I hope you guys enjoy the podcast as much as i hated being picked on and having a hissy fit during the entire podcast LOL
ReplyDeleteBest actor: Jonny Lee Miller. Colin Donnell who throughout the whole season had every emotion possible, including the finale in which he went from hate to sadness to some other emotion that I don't know how to describe. Michael Emerson who started off S2 scared and not sure what to do with himself but by the end of the season he was very different, with great acting in between.
ReplyDeleteBest actress: Maggie Q, she was brilliant in S3 of Nikita, as was Lyndsy Fonseca, especially with Sean's death and Amanda's machine doing stuff to her brain. Cote de Pablo who I thought was excellent in the aftermath of her father's death. Lucy Liu was superb as Watson. Really portrayed the female version well.
Worst actress has to go to Kim Raver's utterly pointless stint on Revolution.
Best show would be Arrow, one of the most action packed shows I've ever seen, and yet it still makes me laugh. POI which is undeniably the best show in the history of life. Elementary had a strong season, and I think NCIS was very good too. I thought Touch was a much better second season than the first.
Worst show: Hands down, i agree with you, Whitney. I have only seen adverts on Comedy Central UK and I refuse to watch anything more than that.
Worst cancellation: CSI NY. My second favourite CSI franchise (after CSI Miami). They did end it well though. I was sad to see Touch go but there wasn't anywhere it could go.
TV Highlight: Eli David's death on NCIS. He has got to be my most hated recurring character ever. I was so happy that he was killed. Mac proposing to Christine in the CSI NY series finale was brilliant. And, I have to return to Person of Interest, winning the category with the introduction and continued use of my favourite character... BEAR!
Best episode: Arrow 1x16, 1x20 and 1x23 were very good. Three episodes that I have rewatched many times already. NCIS 10x12 was incredibly strong. POI had a very strong season but eps 11-13 and the final two were the best. Hawaii Five-0 3x06 was brilliant too. Loved Danny's backstory.
The Jim Caviezel award: JC in 2x13. CJ, 2x13 was the one where Reese and Snow were taken by Kara and forced to break into that building, where Snow killed both himself and Kara (and we saw Finch's name on the note). 2x11 was with Reese in prison. We saw him at the start and that was it (it was the one where Finch taught the class). 2x12 was the interogation episode. Jeez CJ, for a POI lover, you don't remember much of it...
The slap award: Whitney. Enough said.
OMG WTF: Tommy's death in Arrow. I sort of picked it as a 'it might happen but it's unlikely'. Kensi and Deeks' kiss in NCIS LA. Also, Irene being Moriarty. What was that about?! Genius.
Saddest death/emotional scene: Tommy's death in Arrow, Sean's death in Nikita. Superb acting by all involved.
Best duo: Sherlock and Watson, Reese and Finch (duh), Steve and Danny in H50, Callen and Sam in NCIS LA.
Cliffhanger: Revolution where (SPOILER) Rachel walks into Monroe's camp in episode 18 and is about to set off a grenade.
I loved the podcast as always guys. Nice that CJ got a few sympathy wins. Also, CJ said he didn't like Touch, then you had the theme tune to end the podcast!!!!
I'm surprised there was no Tatiana Maslany mention. She was brilliant at the Orphan black. Also no love for Parenthood ,Monica Porter rock this season.
ReplyDeleteAgree on Homeland Claire Danes great as always and Dexter's Michael C.Hall and Jennifer Carpenter had great season. Also great season for Zooey Deschanel.
I'm a huge fan of Castle but I do agree with CJ that it was an OK season but nothing special.
Gonna have to check out The Following cause I heard a lot good about that show.
