The one I would most like to see a wrap up movie for would be Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. I am not at all bothered by any of the choices in the poll though.
Apart from Veronica Mars (which is already getting a movie), there are others that I wished weren't cancelled/made into a TV movie- Alphas, Eureka, Kyle XY, Terminator: TSCC, Ringer, Chuck (even though that 'ended', there were still some aspects that were unresolved'...), October Road, Terra Nova, Journeyman, Awake, Breakout Kings, Fairly Legal, Common Law, Tru Calling, Underemployed
I think Smallville and Life Unexpected shouldn't be included here because they ended pretty well to me, especially Smallville. Anyway, I'd go for Kyle XY and Jericho.
Sorry, but reeeeeally bad choices on this poll. Half of those concluded and wrapped their plots nicely, and several canceled shows that fans have clamored for conclusion are absent.
The O.C. and Smallville got a series finale and they had time to prepare for it. Gilmore Girls and The Secret Circle was suddenly canceled and since TSC got only one season, you wouldn't get satisfied by one movie because in my opinion, you're not that much invested. Gilmore Girls on the other hand, got seven seasons, that long to have fans invested. I don't watch Roswell, so GG got my vote.
Can't hardly wait for the Veronica Mars movie next year, but the ones on your list I would like to see are Breakout Kings, Fairly Legal, TSCC and Kyle XY.
The one from the poll is Roswell, one of only 3 shows that hooked me with the pilot.
As much as I wanted to like Secret Circle, the characters were not interesting to me and I never could get invested in what happened to them, so a movie would be a save money for me. Smallville had a nice ending and the only other one on the list I watched and would love an ending is Roswell.
I watched Gilmore Girls and I don't remember it being suddenly cancelled. I remember knowing at the middle of the season already that it'd be the last and I wasn't an avid fan at the time.
I wish there was an "other" option in this poll because I would've chosen Angel. One of my favorite shows that ended badly, and I still wish to know more about what happened to these characters. From the available list, I'll have to choose GG..
Ghost Whisperer, Tru Calling, Ringer, Point Pleasant, Caprica(no loose ends but it'll be awesome to have more of it). Honestly, what's with the lame shows in the poll and no "Other" option?
Off the top of my head I can think of half a dozen series that were cancelled before their time and did not have lengthy runs like a number of the shows in the poll...
I only watched two of these shows and to me, Smallville wrapped up nicely. Gilmore Girls: not so much. A movie is needed. Also in need of a movie: State of Grace and Hellcats. And other shows that I can't think of at 6:30 in the morning.
I didn't think Smallville was canceled, I thought it was on 10 years and they just decided to wrap it up...
But nevertheless, I chose Gilmore Girls because the ending we got was lame. Also, for the shows that have been preemptively canceled I say Warehouse 13.
I've seen every show in this list and realistically the majority wrapped up as neat possible. There could always be more story but the ones already told were concluded. Only TSC really ended wonky, and Gilmore Girls was rushed and ambiguous. So I voted Gilmore.
it's a toss up between Gilmore Girls and Secret Circle for me. Secret Circle got so good towards the end but no one was watching at that point and then Gilmore Girls was so anti-climatic that I remember my mom turning to me and saying, 'That's it? That's not fair!' There was a little more story to tell...
Almost all of these shows were given proper endings as the weren't canceled but ended on their own terms. I would've liked to see more of The Secret Circle as it did end on a huge cliffhanger but that isn't one of the shows I'm most itching to see more of. Dark Angel and The Sarah Connor Chronicles get my vote.
Roswell was on one of the stations that came before the merge, I forget which one... but yeah basically... I loved Jericho, fought for Jericho got it back and then it got cancelled again and Life was brilliant but tbh it got lost in the shuffle for me.
I thought I was the only person who still mourned the lost of Hellcats, I still say it was one the biggest missteps, It was the only show that actually retained and got a few more viewers from being paired with ANTM. It really could have been the CW's version of Glee. I remember whatever song they song was ALWAYS charting on amazon.com the next morning...
I think Heroes did so well was because they gave answers quickly it was kind of like the anti-Lost ( I sort of remember it being billed on a few sites as such) but I also think that's what ended up killing the show that and Tim Kring being to afraid to make the deaths permanent is what really irritated me. Well, except for the one guy who knew from the beginning that it wasn't a permanent gig.
Mid to late season sevenn, Alexsis and Lauren wanted out but WB was trying to get a short eighth & final season but only a couple weeks before the finale aired(after the finale was written and filmed), the shows cancelled due to WB and Lauren,Alexsis not being able to come to an agreement about a short eighth season.
Well, comic books/graphic novels have gotten so much better in the last 6 years especially when they're for TV show show tie-ins/wrap but I haven't had time in all these years to be bothered but I did cheat and read the fan wiki to get the gist of it, I highly recommend that option.
Yeah,i fought for it too, that writers strike just killed the show.Even when it came bak it felt like the actors had already moved on,the feel of the show just wasn't the same...Its a shame too,if it wasn't interrupted i think we would have seen at least another 4 or 5 years (seasons) of it...
Gilmore girls - Even Lauren Graham spoke about ASP needing to end the story which she had no control of towards the end and wasn't what the original vision was.
Hmmm, I didn't watch the rest (although I caught a few episodes of Gilmore Girls and Smallville), but I don't see the need for an O.C. movie. They must have given the writers proper notice about the cancellation because the show was wrapped up well enough in the finale.
As people noted, the best thing would have been for Hiro to go back in time and change the past so everything past Season 1 never happened. (To be fair, I liked the second half of Season 3, Fugitives, until they mucked everything up in the last few episodes... but on the whole, the show was definitely a mess after the first season.)
Out of all those shows I would pick Gilmore Girls. They never knew beforehand if the last episode was the series or season finale so they had to keep it open ended. I don't think they were able to end the show they way they had intended all along. I would love a movie to wrap up the show. Not sure why The O.C. and Smallville are an option since they knew ahead when it was the last season for their shows to wrap it up properly. Also Smallville has a comic book series as a "season 11" on top of it. What loose ends are you talking about?
Deserves is too strong a word IMO.... I say the only one of the options that might "deserve" a tie lose ends thing would be TSC, maybe Roswell. The others pretty much kinda got closure.
Now Gilmore Girls I maybe, might like a tie up movie to make up for the S7 crappyness, but I wouldn't say it "deserves" it.
I agree. Smallville wasn't 'cancelled.' It kind of bugs me when shows that were given a final season are being referred to as 'cancelled' by others. It's not always like that. And I'm gonna agree with Warehouse 13 too! I know they'll wrap it up properly with the 6-episode final season, but it's one of those shows that could just go on forever lol.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I say none of the above, and how about Southland??? A proper send off would be nice.
ReplyDeleteYoung Justice and Star Wars the Clone Wars
ReplyDeleteThe one I would most like to see a wrap up movie for would be Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles. I am not at all bothered by any of the choices in the poll though.
ReplyDeleteCarnivale
ReplyDeletewhere's 'other' in the poll?

