Pretty good start if a bit plodding in it's pacing. It didn't quite grab me from the get go like the pilot ep of S1 did, but this reaffirmed that the best character was and still is is Det Holder for me. I skipped S2, so I do have to catch up on a few details, but it shouldn't take much. Looking forward to what the next ep
Very good, up to the quality of the last two seasons. I only watched the first hour and will watch the second hour tonight. It is obvious that Seward is not responsible for the murder, and I hope it's not going to take all season to prove what we know. I enjoyed watching Sarah Linden happy in her non-obsessive position, and with a boyfriend. However, this boyfriend hasn't a clue what Sarah is like when she's on the trail of a murderer. Another broken relationship is down the line, I predict. I thought it was sweet to see Reggie in a committed relationship. Was she being married to her girlfriend? I think so, have to rewatch. One nitpick, don't they teach prison chaplains to stay several feet away from the cell? They should. I left off after the girl got in the car, and her gf was calling to ask where she was. I'm pretty sure something bad happened (her stupid mother!), but I'll find out when I watch the second hour.
I liked it a lot. Love the characters on this show, always so complex, and I really liked the environment they are using for this season and that it is more a serial killer thing than a random death event, although the rosie larsen thing surely was great
Finally got around to watching these two episodes. It's great to see Linden and holder again. The chemistry between them is beautiful. I could watch them all day.
I'm not sure if I dig the new storyline all that much though. I don't really care about the dead prostitute as much as I cared about Rosie Larssen. Not because I don't care about dead prostitutes, but because Rosie had a grieving family that really gave seasons 1 and 2 the emotional punch that this episode didn't really have (by way of comparison, S1E1 had me in tears).
Still, I'm so glad The Killing is back on our screens. And I like how they have linked this case with the case alluded to during Linden's meltdown in S2.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
