HBO’s Game of Thrones closed out its best season yet with nearly its biggest rating ever.
Sunday night’s third season closer “Mhysa” delivered 5.4 million viewers, just shy of its 5.5 million all-time high that was set a few weeks back. That’s up 28 percent compared to last season’s finale. Thrones was against some strong summer broadcast competition that included the NBA Finals and, to a lesser degree, the Tonys.

Its going to be S4 when it really jumps again great to see it slowly become this huge show
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I understood everything you said but I'm backing you up all the way HAHAH
ReplyDeletehahaha I just mean that every year more people catch up with the show during the hiatus and I think because S3 was so crazy it will encourage more people to catch up and S4 will have crazy ratings
ReplyDeleteA weak finale to rival the Walking Dead Season 3 finale
ReplyDeleteAwesome ratings :) Well done Game of Thrones!
ReplyDeleteWell that's unexpected... it should have been better, and with the Red Wedding before it you expect people to have tuned in to see the aftermath.
ReplyDeleteI am very surprised it hasn't hit another series high after the red wedding, i don't remember ever seeing such a crazy reaction to an episode. Well, of course this is just viewership and it could be that in the rating it actually happens, but I doubt it. Still, it did exceptionally well this season, I think it will jump again next year. It was by far my favorite season of the show so far
ReplyDeleteThe showrunners were always really excited for season 3 and while it was an awesome season, having read the books (dw not being smug), I think season 4 will actually be even bigger and probably even better received :) Shame we have to wait 10 months, I am cry
ReplyDeleteWell earned ratings. Great season Game of Thrones!
ReplyDeleteThe gap between seasons is terrible!
ReplyDeleteI agree with this 100%, that is also my prediction
ReplyDeleteNothing will rival how bad TWD finale was.
ReplyDeleteThis.
ReplyDeleteMan, why'd we have to bring that up here? *curses the lame Governor SL on the show*
