You can see how our readers did last year here. Lets see if we can beat last years 80% success rate.
We'll keep this chart updated so we can track progress and see how well you all did.
NOTE: Remember these were PREDICTIONS made BEFORE the upcoming 2013/2014 TV Season and BEFORE ANY Episodes had aired.
Same. Networks can't get rid of all those new shows! Then again, I thought there was no way NBC was going to cancel all their comedy shows and they did just that (minus Community and Parks and Rec).
I'm still a bit surprised that the majority of people think Bones will get a 10th season. Don't get me wrong, I want it to do well, but I'm going into next season thinking it will be its last. That way if it does end up being its last, hopefully, I won't be as sad when they announce it, but if it does get the 10th I will be pleasantly surprised.
These lists seem way off, not going by personal preferences. There are a lot of shows which are on the wrong lists going by the results of polls that have been on this site and other tv sites about which shows people are most excited for. For one example of renewd sleepy hollow, i'm excited for it but most people seem to think it will be canceled. For canceled a bunch like mind games, ironside and super fun night people seem to be loving, not me again.
Personally i'm rooting of 100,tomorrow people, believe, crisis and sleepy hollow. In my opinion not to many good shows this pilot season.
I mostly looked the renewed/canceled ones on this site and in the comments, at the which shows are you most excited and will you watch this show polls about on tv.com and the polls and comments on inside tv which new shows will you watch.
This is way too fan-driven... No one here was impartial... Sorry for the fans(Who i beg not trash me... Sorry!), but i can't see a way in wich a show like Revolution or Beauty & The Beast could possibly get a third Season...
I believe there's way too many shows right now... People just can't have the time to watch 'em all... Almost none of the old (new) Shows got renewed for a Second Season... Hell! Even Community got better ratings that all brand new comedies! I believe that next Season, new shows will continue to get those awefull ratings and the shows with Syndication Deals(That can benefit with more episodes and can be sustained with kind of bad ratings... Like Community, a show that makes money out of deals, not of ratings... Syndication is were the real good money is, more episodes, more expensive renewing the deals) will have the lead...
Elementary, a show i love, in it's first Season pulled 2.0s... And all new shows did that standars... New shows back in the days pulled +3.0s... That's not good, a show like Castle(With 5 years, the audience start to go, as natural, and it's weird new people to get on the ship) has better ratings that Revolution, a brand new show, with great names like Kripke, Favreau and Abrams...
This is the same as we've done for the last 2 years. First year we got 73% correct and last year 80%. We'll see at the end of season how accurate it was this year
It's funny because so many people cannot see beyond their own opinions about the new shows. The fact is that most people do not have to like a new show for it to be renewed. Hell, everyone I know can hate a show and it can still be renewed.
If this site's majority opinions ran the networks there would be few crime procedurals on TV, a majority Sci-Fi/ Fantasy shows and no CBS comedies! XD
i know its not a good practice but for the past two years I will not watch a new show.. When I did it got cancelled, so now if I think I will like it I record it, and then if it makes the full season and is renewed I will watch all and catch up. I did this with Elementary and do not regret it at all. Fantastic show, But to be invested and have the rug pulled just sucks.
On the contrary, it has the option of being renewed just like a regular series, but it will stay at the 12-episode format. Sorry to bust your bubble, there, but that's the fact.
You have put The Neighbours in bold in the predicted to be cancelled column (there should be two existing shows in that list - the Carrie Diaries and The Neighbours)
Hi @Nawaf Karmustaji. There is not photo as such, it's an embedded spreadsheet.
If you can't see the spreadsheet it's normally due to a corrupt cookie in your browser. Try deleting your cookies and then try loading the page again. Let us know how you get on.
That's what I do (SHIELD is the only exception). The last time I broke my rule it was Terra Nova and we all know how that ended... I only started watching Arrow when it was renewed.
-Mom is still in the mix (bubble) -T100 hasnt aired yet but it has a decent lead-in in Arrow (bubble) -Super Fun Night is effectively already cancelled -Ressurection hasnt aired yet but I'd guess at a likely cancellation -OUATIW is effectively already cancelled
Yep, the pilot year for ABC is just going to be like 2013.... But now that I know "Les Revenants" I don't really care anymore about Resurrection :) Super Fun Night, canceled? Oh I hadn't seen this information before your comment.. you sure?
i agree with BatB not getting renewed. It was a great show, but they made some mistakes this season that is usually made in season 1, but since its season 2 and they should have learned by now, dont piss off the fans because once you lose them, they rarely come back. especially since they ripped the couple apart.
Not going bad so far. Not long until other networks start to announce their obvious renewals, so there's gonna be a whole lot more green on there soon.
Why is Beauty and the Beast in the predicted to be renewed section? What intelligent human being thinks that show will get renewed with it's terrible ratings.
Predictions which I think will be incorrect: From predicted renewed: BATB, TTP, Believe, Dracula From cancellation predicted: About A Boy, The 100, Resurrection.
