Below is the full list of known pilots for 2014. We'll be doing our best to keep this continually updated as and when new information is posted and new pilots are confirmed. We'll also be updating this to indicate when a show is picked up to Series and when the show is cancelled/abandoned. Thanks to Ivan for helping us keep this updated.
If you have any new info or spot any errors or omissions please let us know in the comments.
Also feel free to let us know in the comments below which Pilots interest you and which ones you think will Bomb!
this is a pretty good feature. i am interested in 'second sight', 'whitey', 'powers', 'hr', 'wonderland', 'murder in the first' and 'rewind'. looking forward to more pilots as the year progresses
I *really* want A&E to give a series order to "Occult" - preferably with a name change. And I'd love to see The League of Extraordinary Gentlement on FOX.
°↠↠Now nothing fret regarding regarding earnings. Our Company wants home users for his or her monetary reportings. I created $3576 this Month already...Here is that the website for additional data➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤➤...www.bay87.â„‚â„´m

I think it would be good to add what has changed since the last update, instead of just the date. What has been added, has been pushed, has been picked up and such.
I hope the 50 Cent comedy doesn't make it to air. I don't want a show from a guy who said gay men should kill themselves and make the world a better place to air on the Sunday night animation block I've been watching for years and years.
DarkFall and High Moon look promising. SyFy is really uping their game for the Spring season. I haven't been this excited since Sci Fi Prime.............for those old enough to remember this! 4 A SOCIAL MEDIA EXPERIENCE, I am Nobody!!!
New Pilots: NBC = Marry Me & Outbreak | Syfy = 12 Monkeys | USA = Untitled Sean Jablonski Drama Picked Up: None Dropped: None Long Term Future Development/Pushed: None
If you wanted to help update the spreadsheet itself as well, just drop me an email. The more people we have to update it, the more accurate we can make it ;)
what about all the New Star Wars Stuff we keep hearing about on tv you know who ever gets that series is in for nice ratings from nerds and geeks. Including Me!!!!!!
Westworld is based on the Movies of the same name. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070909/ It's a shame that the networks are trolling for plots from the 60s and 70s rather than coming up with something new!
CW: I'm kinda rooting against a Flash spin-off considering of what we got on Arrow, if they don't seriously mature Barry up I don't see the show being on my watchlist next year. The Supernatural spin-off feels like a cosmic joke, so far all we heard is that it's about two families of monsters and hunters batteling each other and two lovers being caught between it. Why not call it 'The Supernatural Diaries' ? And it doesen't look like any SPN cast member will be part of it either :/
CBS: I'll ignore every crime centered drama here as I'm genuinely sick of the flood of crime sh*t our way. - How I met you dad sounds like a way to keep the brand alive without slaughtering HIMYM into something that doesen't feature Marshall (Jason Segel obviously wanted out) and something tells me that Barney will appear in that show, Why ? Because he's the franchises face and cash cow, they won't throw him away - The McCarthys sounds like every other comedy show - The Runt sounds like another 'Super Fun Night' - Surgeon General sounds incredibly generic, why not pick up Saving Hope to fill the med drama spot ? - sweet geez, comedy seems to become the new crime procedural - Zoo actually sounds like a great idea for a show, bit of a mix of Relic Hunter and The Swarm maybe ?
ABC - Galavant sounds interesting, a musical comedy ? Alright, if it's made up like a classic musical I'm all for it (casting idea: Stephen Moyer, after Sound of Music he should seriously get a lead role in a few more musicals) - Black Box could become, if done right, a fantastic show but I don't trust ABC to properly produce a 'real' drama
ABC Family - Mystery Girls sounds way too much like a PLL cash in - Young and Hungry does actually ring like a fun idea, I'd give it a show.
FOX - 50 Cent producing an animated comedy show ? Say no more: I'm in. Even if it's beyond stupid this show can only be hillarious - Bordertown could become a good replacement for American Dad, altough I would've kept AD. It's a MacFarlane show, so I don't think it'll be a complete failure. - Gracepoint has Tennant, nuff said - Gotham...I don't know what to think. I had trust in the show until the casting call for a young Bruce Wayne was released now I don't really know what to think Hieroglyph actually sounds great, one show I can't wait for - Wild Blue might become a solid drama, I'd give it a show considering its setting
All of these new projects, none of them hold a candle to some of the shows that have been cancelled in the last couple of years!! I miss #Leverage - what about you guys, do you miss a show that's been canned in favour of new recycled plots??
I sure consider this to be news. Not sure if you're tracking new Netflix pilots, but Kyle Chandler signed onto one from the creators of Damages: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/kyle-chandler-star-netflix-drama-671718
Only two shows set for fall 2014 release by the CW? No third show? If that is the case is it not possible that all four or three of TTP, Reign, Star crossed and the 100 could be renewed?
That's all they have ordered so far, there are plenty of other CW shows in development. http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/08/new-feature-upcoming-show-development.html