None of them ! For me it´s legend of the seeker !! It was an awesome show

Maybe Gilmore Girls, but if I won on the lottery I'd rather support Carnivale or Stargate Universe.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I wanted to like Secret Circle, the characters were not interesting to me and I never could get invested in what happened to them, so a movie would be a save money for me. Smallville had a nice ending and the only other one on the list I watched and would love an ending is Roswell.
ReplyDeleteI love Roswell, but i would like a life unexpected and secret circle movie too.
ReplyDeleteI watched Gilmore Girls and I don't remember it being suddenly cancelled. I remember knowing at the middle of the season already that it'd be the last and I wasn't an avid fan at the time.

I still think Heroes deserves a proper ending
ReplyDeleteGhost Whisperer, Tru Calling, Ringer, Point Pleasant, Caprica(no loose ends but it'll be awesome to have more of it). Honestly, what's with the lame shows in the poll and no "Other" option?
ReplyDeletenone of them, they're TV shows not having all the lose ends tied up is hardly going to kill you. Some people really need to get life.
ReplyDeleteunderemployed was cancelled? awww man. i liked that show. also yes to TSCC and Roswell.
ReplyDeleteI wish that Young Justice had a more complete ending. There is a fundraiser for it at smgo.tv, but I don't think that it will get enough. Who knows.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to see the world's reactions to people with abilities.
ReplyDeleteexactly I hope the rumors are true that microsoft might bring it back
ReplyDeleteIf there was and "Other" option, I would gave said "Heroes".
ReplyDeleteThey are including all new characters, so it's actually a reboot.
ReplyDeletethey said that the original characters will have cameos
ReplyDeletetru calling yes
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Carnivale
ReplyDeleteGilmore GIrls
ReplyDeleteI couldn't care less, even if they did. All I wanted was some closure, and I don't think the reboot will give us that.
ReplyDeleteTrue..
ReplyDeleteNone of the Above... Other.
ReplyDeleteOff the top of my head I can think of half a dozen series that were cancelled before their time and did not have lengthy runs like a number of the shows in the poll...
Deadwood
Carnivale
Rome
The Hour
Life
The Fades
I think Heroes deserved a proper middle too, but that did not happen...
ReplyDeleteAgreed!
ReplyDeleteThey had already a wrap party before hearing it was canceled.
ReplyDeleteI only watched two of these shows and to me, Smallville wrapped up nicely. Gilmore Girls: not so much. A movie is needed. Also in need of a movie: State of Grace and Hellcats. And other shows that I can't think of at 6:30 in the morning.
ReplyDeleteWere these all CW shows? I would have to say Other- Jericho and Life.
ReplyDeletethey lost me when they killed derek for no reason
ReplyDeletei thought roswell had a pretty good ending
ReplyDeleteI didn't think Smallville was canceled, I thought it was on 10 years and they just decided to wrap it up...
ReplyDeleteBut nevertheless, I chose Gilmore Girls because the ending we got was lame. Also, for the shows that have been preemptively canceled I say Warehouse 13.

