With Shahi and Acker the next season is looking better than ever. Now let's just hope that funding the better known new additions won't drag down other departments of the show.
I knew it! Yeeehhhaaaa! I remember when I told someone when we were discussing the Blu-Ray cover for Season 2 and I told that person that with any luck she'd be upped to series regular for Season 3 asides from Shahi, and my dream came true! Hooray!
It is a police procedural but it has an interesting twist. I'd say give the first few episodes a shot and see what you think. It becomes more serial in season 2 but the procedural still outweighs the serial. It does have excellent acting and fight scenes but like any procedural a lot of whether you'll like the episode comes down to how much you like the case of the week. Personally it is my favorite police procedural currently airing, but I rarely watch it live, preferring to marathon it several episodes at a time.
Hmmm.. Honestly I'm not sure what to make of this.
I like Root, but she seemed more powerful and mysterious when seen only occasionally. -Having her on as a regular could lead to more serialized elements... Which would be a good thing. - Having her on regularly could lead to her character feeling less special, less mysterious. That would be a bad thing indeed.
The idea of Sarah Shahi being added excites me becasue it gives Team Machine the ability to more things against larger groups without calling in Cater. I guess I am not sure where Root will fit into the series exactly. A third party going after Decima? A frenemy to Team Machine that will be an instigator and chaos factor? A rival to Team Machine that will be working the numbers on her own for her own agenda?
Think LOST. Then take out the mystical stuff and add the recent USA espionage scandal and the whole espionage history of USA and you have Person of Interest.
Hmm...not sure if want. I was fine with it before they started messing with the core of the show, and when it was just the Finch, Reese, Carter and Fusco show. I'll still watch it though.
I doubt that was all that they announced at the POI panel though. Come on www.spoilertv.com! Give us at least a description of what footage if any was shown of a sneak peek for Season 3, or what was discussed by the writers, producers, and cast.
I love this show so much. Root and Shaw doesn't matter to me one way or another if they're regulars. The show has always been amazing with or without them.
Fred was damn lovable and strong, that's for sure, but I don't know if I can agree with her being Acker's best role. I would call it the deepest one though, in terms of characterization.
Andy's not here for the weekend and I think there are only a handful of people able to post comic con content in his absence. I'm sure once the panel is on youtube, somebody will probably post it!
I think it depends what they want to do with her. I mean she could turn out to be an anti-hero, which could be interesting...And I'm surprised we haven't got the news yet of who'll play "Ma'am", as that seems like it should be a pretty big role!
Wow, so there's something that actually scares Root (That can't be good). Either that or she's jerking that psychologist around. Thanks for posting the video and letting us know about this by the way. :)
Wah-freaking hoo. Huge fan of Acker. If any of you haven't seen her as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, see it, she is great. This has been my favorite show for a while now and Amy Acker being upped to a regular... I'm just happy.
Finally, YES! Now, the cast is complete! I just know that Season 3 is gonna be ever more awesome than before! But I can't imagine how's that even possible!
Yeah It's the first season. She is Nova/*ASTRID (Pretty sure it's a FRINGE reference, as Fairy's are "nuns" in Storybrooke and thus play to 'angels' = "making angels") was "Dreamy's" love interest, before he turned all "Grumpy"...
I lost interest and stopped watching around 5 or 6 episodes into season 2. it was becoming the same thing every week imo. I did love all of the episodes with the Root character, so I guess its time for me to catch up and give season 3 a chance.
AWESOME news, but I have to add I truly LOVE fusco and I really would like to see more of him in the season 3 plus lovely Zoe. Amy and Sarah are super awesome and it is great to see them more. I am extremely happy...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Okay, I don't watch this, but I do love her and Ben from Lost whose real name I can't remember right now so now I'm torn on whether or not I should.
ReplyDeleteMichael Emerson.
ReplyDeleteOMG yeeeeeeeeeeees! I love her, as I love Root too <3
ReplyDeleteOh this is fantastic!

ReplyDeleteHis real name is Michael Emerson.

ReplyDeleteWoohoo! She is awesome in the show. :)
ReplyDeleteI miss Fred
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGuess that means Root won't be dying anytime soon. Darn.
ReplyDeleteFirst Sarah, now Amy? Has Christmas come early?
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!!!

ReplyDeleteThe joys of Comic-con (Or Christmas in July, your pick) XD
ReplyDeleteMe too. Best role Amy Acker ever had.
ReplyDeleteSeason 2 gets more serialized in the second seaon, and unlike the rest of Bad Robot's stuff, it's much more politically driven (The JN factor!!)
ReplyDeleteTruly great news. Next season is going to be even more kinds of awesome than the already legendary levels that Person of Interest has hit.
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. Honestly I'm not sure what to make of this.

Some of those sound better than others to me...
Where did you find this,lol...
ReplyDeleteI WAS WAITING FOR THIS~~~
ReplyDeleteYESSSSSSSS.
The best news ever.

ReplyDeletewow! the show went from 3 men 1 woman to 3 and 3. I am all for that honestly, specially with characters like Shaw and Root.
ReplyDeleteFred was damn lovable and strong, that's for sure, but I don't know if I can agree with her being Acker's best role. I would call it the deepest one though, in terms of characterization.
ReplyDeleteThis was the video they showed. It shows what's going on with the NSA mixed with Person of Interest. The sneak peek is at the very end.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KoElIeOJcM
not necessarily in the very end. They snuck in quite some bits in between old footage too ;]
ReplyDeleteI quickly made it!
ReplyDeleteAmy Acker was the best news of the painel. I read the all description.
ReplyDeleteAndy's not here for the weekend and I think there are only a handful of people able to post comic con content in his absence. I'm sure once the panel is on youtube, somebody will probably post it!

ReplyDeleteI was wondering if we would get that info too.
ReplyDeleteSeems like most of my fav shows were stingy with casting info at Comic-Con!
Oh well, still a lot of fun interviews and whatnot without casting nuggets

Yes!
ReplyDeleteI am still waiting for Nova to turn evil and start to secretly murder people :/
ReplyDeleteTruly fantastic news!
ReplyDeleteI hate saying this but once again but i do not remember her in OUaT....oh boy! I hope this is from the first season?
ReplyDeleteYeah It's the first season. She is Nova/*ASTRID (Pretty sure it's a FRINGE reference, as Fairy's are "nuns" in Storybrooke and thus play to 'angels' = "making angels") was "Dreamy's" love interest, before he turned all "Grumpy"...

ReplyDeleteMore Amy Acker in any capacity is good news....
ReplyDeleteIllyria... both awesome in different ways...
ReplyDeleteCool!!!
ReplyDeleteAWESOME news, but I have to add I truly LOVE fusco and I really would like to see more of him in the season 3 plus lovely Zoe.