Sea of Fire has to be my favourite. I also really like Red Band Society, How To Get Away With Murder and Coercion, although for some reason I'm afraid if Coercion gets picked up it will turn into another Hostages. :/
Wow can't believe the Scorsese/Winters/Jagger Rock'N Roll Drama was dropped! It was starting to have an interesting cast. I was so happy for Bobby Cannavale and Olivia Wild :( Oh well thanks for the updates.
Oh! Ha no problem! I was just surprised, because it seemed like something that they wouldn't pass up unless the Pilot was bad! Thanks for letting me know though! :D
Does anybody know if David Anders' villain is only for the pilot movie of IZombie, or is he supposed to be a regular character? Just wondering because procedurals don't normally have a recurring badguy.
Deadline refers to him as the shows bad guy. I'm assuming considering who's behind it that all the cases will be linked. (It sounds like they're all linked to a drug ring that Anders character is apart of)
I always save a copy of the previous version, so when I do the updates, I just compare them and make a list of what has changed. It usually doesn't take me that long, let's see how long it takes me this time. As long as there's music playing in the background, I probably won't even notice how much time actually passed.
I read somewhere else that Ex-Men is the title that the picked up We Are Men used to have. Is the Ex-Men on this list a different show, did it getting picked up under another name get overlooked, or was the site where I read about the name change wrong?
If I may, I think you can safely remove the following shows (all are on the air / have already aired): The Black Box (ABC), Turn (AMC), Looking (HBO), Silicon Valley (HBO), Faking It (MTV).
Premiere dates for these shows have been announced so you might want to remove them too: Outlander (Starz), Dominion (Syfy), Murder in the First (TNT), Rush (USA) and The Leftovers (HBO).
No, not at all. It's a community run project so all input is helpful.
We'll be create a new spreadsheet shortly once the upfronts have finished and we'll removed all the shows that have been picked up/rejected so we start with a fresh list.
You have How I Met Your Dad as dropped, but according to TV.Com and IMDB, it's ordered to series. I don't care either way, not my cup of tea. http://www.imdb.com/news/ni57165505/?ref_=hm_nw_tp_t2
When it says "no" and is in red, does that mean it is over?? I am asking in regards to NBC's "Two To Go" ?? Does is have any chance anywhere or is it dead?
They are pretty much the same thing. Dead/Appears Dead is simply for ones where the network have made no mention of the show and we assume that it's dead. Passed on and No are effectively the same. Some networks say they have passed on a show and some say they have not picked it up.
Pushed means that the show won't appear as a show in the upcoming season. The networks will take another look at the show for the following season.
Not sure if there will be any answer for this, but is there any sign of what's going on with FX's Hoke? I'm really looking forward to it/hoping it will be picked up, but there hasn't seemed to be any mention of it positively or negatively during upfronts? Or does FX follow its own schedule for announcing shows?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Hoping Wonderland gets picked up!!!!
ReplyDeleteWonder woman on CW
ReplyDelete@Soso Kuratishvili Wonderwoman/Amazon is not yet a pilot. It's just a script order for now. This table is only for shows ordered to pilot.
ReplyDeleteWhat about AMC's Area 51...?
ReplyDeleteSo it's the same with AMC's Area 51, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYes, this only shows projects ordered to pilot
ReplyDeleteUse the "Development Watch" in the menu to see status of other projects.
ReplyDeletethis is a pretty good feature. i am interested in 'second sight', 'whitey', 'powers', 'hr', 'wonderland', 'murder in the first' and 'rewind'. looking forward to more pilots as the year progresses
ReplyDeleteThanks @Jonathan_Andre Yep, hopefully we'll start getting more info during the year. I'm still waiting for the next "LOST" :)
ReplyDeleteClassic Wow! I have never seen it and I didn't know that there are so many shows under development... Thank you soooo much for this!
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I am surprised that they haven't created any Lost spin-off, remake or continuation yet.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to more news on 'The Vatican.' Would love to see Kyle Chandler back on the tube in a quality series.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Beverly Hills Cop? The show remained alive according to the producers.
ReplyDelete@Boone the last update we had officially from CBS was they had passed on the project. If it gets picked up by another network then we'll add it in.
ReplyDeleteYes, you're quite right. I've updated the table. Thank you
ReplyDeleteNo problem. Happy to help.
ReplyDeleteOk thanks. and what about "Anatomy of Violence" on CBS ? Any news about that?
ReplyDeleteIt was passed on by CBS back in May
ReplyDeleteThanks.
ReplyDeleteNothing too exciting on the premium pay channels.
ReplyDeleteDO THEY PICK THEM UP BEFORE A CERTAIN DATE?
ReplyDeleteThere is no set date but they tend to announce around the time of the upfront presentations. Some get picked up before and some after
ReplyDeleteOK COOL
ReplyDeleteThe upfronts are in May of each year, if you didn't know
ReplyDeleteSPN awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure about the others, I'll give some a chance.
I *really* want A&E to give a series order to "Occult" - preferably with a name change. And I'd love to see The League of Extraordinary Gentlement on FOX.

