  1. Wait, I thought he was a Lost Boy, not Peter Pan. When did that change?

  2. He??... i don't like this....

  3. I expected much better. It disappoints me :(

  4. Finally! Now I can die in peace...

  5. I was expecting someone a little bit older than him.

  6. Who? A very old teenage? BUAHAHAHAHA

  7. It was a code name.

  8. Awww, he looks adorable.

  10. He looks much younger than i expected

  11. This little kid is supposed to be the big bad of the season???

  12. I'm honestly kind of excited about this. Robert Carlyle is impressed by him and said he's very excited for Peter Pan because of a "lovely actor who was playing him", so count me intrigued! I didn't really want to see anybody older than middle to late teens play Peter, but it's always hard to find a solid young actor at times. I think they've done really well in casting Robbie. Bring on season three!

  13. Well I thought he was cute in POTC:OST (which then makes this casting more appropriate). I wish him the best of luck. I'm kind of glad he "appears" close in age to Henry, despite that he is probably much older.

  14. Are you saw him at the casting? *end of sarcasm*

  15. According to IMDB the kid playing Peter Pan is 5 years older than Henrys Actor.

  16. I'm not sure... I'll have to see how the story plays out, I was expecting him to be a bit older. I'm still Team Hook.

  17. He doesn't look 17 to me....

  18. I'm on the fence concerning this, could work out great, could end badly. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yes, but he looks young for his age.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well 1st of all the Kid is not a little Kid he's 17 years of Age. We'll have to see how this goes.

  21. this is not what i was expecting from peter pan

  22. I expected someone that looks much older and after the casting of Tinkerbell I was hoping this would be just as good. I'm really hoping they do better when they cast Ariel.

  23. Just think about Joffrey on Game of Thrones. He is young and evil ;)

    ReplyDelete
  24. What exactly were you people expecting Peter Pan was a Kid that chose never to grow up.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wow he looks young.

  26. A couple of reasons might be:
Once Upon A Time does do "twists" on the original tales and also it sounds like Peter Pan is the season's new villain, possibly the head of "The Believers" (Greg and Tamara's organization).

It's hard to reconcile that someone who appears so youthful, so childlike, could be a villain, so I can understand the expectation to have him appear on the more 'young man' side of the teen spectrum, rather than the near puberty side.

But we also don't know what the deal is with the shadow either, so I wouldn't expect a villain just being born, but made :)

  27. In theory his age (17) is good, I was thinking between 14-17 for Peter Pan, however the actor Robbie Kay looks like he's 12. Hopefully theses are old pictures and he's grown a lot. Peter pan should look older and be taller than Henry.

  28. It seems to be a recent pic of him, here's one of him from 2012: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm971552512/nm2264199

  29. He's one 2011 he looks a bit older

  30. I'm waiting and seeing before judging. The actor is the right age to play Peter Pan. Maybe he looks younger, but maybe we're also just used to 20 year olds playing teenagers. ha

Although the kids in my junior/senior year of high school did look a bit older than he does.

  31. One wise from many "experts".

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sweetie, "do better when they cast"? You did not saw him at "once upon a time" and you wrote "do better when they cast"?

  33. Make up does wonders.

  34. "I'm waiting and seeing before judging." One of the few wise decisions on this website.

  35. But.... but... he's too nice to be Peter Pan. He follows me on Twitter!

    ReplyDelete
  36. In REAL life Robert Carlyle and Lana Parrilla are nice too and look what characters they are playing?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, he's cute! That may not be what ABC are going for, but he is. I'll be watching simply because I want to see what his character acts like. Right now, I'm only seeing a cute, young boy. If his character turns out to be the exact opposite, then it's going to be fun to see him in a brand new light.

  38. I LOVE YOU FOR WHAT YOU SAID!

  39. Appearance in Neverland is meaningless. You know why? Because it's Land Without Time.

  40. What exactly were you people expecting Peter Pan was a Kid that chose never to grow up. Not some 25-30 year old man.

  41. I get paid over $87
per hour working from home with 2 kids at home. I never thought I'd be able
to do it but my best friend earns over 10k a month doing this and she
convinced me to try. The potential with this is endless. Heres what I've been
    doing,www.bar28.ℂom

I am okay with this casting - Peter Pan has always been a child - that's the whole point of neverland -its the land where you do not grow up and "Peter Pan" is the embodiment of that. And having somewhat villainous and creepy CHILD is very effective.

    ReplyDelete
  43. People, have you seen him in action? Do you know what his acting chops are? Probably not. Peter Pan is supposed to be a child, not a teenager.

Look at the actor portraying Joffrey. The fact that everyone hates his character is because the actor portraying him is superb in the role. The actor apparently is a real gentleman in real life. Never underestimate the talent of a young actor.

  44. Disappointing to say the least...not to mention the fact that since he's a kid we can expect the whiny, annoying and bad acting (much like Henry).

YEAH!!!!!! He looks exactly like Peter Pan!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Agreed. They were expecting a hot looking bad guy. How original. Meh.

  47. Nicolás Caballero MühlbachJuly 28, 2013 at 11:48 PM

    He is almost 18.

  48. I wasn't sure if it was a land without time (becuase quantum mechanically time actually doesn't exit, timing does), as much as it was a land where one can not "age", because you see if a land had no time, you could not "move" in it's space...you would have no event order (which is a "time line" of events)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have. In POTC:OST he has a lot of presence and energy for having such a small role. IMO he's memorable. -But the reason I think some us are surprised, is because unlike Barry's plays and novels, this Peter Pan is said to be a villain!! -So you can see the oxymoron here with choosing a very childlike Peter Pan to play something that one might associate with darkness or great strength.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very excited and feel good about the casting choice, but I can understand why it might come off as a surprise, because some of us had moved away from "traditional" Peter Pan in light of learning he might not be hero anymore!

  50. I think they wanted an actor who will look the same age (12-14) for the next couple of years coz he might make frequent appearances. Look at Wendy for example. She was 19 the actress but easily played a 14 year old. And I don't think people change as much between 17 and say 20. But I could be wrong and everyone is different.

  51. I almost expected Once peeps to choose some hot teenager or young adult. Glad they went the child route, since Peter Pan is supposed to be the boy who never grew up, or something like that. Perhaps only the shadow is evil, since it's detached from the body, and devoid of soul, while the child himself is still good-ish?

  52. Yeah, he does look the part...
