AX: Will Mary Lynn Rajskub’s character Chloe be back next year in 24?
GORDON: I hope so. As a fan, I absolutely hope so. The truth is, we’re at the beginning of the process. Things aren’t written in stone yet, so we’re not sure. But the good news is, all the writers are back. David Fury, Manny Coto and Evan Katz, yeah. And Evan and Manny are running the show with me.
AX: Is Jon Cassar, who was a directing producer on 24 the series, on it as a directing producer?
GORDON: Yes. Absolutely. I’m going to go up to see Jon. He’s shooting a movie [REDEMPTION] right now with Donald Sutherland [father of 24 star Kiefer Sutherland] in Calgary. So I’m going to go up and see them and pitch them a little bit [of story ideas for the miniseries].

Oh please, do whatever it takes to get Chloe back. She's my favorite character.
ReplyDeleteIt just wouldn't be the same if Chloe wasn't in it,she was Jacks lifeline for just about everything!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I would love her to be back, her and Audrey
ReplyDeleteThat would be great, 24 always had great recurring roles. Perhaps we can get Cole Ortiz to return as well? :)
ReplyDeleteI love Chloe and I hope she returns.
ReplyDeleteI disagree.I never liked her.I find her to be anoying character.
ReplyDeleteJack : When you first came to CTU... I never thought it was you that was going to cover my back all those years. I know that everything that you did today was to try and protect me. I know that. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteChloe [crying - and so was I] : Good luck, Jack.
Am I the only one who thinks this is the perfect ending between Jack and Chloe, am I the only one who values this scene that sounds a whole lot like a farewell? I'm not Chloe's biggest fan, but even I thought her goodbye scene with Jack in episode 8.24 was great. Don't ruin that by making her come back, at least not as Jack's hears and eyes in the FBI, CTU, etc.
It would be seriously disappointing to find that formula again. Chloe shouldn't even be working at a government agency in the first place, she did help Jack cover up his escape in episode 8.24 - those who've seen the (stupid) extra footage shot for the DVD set showing Homeland Security coming to Chloe's house the next day and putting her under arrest for what she did. Even if that DVD bonus is irrelevant to the show, I still don't want to find Chloe being Jack's only ally, having access to resources,
If 24 is coming back, it shpuld be with something fresh, not a rehash of the past. If Chloe is important to the story, as Jack's friend and not as a way for the writers to keep Jack going forward, now that changes things and in that case, please include her in the story.
It's not really news though. It'd be news if Howard Gordon had said "no, I don't ever want to see Mary Lynn Rajskub again". He's never going to close the door on an actor's return, that's not a surprise.
Hopefully Mia Kirshner (Mandy), Thomas Kretschmann (Max), Eugene Robert Glazer (Trepkos), Jude Ciccolella (Mike Novick) and Glenn Morshower (Aaron Pierce) are also coming back, now those are returns I want to see. Okay, maybe I'm pushing it with Max and Trepkos but at least Mike, Aaron and Mandy, they can easily be inserted into the story, helping the new President / working as a mercenary for a foe. I'd tie Mandy with her seasons 1-2 shady German partners, but let's not get greedy, if she comes back I'll already be very happy.
Never liked her character that much tbh...
ReplyDeleteAs long as they don't kill her off in the first ten minutes because they had "nothing to do with her" then that's fine....
ReplyDeleteReally want her back!
