Syfy has greenlighted a 90-minute pilot for Dominion , a drama based on characters from the 2010 feature Legion, which starred Paul Bettany. The feature’s director/co-writer Scott Stewart is directing the pilot, written by Vaun Wilmott (Sons Of Anarchy ). Dominion is described as an epic supernatural action drama set 25 years in the future after a war between an army of angels and mankind has transformed the world. It follows the perilous journey of a rebellious young soldier who discovers he’s the unlikely savior of humanity. Bold Films, which produced the movie for Screen Gems, is co-producing with Universal Cable Prods. Stewart and Bold’s Michel Litvak and David Lancaster executive produce, with Wilmott , co-executive producing.

  1. i felt like there could be a sequel to that movie when i watched it, but there won't be since many would not like it. i guess someone liked it enough.

  2. Why are they remaking bad movies into worse TV shows? What kind of dumb trend is that?

  3. I can only hope that the TV show is better than the movie.

  5. I have Legion on DVD only for the non-freaky angels (Michael, Gabriel). Not enough good angel movies around. May check this out but it's on Syfy so I don't have high hopes. Only a few of their shows have been good. I like the idea it follows the kid's story.

  6. I'm not going to hold the film against the potential series. I liked the concept of the film but had plenty of disdain for its execution. I'm willing to give this project a clean slate but Dominion has a steep uphill battle if it expects to win people over. I'll be very interested to see who is cast in this.
