Hey All,
After well over 100+ fantastic banner entries it's now time for you to vote for the banner that you would like to see as the Official Banner for the 2013/14 Season.
The SpoilerTV Team have gone through all the entries and they have all picked their Favourites. I have then collated the best 21 of these picks which we present below.
Testing how a banner looks.
If you want to test how each of the banners will look like in real life, just follow the instructions below.
1) Get the direct link to the banner by right clicking on the banner below and selecting "Copy Link Location"
2) Click on Help from the top menu and select Banner Selector
3) In the popup box paste the link to the banner in the box provided and then press the "Click to Set Image" button.
4) That will then set the banner. To go back or try another banner, simply repeat steps 1-3) again.

There are some really great entries this year but No.11 is by far the best imho. The colours and quality are simply stunning. 7 and 12 are also very good.

ReplyDeletewow, i'm glad we have the banner selector. besides #11, the others that are getting the most votes clearly have poorer image quality and/or strange colouring rather than some that aren't getting many votes...

ReplyDeleteEleven is the best, imo. Doesn't focus too much on one show but includes all of the STV favorites equally.

ReplyDeleteI was hoping to enter this but my PC died and my laptop catches fire if I try to start Photoshop.
I voted 11, tho I would have liked to see Kerry Washington in there; I don't even watch Scandal but that show is big.

ReplyDeleteYou can definitely learn a lot about the type of person who made a banner by looking at the shows they selected to feature
ReplyDeleteI also like 11 but voted for some others, however 11 needs a bit more color - the blue and grey is a little plain despite the great range of characters shown
I liked 12 the best. It is just heads and shoulders above the rest. I know everyone seems to love 11, but for me, it cut way too many images off and didn't include some of the better shows that are here. And if they are included, I couldn't tell because of so many faces being cut off. Just my opinion. It's good to know that if it does win, I can choose to use the current banner still :)

ReplyDeleteActually, if I'm honest I'd like to keep the banner as now it is, can I keep that on? If I have to choose, 11 is the best.

ReplyDeleteReally? Is 11 the one winning? This time I'm going to have to learn how to change it. I mean it's kind of original and artistic, but I hardly recognize the faces. I won't be feeling so welcome when hitting the webpage, as I feel now, when I immediately recognize so many familiar characters that I love.

ReplyDeleteI like 11, it was in my top 5 but not my favourite. Its great for showing a bit of every show just not amazing for show a lot of shows. I'll be fine with it winning

ReplyDeleteI have to say I'm surprised at some of the final entries including my own! The banner I thought would def win isn't even top 3, I'm glad we can pick our own as banner 11 is not for me but well done to all who put in the effort a huge amount of talent exhibited!

ReplyDeleteBanner #11 has it all: Incredible artistic attention to detail, a bold new logo, dozens of incredible characters representing many shows, and a color scheme that matches the look of STV.

The 11th is the best one... But Alison Brie is on the 6th, so i don't have a choice but to go with that xD

ReplyDeleteLots of great ones, but I voted for banners 2, 10 and 11.
ReplyDeleteBanner 11 seems to be the crowd-pleaser so far, and banner 10 has a decent share of votes, but banner 2 is a bit behind and I don't understand why. I love its striking colors and the simplicity of it all (banner 11 is quite of the opposite of that and yet I like it too).
Banner 2 has a lot of style and I feel like someone visiting SpoilerTV for the first time will think it's catchy. Besides, showing Walter White in his yellow suit is automatically a win for me. And it has the advantage of featuring only current shows and only one character of each show - many banners feature two co-stars in a prominent position, whereas here it's an equal share for all 10 characters.
Also, I love Fringe but I don't think we should be seeing it on these 2013/14 banners, same for House or Gossip Girl. These shows are over, when there are so many great current shows that are not represented. The Americans, House of Cards, Rectify, Justified, etc. Yes, they're less popular, but showing them alongside the cool kids (Arrow, Walking Dead, etc.) could give them popularity, and attract new readers to SpoilerTV.
7 and 11 are my favourites, voted 7 but now I'm starting to think 11...

ReplyDeleteI think 12 is by far the best banner. It has an awesome layout. I have already set it to be my banner on SpoilerTV, so thanks to the talented artist who created it.:-)
ReplyDeleteAll of them are amazing! Personal favorites are Banners 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 14, 20, 21. 16 and 19 also caught my attention but has fewer shows featured. All of these I mentioned I also noticed among all the other entries, and there were still several very good ones back there. Voted for 11, nonetheless. :D

ReplyDeleteWe change it every year. You can use whatever banner you like, no one is forcing you to use the official one

ReplyDeleteAnyway, it definitely wasn't complaint against the SpoilerTV (because I adore SpoilerTV) but more against the way that time flies and world changes and stuff :) Sorry if I seemed rude.
I knew as soon as #11 was posted that the competition was done and dusted! Oh well, at least I still get to use my own entries anyway :)