There is no "official announcement" from FOX, but it looks that way. Reilly said that he expects it to be the final season : http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/01/13/bones-10/
wow, there were many more misses than last year, but that's also because Community, Suburgatory and Almost Human should have been renewed! Cruelty from NBC, and a bad choice from both FOX and ABC
81.18% (see http://www.spoilertv.co.uk/images/cache/misc/Renewal%20Predictions%20Table%202012-13/predictions_FULL.png). Only by getting all five remaining predictions (all predicted cancellations) can last year's be beaten - it would give us a success rate of 81.25%.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Awesome! Wonder if we'll beat the 80% from this year or not.
ReplyDeleteI think it will be hard. I can't see all those new shows being cancelled and only 1 current show being cancelled.
ReplyDeleteStill it will be interesting to follow along :)
I can't imagine that many new shows getting the boot but well you never know!
ReplyDeleteSame. Networks can't get rid of all those new shows! Then again, I thought there was no way NBC was going to cancel all their comedy shows and they did just that (minus Community and Parks and Rec).
ReplyDeleteEspecially the new sitcoms!
ReplyDeleteEven if I will most likely not be watching most of them, I thought this was the best crop of sitcoms I have seen in years.
Only 12 new shows are suppose to make it?? No way are they going to cancel all those new shows.
ReplyDeleteI'm still a bit surprised that the majority of people think Bones will get a 10th season. Don't get me wrong, I want it to do well, but I'm going into next season thinking it will be its last. That way if it does end up being its last, hopefully, I won't be as sad when they announce it, but if it does get the 10th I will be pleasantly surprised.
ReplyDeleteThis seems a little iffy to me. There is no way that 37 new shows will be cancelled.
ReplyDeleteThese lists seem way off, not going by personal preferences. There are a lot of shows which are on the wrong lists going by the results of polls that have been on this site and other tv sites about which shows people are most excited for. ReplyDeletePersonally i'm rooting of 100,tomorrow people, believe, crisis and sleepy hollow. In my opinion not to many good shows this pilot season.
Not this site.
ReplyDeleteSleepy Hollow has 201 people voting for renewed, 81 people voted that it would be cancelled.
Which polls on this site are you looking at?
I mostly looked the renewed/canceled ones on this site and in the comments, at the which shows are you most excited and will you watch this show polls about on tv.com and the polls and comments on inside tv which new shows will you watch.

ReplyDeleteWe have like ZERO faith in the new shows....
ReplyDelete24 is only a 1 season limited series so it won't be renewed
ReplyDeleteGlee is already renewed for a season after next though, isnt it?
ReplyDeleteThere's gonna be a lot of red on the "Predicted to be Renewed".
ReplyDeleteA chance for CSI to return for season 15 ?
ReplyDeleteToo early to say. Check the Cancellation Predictor Table for the updated table

ReplyDeleteI cant see the picture? can someone please send it to me
ReplyDeleteThanks @04ikhan Should be fixed now
ReplyDeleteHi @Nawaf Karmustaji. There is not photo as such, it's an embedded spreadsheet.
ReplyDeleteIf you can't see the spreadsheet it's normally due to a corrupt cookie in your browser. Try deleting your cookies and then try loading the page again. Let us know how you get on.
The Simpsons should be marked as correct because it's been renewed
ReplyDeleteThanks Ben, fixed.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I do (SHIELD is the only exception). The last time I broke my rule it was Terra Nova and we all know how that ended...
ReplyDeleteI only started watching Arrow when it was renewed.
Time to update.
ReplyDeleteRenew Reign
ReplyDeleteGood, Very Good for The Mentalist !!!
ReplyDeleteThe Mentalist is predicted to be renewed?
ReplyDeleteThese are READER Predictions. Nothing to do with the actual ratings.
ReplyDeleteSee our Cancellation Table here for how your show(s) are predicted to do.
http://www.spoilertv.com/2013/09/spoilertv-cancellation-predictor-table.html
Got it. I was shocked because people and readers are/were sure it was not facing renewal. :)
ReplyDeleteloving the new format, by the way. I had just gotten used to reading and understanding the old format, now this one makes it much easier.
ReplyDeleteThanks Travis, remember this is the "Reader Predictions" and not the same as our official Cancellation/Renewal Table
ReplyDeletehttp://www.spoilertv.com/2013/09/spoilertv-cancellation-predictor-table.html
yea i noticed that. thats why i deleted my comment. felt like i made an ass of myself.
ReplyDeleteHa no worries :)
ReplyDeleteOh no -______-
ReplyDeleteMom'd better not be canceled!
I think The 100, Super Fun Night and Resurrection will make it.
It's fan driven because these are reader predictions... That's the point, n'est ce pas?