ReplyDeleteWhere is Arrow's spin off backdoor pilot about Flash?
ReplyDeleteThe Strain and Rewind sound interesting.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be good to add what has changed since the last update, instead of just the date. What has been added, has been pushed, has been picked up and such.
ReplyDeleteCan I have a link to the full spreadsheet?
ReplyDeleteThey sure start early. Nothing sticks out for me yet like most of the fall 2013 shows did. I'm curious about the SPN spin off tho
ReplyDeleteI hope the 50 Cent comedy doesn't make it to air. I don't want a show from a guy who said gay men should kill themselves and make the world a better place to air on the Sunday night animation block I've been watching for years and years.

ReplyDeleteUPDATE 28th AUGUST 2013
ReplyDeleteNew Pilots: NBC = Marry Me & Outbreak | Syfy = 12 Monkeys | USA = Untitled Sean Jablonski Drama
Picked Up: None
Dropped: None
Long Term Future Development/Pushed: None
Thanks for the update summary. Very helpful.
ReplyDeleteI'll be doing them from now on, hope you don't mind. :P
ReplyDeleteNo, not at all. It's very helpful.
ReplyDeleteIf you wanted to help update the spreadsheet itself as well, just drop me an email. The more people we have to update it, the more accurate we can make it ;)
Nah, I'll leave that to you guys. I would probably just mess it up. :D
ReplyDeleteHa, no worries ;)
ReplyDeleteI can't see the spreadsheet, just blank space ... anything that I should do to get to see it?
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteWhat browser and version are you using? Do you have any extensions/addons installed that might be blocking it.
I have a Mac. I use Firefox (23.0.1). I Have addons (downloadhelper, mediahint) but none that should block the spreadsheet to be seen.
ReplyDeleteCan you try pressing CTRL-F5 or whatever the MAC equivilant is to force a full re-fresh of the page and see if that loads.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't work, but I can't see the spreadsheet in the "Development watch" page.
ReplyDeleteAh, try clearing your Cookies and Cache. I seem to recall that fixed it for another person with Firefox who had a similar issue.
ReplyDeleteIt did work, thank you very much
ReplyDeleteAh awesome :)
ReplyDeleteI'll probably watch the CW spin offs, Wonderland sounds really good
ReplyDeleteWasn't Outlander already picked up? STARZ already has an official webpage for it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, yes you're right. I've just updated it.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
My Uncle Alexander just got a very cool Saab just by some
ReplyDeletepart time working online with a cheap laptop... image source www.JAM20.com
I hope Westworld, The Affair, and Open get picked up. I desperately miss the FRINGE team!!!
ReplyDeletewhat about all the New Star Wars Stuff we keep hearing about on tv you know who ever gets that series is in for nice ratings from nerds and geeks. Including Me!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteread friday that NBC might be doing 2 time travel shows BRING BACK QUANTUM LEAP FOR A MINI SERIES and end the show right for fans......
ReplyDeleteI heard The CW was developing a show called "Red". What's up with it?
ReplyDeleteIt has been put in development but The CW has yet to order a pilot.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your work, and for the update :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat about that show with the army ship and the doctor? The Last Ship I think it is called. When is that coming out? or did it even get picked up?
ReplyDeleteAlready been ordered to Series last year :)
ReplyDeleteReally?! Yay, Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteSyfy - Dominion
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2013/09/dominion-syfy-adds-cast-to-pilot-press.html
Thanks, updated.
ReplyDeleteFox - The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2013/07/league-of-extraordinary-gentlemen-pilot.html
Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThat a put pilot, not a pilot order.
ReplyDeleteWestworld is based on the Movies of the same name. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070909/ It's a shame that the networks are trolling for plots from the 60s and 70s rather than coming up with something new!
ReplyDeleteSo does it mean that shows ordered to pilot already have their script done?
ReplyDeleteNormally yes
ReplyDeleteThe Flash :D
ReplyDeleteIf a show is ordered to pilot it doesn't mean that it's been picked up right?
ReplyDeleteThat's correct. The ones in Green are Picked up
ReplyDeletesome thoughts:

