Here are more big spoilers from the pilot script, and book readers should know that they contain details that are different from how things happened in the book:
Dodee Wheeler and Phil Bushey (who both work at the radio station) hear a faint mililary voice on the radio station’s receiver talking about waiting for authorization to fire a nuclear warhead at the dome.
After he sees Angie McClatchey flirting with Dale "Barbie" Barbara, Junior Rennie knocks her out, kidnaps her and locks her in his father’s fallout shelter.
Norrie (a teenage girl passing through town with her mothers Carolyn Hill and Alice Calvert), and Joe (Angie’s younger brother) each separately have seizures and repeat the same phrase: The pink stars are falling. The pink stars are falling in lines.
Deputy Linda Everett is engaged to Rusty, a firefighter, who is trapped outside the dome and away from Linda.
Near the end of the pilot episode script, Dale looks at the object he was sent to Chester’s Mill to retrieve - an empty black box with a mysterious symbol on the lid.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad its different from the books, the books get pretty screwed up. The idea is good and if the show has different story lines than it could be good but not with the books screwed up story lines.
