Zap2it revealed a very interesting piece of information : the eigth and probable final season of Psych is going to be remaking an episode of a previous season !
I'm not watching Psych yet, it's one of those big shows * that keeps piling up on my "DVR" (you just can't watch 107 episodes in a couple of weeks, and it's not a priority, I already have my plate full), but that's a pretty darn cool idea which should be a huge amount of fun for the fans, full of references and winks to the audience.
Which episode would you like to see the remake of ? Would it be a controversial one ? One that had a lot of potential that didn't pay off ultimately ? One with a huge guest star ? One with a story that would work well within that "remake" comedic device ? I'm not a psychic (hey-oh!), so please tell us in the comments.
Remember, before season 8, which will probably consist of 13 episodes (5 new scripts having been ordered on top of the initial 8-episode order), arrives in 2014, a "two-hour" (90 minutes without commercials) musical special will air (as episodes 7.15/7.16) this fall. Until then, episodes 7.13 and 7.14 will air May 22 and 29.
As for the rest of USA Network's programming, they will lose Burn Notice in September and Psych might be over in a year from now, but they have new series coming up : Graceland starts on June 6, and half-hour comedies Sirens (from Denis Leary, about Chicago EMTs) and Playing House (from -and starring- Lennon Parham & Jessica St. Claire) will start after Modern Family reruns in January 2014.