It was announced that there will no longer be a back door pilot but a regular pilot instead.

ReplyDelete@Leonardo Cruz It's not an image but an embedded spreadsheet.

Clear your browsers cookies, then refresh the page and you should be able to see it.

ReplyDeleteWhatever happened to Atlanta the Donald Glover show?
ReplyDeleteAs I heard Mark P. from the Cw yesterday announced that they dropped amazon.
ReplyDeleteHi @Spindae2 I don't think it was ever a pilot? It's not in the above spreadsheet as far as I can see
ReplyDeleteSorry I thought this was the development post. Sorry :)))
ReplyDeleteHa, no problem
ReplyDeleteI sure consider this to be news. Not sure if you're tracking new Netflix pilots, but Kyle Chandler signed onto one from the creators of Damages: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/kyle-chandler-star-netflix-drama-671718
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info @DolphinGirl . We don't currently track Netflix although I think it's something we might add for next year.
ReplyDeletedarkfall is based on kate daniels series?
ReplyDeleteNot sure. The only info we have is posted in the spreadsheet. That's about all that's known so far.
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to Wild Blue.

ReplyDeleteWhat about the tv show 'the last ship'? Was that picked up?
ReplyDeleteThat was ordered to series last year by TNT
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Thanks! Has TNT released a premiere date yet?
ReplyDeleteNot yet.
ReplyDeleteYou can see all known episode info for all shows and all episodes in the Episode Database.
http://stvplus.com/show/316/The-Last-Ship#episodes
You can see all information we have on the show via the TNT menu at the top of the screen or via the The Last Ship Label

