Previously, on Pretty Little Liars: Melissa provided some answers, Ashley Marin looked guiltier by the minute, masks became a huge connection to Alison DiLaurentis, Emily tried to keep family services away from her parents and Malcolm wandered around Rosewood buying books and being puzzled as to why Aria hadn't come to visit.
Mama Hastings doesn't settle for anything less than the best for her daughters, and since Spencer didn't get into UPenn (I'm still convinced that rejection letter is a fake), she's hired an admissions coach. Radley or no Radley, if Spencer Hastings doesn't get into the college of her choice, there's no hope for the rest of us! Speaking of colleges, the girls discover that Cicero college may hold some of Alison's secrets since Tippi's phone number is similar to the campus's area code. Detective Spencer is on the case! She makes her way around a Cicero sorority party to see if anyone recognizes Alison, but Emily actually socializes and mingles with the sisters in hopes of getting a scholarship. Emily, you're losing focus -- we, the viewers, need to know what happened to Alison! College can wait. After coming across many dead ends, Spencer finally hits the jackpot when she stumbles upon a creepy room in the sorority house with a creepy radio playing creepy music and a creepy telephone that's connected to TIPPI'S PHONE NUMBER! Who was making calls to Alison from this phone? And why exactly were there scratch marks on the wall of that room?!
There's some serious "buzz worthy" pretty little mama drama going on in this episode! "A" targets the parents once again by putting a few bees in Ella's car. So, she is resting and covered in calamine lotion for part of the episode. Mike Montgomery is back, and a Mike/Aria showdown actually leads to the words "Frisky with Fitz." He doesn't think it's such a great idea for Ella to take her trip with her new beau, Zack, while Aria needs her to get out of Rosewood and away from "A"! Interestingly enough, Aria turns to her father, Byron Montgomery, to see if he can convince Ella to change her mind. Oddly, he actually encourages his ex-wife to do what makes her happy.
In other Rosewood news, Ashley Marin wants to hire Veronica Hastings as her lawyer since she believes the police are building a case against her. (Why would you ever believe they think you're guilty, Ashley?) While mom's away, Hanna will play...detective. She breaks into Ashley's closet to find the one thing she hoped she wouldn't -- her father's gun! Hanna joins the girls at the sorority party, but she didn't come alone. She has the gun in tow, and she plans to hide it as far away from Rosewood as possible. Actually, to bury it. These girls definitely don't have luck when it comes to burying evidence! The cops find the little liar covering the gun with dirt, and Hanna Marin is led to a police car in HANDCUFFS. A Pretty Little Liar has been arrested!
Next week, Spoby heads to Ravenswood! Tune in to "Under the Gun" next Tuesday at 8/7c on ABC Family!
