I love the way that Dean refers to the man as padre and father and then throws in stuff like "black eyed b*tch" in the very same sentence. And also: love the way he's finally putting his fate in his little brother. ♥
Oh they better not be talking about the priest from Houses of the Holy! I loved that priest, if Crowley killed him.... lets be real though, he probably did....
I could see that happening since Crowley's digging into the boys' pasts on the HOTH's priest made a strong impression on both of them. Or this priest could be talking about "a pries" who was ripped to shreds by a demon (my best guess is it's Abaddon) while performing the exorcism that was presumably on the film the boys and Cas found in the bunker. The timing would be approximately right for the demon to be Abaddon (or less likely another Knight of Hell demon) who "escaped" and later possessed Josie.
He was also on the show in the first season, Wendigo. Weird that he's playing another character here since a character from that episode will be in this one.
Is it possible it's the same character? I don't remember that episode very well. Should probably do a rewatch at some point, been ages since I rewatched supernatural.
They have recycled so many characters this year that it hardly phases me now. After Sam didn't remark how alike Benny looked to the vampire who kidnapped him a few years before, I gave up.
It doesn't phase me either, but I was just trying to remember if this is the first time they have two actors back from the same episode, one playing an old character, one playing a new one.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Aw, poor Sam.
ReplyDeleteAnd LOL at the priest.
And aww, Protective Big Brother!Dean confident in Sam is the best.
I love everything about this.
Love the clip, but is that squishy sound effect when the blood comes out really necessary? lol
ReplyDeleteWTH O______O My Sammy :'(
ReplyDeleteI totally agree.
ReplyDeleteI love the faith he has in Sam. These brothers are going to be the death of me, lol.

ReplyDeleteDean believes in Sammy.

ReplyDeleteSomeone get Dean a beer. After that speech, he earned it.
ReplyDeleteAnd get me 10. I'm going to need them to make it through this episode.
ReplyDeleteWould you settle for 4? You'd make it through the episode with 10 but the downside is that you wouldn't remember it.
ReplyDeleteI'll pace myself...
ReplyDeletePadre is Dutch from Soap!!
ReplyDeleteDean believing in his brother is priceless.... Poor Sammy I thought he was better :'(
ReplyDeletemmmm.... a church with a bathroom??? I've never seen it.... maybe is the rectory

ReplyDeleteI think Wendigo dealt with Park Rangers and Police.
ReplyDeleteHe played the man who was clawed by the wendigo when he was a kid. It is possible that he became a priest in the intervening years.

ReplyDeleteEvery church I have ever been in had a bathroom. I don't find that odd.
