Ghost Whisperer grad David Conrad has landed a Marvel-ous new gig.

TVLine has learned exclusively that the actor is joining ABC’s surefire hit Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a recurring role.

As is customary with The Avengers TV offshoot, details about his character are shrouded in secrecy. However, the show has been casting the role of a brilliant and quirky scientist that matches Conrad’s description (i.e., male in his 40s).

    I've missed him since Ghost Whisperer ended! I am excited for this.

    Although I've been watching Grimm for nearly a year and thought he was Renard. Oops. He and the guy who actually does play Renard look and sound exactly the same! Mind blown.

    It would be very cool if the 'brilliant and quirky scientist' he's playing is actually Hank Pym AKA Ant-Man. I think it would be awesome for them to introduce the character through the TV series for his solo movie outing next year. Conrad looks good for it, 40s is probably about right and this is about the time they'd want to cast the role for the film.

    I was staring at this guy's picture wondering why I knew his face having never seen Ghost Whisperer. One IMDb search later - he was in Roswell. Thumbs up SHIELD. Can't wait for this to premiere.
