OH MY GODS. IS THIS THE BEST SHOW OR THE BEST SHOW EVER?

Seriously - one of the MOST intense episodes of ANYTHING I have seen in years. Continuum continues build upon its complicated multi-factional storyline full of anti-heroes and differing agendas and plot twist and OH MY GODS.

  3. Why sci-fi fans aren't all over this in the US, I'll never know. Just as long as the show runs it's course then at some point all will have an opportunity to watch this outstanding and fun show.

So excited to see where this episode leads in the finale, but also terrified at the wait afterwards. I wonder when we will hear about Season 3?

  6. So many questions. Most of all relating to the timeline. For Jason to father Alec, the event at the execution chamber will have to have happened in every possible future in order to send him back in time which would suggest that the future Kiera came from is unavoidable. HOWEVER, we already know this to not be completely true as certain events have already been altered.

My theory on this is that it will ultimately boil down to alternate universes. Each time a person travels back in time a new universe is created. There are a few signs that point to this. The fact that when they initially left 2077 everyone else in the chamber remained the same and no changes were evident. The fact Kellogs Grandmother was murdered and yet he remained alive.

The only point that would detract from this is that they all managed to end up in the same universe - albeit at a few different points in time.

It's one of those shows where you think you have it figured but something else comes undone and throws theory into chaos!

SO much better than anything else on TV at the moment.

  7. Alec can't create himself. At least not according to any logic I know. So that means in the initial or previous universe, someone else developed time travel and sent Alec's Dad back THEN the universe that Kiera is from was created.

I doubt its the alec that is the factor of that future - its the technology he creates(think: Skynet - it does not matter who does it if it ends up the same). Also - who said that this is the FIRST future there is? For all we know this has happened infinite number of times

Freelancers and Alec's father could be from entirely different timeline or from different point in time - Alec's father would always be estranged, Alec would always grow up with the mother, etc.

We already have seen that "kill your own grandfather" does not apply in Continuum's ruleset. Most likely those who travel through time get literally cut off from the whole chain of causality, leading to their minds slowly breaking apart as they literally are the impossible existence.

  9. I can imagine Kiera finally going back to the future which would be a different future just to see her husband with another woman asking her : Who are you???? Do I know you?

Kiera ending up in the nuthouse.

  10. How about this, yes they are a genetic match, but did you notice they kept skirting around the word "father" in the exchange between Alec and Jason. They both said you weren't there. Jason is not Alec's father, rather the other way around. Alec is Jason's father.

  12. I actually didn't care about Emily's death. I was more worried for Kiera to get the device at the time.
