probably either dramedy (psych, hart of dixie, parenthood, oth, being erica etc.) or action/adventure (revolution, terra nova, defiance, eureka, chuck, kyle xy etc). also love sci fi, drama, crime shows like castle, monk, mentalist, sherlock and person of interest, as well as fantasy (OUAT).
Other. All of above equally. Currently I like Grimm (sci-fi procedural), The Good Wife (legal), horror (American Horror Story), comedy (The Big Bang Theory, Parks and Rec), crime (Elementary), drama (Breaking Bad) . I'm currently less interested in medical than I used to be.
Not necessarily. Depends on how it's viewed. I see horror as something scary and supernatural as a genre about werewolves, ghosts, etc. and not necessarily scary. (Ex. shows that have vampires and other supernatural beings as leads).
But werewolves ghosts and vampires all have horror elements to them. I never considered the Twilight movies to be horror films but Fangoria covered every single one of them because thuggery had vampires and werewolves in them.
I don't know I'll give anything a go. I mean I do like my comedies and dramas and dramedies. Medical shows done right get really get me involved (House will now be one of my favourite shows ever. can still so easilly watch ER, and that I could tune back in for that finale and still cry like a baby...). I can sit through a regular cop procedural no problem (I mean I won't make it a point to tune in week in week out- unless it's the mentalist of Castle- but if they're on sure I'll watch).
However, when it comes down to it, I am a nerd at heart so I think I have an affinity for more Fantasy/Supernatural/SciFi/Thriller/action stuff.
I watch a variety of shows. However, I guess you can say that crime is my favorite genre since many of my favorite shows (Castle, NCIS, The Mentalist, Bones, CSI, CSI: NY, and I guess also Law & Order: SVU) are considered crime shows.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeletefantasy/sci fi/supernatural but since you can only vote for one, supernatural
ReplyDeleteToss up between supernatural and sci fi for me, depending on the current shows.