The CW orders it's pilots later than other networks. The are expected to order some pretty soon.
ReplyDeleteIs Badlands the supernatural spinoff? because that sounds like the synopsis you are giving.
ReplyDeletethey scrapped the pilot now anyway :)
ReplyDeleteprobably but I doubt they have a title for that already, Pedowitz said last week that he'd have the script for the backdoor pilot this week.
ReplyDeleteSea of Fire has to be my favourite. I also really like Red Band Society, How To Get Away With Murder and Coercion, although for some reason I'm afraid if Coercion gets picked up it will turn into another Hostages. :/
ReplyDeleteWhat about the Jerry Bruckheimer Navy Seal Tv show?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2011/08/jerry-bruckheimer-to-bring-navy-seals.html
Assumed dead as there has been no update on it since August 2011.
ReplyDeleteWhen this page will be updated again? There's a lot of new pilot orders and I always follow this page.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
The actual table is constantly updated. We update the actual article text every 1-2 weeks but the table should up to date.
ReplyDeleteWhat ones are missing?
The table doesn't appearing in my browswer, but when I open Developer Tools the iframe is there and I can open externaly using the link.
ReplyDeleteDid you try the troubleshooting help linked in the post. That should fix most issues.
ReplyDeleteAdBlock desactivated for this site, Thanks. ;)
ReplyDeleteAh cool. Glad it's working.
ReplyDeleteAGENT X
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!
ReplyDeleteUgh, I really need to start doing the updates more regularly. I keep forgetting about them, I'll do one tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteUpdate what?
ReplyDeleteHa lol
ReplyDeleteIs there any chance that CW will order more pilots?
ReplyDeleteUnlikely at this point. It is surprising that they only ordered 6 pilots this year.
ReplyDelete'Supernatural: Badlands'
ReplyDeleteIsn't it 'Supernatural: Bloodlines'?
Thanks, fixed everything that needed fixing.
ReplyDeleteSo Dorothy must die is officially dead or are they waiting for the book release?
ReplyDeleteIt was never ordered to Pilot stage.
ReplyDeleteWow can't believe the Scorsese/Winters/Jagger Rock'N Roll Drama was dropped! It was starting to have an interesting cast. I was so happy for Bobby Cannavale and Olivia Wild :( Oh well thanks for the updates.
ReplyDeleteOmg, my bad. I put it in the wrong category. It was meant to be in "New Pilots".
ReplyDeleteOh! Ha no problem! I was just surprised, because it seemed like something that they wouldn't pass up unless the Pilot was bad! Thanks for letting me know though! :D
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody know if David Anders' villain is only for the pilot movie of IZombie, or is he supposed to be a regular character? Just wondering because procedurals don't normally have a recurring badguy.
ReplyDeleteI think recurring.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.deadline.com/2014/02/izombie-cw-malcolm-goodwin-alex-krosney-david-anders-star/
ReplyDeleteDeadline refers to him as the shows bad guy.
ReplyDeleteI'm the one who compiles the update summaries at the beginning of the post.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I gave this a major update, so it would take too much time for you to update.
ReplyDeleteStill in development as per the spreadsheet
ReplyDeleteI read somewhere else that Ex-Men is the title that the picked up We Are Men used to have. Is the Ex-Men on this list a different show, did it getting picked up under another name get overlooked, or was the site where I read about the name change wrong?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the list, it's always helpful!
ReplyDeleteIf I may, I think you can safely remove the following shows (all are on the air / have already aired): The Black Box (ABC), Turn (AMC), Looking (HBO), Silicon Valley (HBO), Faking It (MTV).
Premiere dates for these shows have been announced so you might want to remove them too: Outlander (Starz), Dominion (Syfy), Murder in the First (TNT), Rush (USA) and The Leftovers (HBO).
Hope you don't mind me intruding :)
We will remove those shows when we post the new pilot watch chart for 2015.
ReplyDeleteAnd no, we don't mind :)
No, not at all. It's a community run project so all input is helpful.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be create a new spreadsheet shortly once the upfronts have finished and we'll removed all the shows that have been picked up/rejected so we start with a fresh list.
Any word on Wayward Pines (FOX)?
ReplyDeleteIt's already been ordered a while ago.
ReplyDeleteYou can see all the articles on it via the FOX menu at the top of the site.
You have How I Met Your Dad as dropped, but according to TV.Com and IMDB, it's ordered to series. I don't care either way, not my cup of tea.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.imdb.com/news/ni57165505/?ref_=hm_nw_tp_t2
Thanks, both those sites are out of date. CBS passed on it last night

Is FX's Powers dead or just moved to Playstation?
ReplyDeleteCBS passed on it, but now 10th Century FOX in negotiations to make it work.
ReplyDeleteIt is dead on FX but Playstation picked it up.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Clementine and Sea of Fire get picked up during 2015-2016 season.
ReplyDeleteGaffigan hasn't been dropped.
ReplyDeleteCBS is waiting to make a decision after the Upfronts
When it says "no" and is in red, does that mean it is over?? I am asking in regards to NBC's "Two To Go" ?? Does is have any chance anywhere or is it dead?
ReplyDeleteYep, pretty much. Although it has happened in the past, it's historically very unlikely that another network will pick on a failed show.
ReplyDeleteoh ok..... what is the difference between the one's that say "No" vs "Passed on" or "Dead"
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty much the same thing. Dead/Appears Dead is simply for ones where the network have made no mention of the show and we assume that it's dead. Passed on and No are effectively the same. Some networks say they have passed on a show and some say they have not picked it up.
ReplyDeletePushed means that the show won't appear as a show in the upcoming season.
ReplyDeleteNot heard any news yet.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Agatha from ABC?
ReplyDeleteI don't think that was picked up.
