TVLine has learned exclusively that PLL ‘s erstwhile wild child Cece Drake has been cast as Edit “Eddie” Janko, a rookie cop who is assigned as Jamie Reagan’s new partner upon graduating from the Academy.
Described as “fresh, eager and ready to roll,” Eddie’s reasons for joining the NYPD, like Jamie’s, have to do with the circumstances of her upbringing — though she comes from a far different legacy than that of the Reagans.

Upon first reading the headline, I thought it would be yet another new partner for 'Danny'. It's great to see some additional story progress on something other than the 'Danny Reagan Show'.

Unlike Danny's new partner, who was made a series regular, I assume Jamie's partner is just recurring. At least this means Jamie's storyline is progressing. I wish the show would give more story to the rest of the Reagan family though.