ReplyDeleteI would have voted for Heroes if it was in the list. But instead: Smallville, just because it's the only one I know XD.
ReplyDeleteit's a toss up between Gilmore Girls and Secret Circle for me. Secret Circle got so good towards the end but no one was watching at that point and then Gilmore Girls was so anti-climatic that I remember my mom turning to me and saying, 'That's it? ReplyDeleteThey have the comic books for season 11, it's a decent read if you love the Smallville universe, they have sales all the time on issues.
ReplyDeleteAlmost all of these shows were given proper endings as the weren't canceled but ended on their own terms. I would've liked to see more of The Secret Circle as it did end on a huge cliffhanger but that isn't one of the shows I'm most itching to see more of. ReplyDeleteto be honest it fell apart halfway through season 2
ReplyDeleteI know it's lame but they did have a comic book that kind of wrapped up things nicely, or so I hear
ReplyDeleteMe too.
ReplyDeleteThey advanced the character's powers too quickly and lost everything that made the series great.
I did think Season 4 was an improvement over the previous year and a half honestly, but still nowhere near as good as the first season.
Young Justice might get a full length animated movie one of these days but no time soon too much in the DCAU pipeline as of right now
ReplyDeleteI think it's only because they expected to use him in the next season as he was still alive in the future.
ReplyDeleteI think Heroes did so well was because they gave answers quickly it was kind of like the anti-Lost ( I sort of remember it being billed on a few sites as such) but I also think that's what ended up killing the show that and Tim Kring being to afraid to make the deaths permanent is what really irritated me. Well, except for the one guy who knew from the beginning that it wasn't a permanent gig.
ReplyDeleteI just wanted more. ;)
ReplyDeleteI wish there was a other choice so I could vote for Deadwood.
ReplyDeleteThis. I thought I was the only person who somewhat enjoyed season 4 and thought it was an improvement.
ReplyDeleteMid to late season sevenn, Alexsis and Lauren wanted out but WB was trying to get a short eighth & final season but only a couple weeks before the finale aired(after the finale was written and filmed), the shows cancelled due to WB and Lauren,Alexsis not being able to come to an agreement about a short eighth season.
ReplyDeleteNone of them :) I would say Legend of the Seeker and Dark Angel!!
ReplyDeleteFringe MUST be there! :(
ReplyDeleteSorry noone liked the choices but id have to pick Gilmore girls and The secret circle.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Did you read it? I wonder how it ended but I don't read comic books.
ReplyDeleteWell, comic books/graphic novels have gotten so much better in the last 6 years especially when they're for TV show show tie-ins/wrap but I haven't had time in all these years to be bothered but I did cheat and read the fan wiki to get the gist of it, I highly recommend that option.

ReplyDeletegotta go with none of the above
ReplyDeleteTerminator: TSCC was awesome. and Kyle XY what a damning cliffhanger!!
ReplyDeleteJericho and Kyle XY
ReplyDeleteGilmore girls - Even Lauren Graham spoke about ASP needing to end the story which she had no control of towards the end and wasn't what the original vision was.

None of them but KYLE XY!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI do read them, but I can't buy the books since I'm french and I can't find it anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI have to choose one of these...? Hmm... The O.C maybe?

The Secret Circle. Its ending was disappointing...
ReplyDeletenone of the above
ReplyDelete/cosign... especially Sci-Fi shows - there's been a ton in the last 5 years without good resolutions.