ReplyDelete-Mom is still in the mix (bubble)
ReplyDelete-T100 hasnt aired yet but it has a decent lead-in in Arrow (bubble)
-Super Fun Night is effectively already cancelled
-Ressurection hasnt aired yet but I'd guess at a likely cancellation
-OUATIW is effectively already cancelled
How come Us and Them is considered cancelled it didn't air yet?
ReplyDeleteThe network have already cancelled it.
ReplyDeleteYep, the pilot year for ABC is just going to be like 2013....
ReplyDeleteBut now that I know "Les Revenants" I don't really care anymore about Resurrection :)
Super Fun Night, canceled? Oh I hadn't seen this information before your comment.. you sure?
They halted the production after six episodes, but FOX does plan to air the episodes produced.
ReplyDeletei hold mu fingers for almost human
ReplyDeleteSo glad they were wrong about Reign!
ReplyDeleteA partial back order usually hints a cancellation.
ReplyDeleteSo we can already say good-bye to Resurection?
ReplyDeleteAs I said 2 weeks ago, since I know "Les revenants", I'm not that interesting anymore in Resurrection.
No. Resurrection is a midseason show, so it won't get a back order.
ReplyDeletei agree with BatB not getting renewed. It was a great show, but they made some mistakes this season that is usually made in season 1, but since its season 2 and they should have learned by now, dont piss off the fans because once you lose them, they rarely come back. especially since they ripped the couple apart.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the exact same thing.
ReplyDeletethat's nice
ReplyDeleteFor me Raising Hope was a sure cancellation, I guess not many people thought the same.
ReplyDeleteNot going bad so far. Not long until other networks start to announce their obvious renewals, so there's gonna be a whole lot more green on there soon.
ReplyDeleteThe Millers , The Goldbergs and Resurection will most likely be renewed.
ReplyDeleteprobably, yes.
ReplyDeleteYep, I think many fans of the show voted with their hearts and not their heads ;)
ReplyDeleteYep, I think we'll be seeing some red :)
ReplyDeleteWhy is Beauty and the Beast in the predicted to be renewed section? What intelligent human being thinks that show will get renewed with it's terrible ratings.
ReplyDeleteDid you read the huge red text?
ReplyDeletei hope you are wrong about the 100.
ReplyDeleteSave BEAUTY AND THE BEAST pleaseeeee
ReplyDeleteSo no confidence in the new shows huh?
ReplyDeleteWell there 14 new shows that people predicted would be renewed
ReplyDeleteYeah sorry I was actually foucusing on the ones comming out now like the 100, resurrection, star-crossed, about a boy, crisis etc.
ReplyDeleteAh cool
ReplyDeleteI see three of the shows you mentioned getting renewed.
ReplyDeletePredictions which I think will be incorrect:
ReplyDeleteFrom predicted renewed: BATB, TTP, Believe, Dracula
From cancellation predicted: About A Boy, The 100, Resurrection.
Can't say about the summer shows.
Yeah, I think most will do just fine but it got my atenttion that there wasn't much confidence in their success.
ReplyDeleteResurrection will be canceled? So sad :(
ReplyDeleteThat is what people thought before it aired. These are just PREDICTIONS.
ReplyDeleteCan you tell me if Bones will end after 10th season? Is there an official announcement about the "final season"?
ReplyDeleteThere has been no announcement
ReplyDeleteThere is no "official announcement" from FOX, but it looks that way. Reilly said that he expects it to be the final season : http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/01/13/bones-10/
ReplyDeleteSo they got Beauty and The Beast right... surprising, but good for them!
ReplyDeleteThe 100 ended up being renewed, which is great :D
Thank you, Babar ;)
ReplyDeletePity we weren't able to beat last year's score.
ReplyDeleteStill a few to go which might push the score up a little ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't think we'll set any record this season...
ReplyDeletewow, there were many more misses than last year, but that's also because Community, Suburgatory and Almost Human should have been renewed! Cruelty from NBC, and a bad choice from both FOX and ABC
ReplyDeleteAt exactly 80/%, what was the exact score for last year @DarkUFO ?
ReplyDelete81% last year I believe
ReplyDeleteIt says 80% in the post, hmm
ReplyDelete4 shows being pushed into summer kinda screwed it up.
There is a link to last years chart with the percentage listed. It was 81.18% last year.
ReplyDeleteWhen will you make a new table for 2014/2015 ?
ReplyDeleteNormally around June or July after we have run all the polls.
ReplyDelete81.18% (see http://www.spoilertv.co.uk/images/cache/misc/Renewal%20Predictions%20Table%202012-13/predictions_FULL.png). Only by getting all five remaining predictions (all predicted cancellations) can last year's be beaten - it would give us a success rate of 81.25%.
ReplyDeleteSo I went back and found some predictions I made about 3 weeks into the season. Out of the 92 I predicted, 29 of them were wrong.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you're still updating this, if so The Night Shift should be marked as being incorrectly guessed since it was renewed.
ReplyDelete
