Body of Proof - Fails to find a new home

1 Jun 2013

Body Of Proof, despite improving its ratings in the second half of its recent midseason run and getting good marks creatively for its retool, the ABC drama too was cancelled after three seasons. And despite the series boasting an average audience of 11 million viewers this past season and some interest from cable networks, producing studio ABC Studios couldn’t find a new home for the procedural starring Dana Delany.

  1. I haven't watched the new season of Body of Proof. Without Peter it isn't the same for me...
Dana Delany should get back to Castle for episode or more. Agent Shaw was really cool... One of the best guest stars. I liked her more in this character.

  4. Why cancel it? was the demo that bad? 11 millions viewers is more than most shows!

  7. Sad news but I'm glad it at least got a good ending.

  8. ABC cancels a show with 11 million viewers? The demo really must've disappointed...

  9. Finale had a little over 7 million and 1.2 18-49 rating.

  10. Got to be honest with you, I'm almost blind when it comes to demo ratings. I have no idea what they mean or if they are good, but 1.2 doesn't really sound so bad, so this cancellation just sounds like something ABC pulled right out of their ass.

  11. I liked this season much better, but it still drives me crazy, her running around in those heels and standing at the table cutting up bodies in heels. GIVE ME A BREAK. Since I liked the series Human Target with Mark Valley I liked him as her old love this year.

  12. It wasn't awful considering current time of the year and BoP won its timeslot with that 1.2 rating, but ABC probably expected more.

  13. 1.2 is awesome, if you are CW.

  14. I agree,Mark Valley was very good in it! He hasn't been in a show since Boston Legal, meaning a show that lasted more than a few episodes.
