Jayma Mays is indeed leaving "Glee". The actress who plays Emma Pillsbury on the FOX hit musical series confirmed the news herself when hitting the red carpet at the premiere event of her new movie "The Smurfs 2" in California. "This is going to be my last season," she spilled to Access Hollywood.
Mays plays Matthew Morrison's on-screen love interest on the show. Co-workers at the William McKinley High, they tied the knot on the finale of the last season. It's unclear how her character would get written off. "I'm finishing up this season, so I'm not sure what direction and who's coming on and who's not," she said.

She said she would come back for a few appearances in s6. You didn't post the full article.
ReplyDeleteThe end has began
ReplyDeleteshe said she'd make a few more appearances in s6. you didn't post the full article.
ReplyDeleteIt's gonna be sad and frustrating if she and Will end up getting a divorce
ReplyDeleteWe are not allowed to post the full article, only a summary or part of it. Plus she said she would like to appear, there is no guarantee she would be able to. :)
ReplyDeleteof course she'd be able to...her new show isn't gonna make it
ReplyDeletedefinitely don't see that happening
ReplyDeleteI've been suspecting it since she joined the main cast of The Millers. Well, hopefully they will do a better job at writing Emma off than with the high school graduates.
ReplyDeleteit is not her choice. the writers may not decide they want her or even worse they may kill her off. A broken Will would make a good storyline
ReplyDeleteHoping they just cut off the Mckainly part of the show. hehe. Nyada/NY
ReplyDeleteAnd you can't automatically assume her show isn't going to make it. I thought the same thing about The Neighbors and it's still around.
ReplyDeleteGood for her! :) but i'm sad for Will... or maybe Matthew leaves too, so that would be good for him too lol
ReplyDeleteNo big deal she was barely in the last season anyway
ReplyDeleteThey won't be killing off Emma, especially after what happened with Cory/Finn.
ReplyDeleteShe never actually said that. She said she'd be open for more guesting which leads me to believe she'll be leaving the show somewhere in the first half. I can't think of any scenario where she remains married to Will and not appear as often. Will's other stories revolve around her and she did get tenure so there's not doubting she's always in school. Sad to say she might get killed off (worst case) or some sort of separation or firing. Maybe she decides to give her slot to Sue so she can return
ReplyDeleteThat would be sad if they can no longer kill of characters due to that. I honestly think killing of Emma would be great creatively if she won't be able to commit to solid guesting due to The Millers
ReplyDeleteI fairly enjoyed the Neighbors and I'm glad it's still around
ReplyDeleteI thought that was what would happen, or that they would spin-off the NYC cast to another show, but now with what went on with Cory, I'm not sure anymore.
ReplyDeleteSame. It was much better than I thought it'd be.
ReplyDeleteYeah me too. Although.. Finn was going to a university in Lima. He wasn,t a big part of the NY arc except to be Rachel's love interest. I hope it still works out, have Rachel be more about her career or something. I'm just happy the show is still on
ReplyDeleteYes, but I think the question is: will Lea be able to handle the show? Wouldn't she rather take some time for herself? Without her, the NYC story just doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteIm already thinking S6 will be the last so im happy they are starting to wrap up stories
ReplyDeleteRyan Murphy released a statement saying Lea didn't want to quite the show. They're filming 3 episodes right now, then taking time off to figure out what to do. Glee always have a super long break anyway for American Idol and baseball (?i think) so it's all good. I wouldnt blame her for wanting to go, but at the same time, working and spending time with your friends helps a lot more then not doing anything, life goes on. We'll see :)
ReplyDeleteconsidering the road they are taking it wont be a problem for her to leave. They focus so much on these new characters that the old ones seem like background actors.
ReplyDeleteI will miss her on Glee, although I missed her character the last two season since her role got a lot smaller.
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago.
ReplyDeleteIt's Glee. They'll just forget about her existence.
