My mind is BEYOND blown. I mean REALLY?! What an incredible finale. I have to give it up to Shonda Rhimes once again, because as ALWAYS she delivers. Genius doesn't even begin to describe it. Bring on Season 3!
omg, this was bullshit! I feel cheated! And I didn't expect happy ending but this?! The Olitz is ruined like never before, I feel kinda embarrassed for their characters. It's like 2x20 never happened and they're just childish. The way they broke up and reasons why, kinda insult me. One big WTF?! And what's even worse is what they did to Fitząs character. So ridiculous and big downgrade. going back to Mellie like that, getting on his knees?! I was hoping she would just kick his ass. Mellie, you can do, well... better than this. Does she want the power so much that she allows to treat herself like this? So not here for all of this. And Rowan(is that his name?) being Liv's dad was predictable! I've thought and read about this theory since we first saw his character. There was something about the way he talked about "Olivia Pope". I'm just glad Olitz is exposed. The're gonna have to deal with this shit now. Just hope it won't be like "bad Liv seduced poor POTUS" in media. Also don't wanna see Liv all alone(only with gladiators) and Fitz with Mellie smiling like they are happy couple and their marriage was never really broken by Liv and those kind of things. Fitz better won't be pretedning that Liv was nothing.
Just wonder who exposed Olitz. First thought it was Liv's dad but his goal was to keep this thing quite so it doesn't make sense. So Mellie? She has Fitz and all she wanted, she's on top again so now wanna revenge on Liv? Does she want to destroy Olivia just because she can? Or she planned this before Fitz get back to her and didn't stop it? Or maybe was it Fitz? He did this just to mess things more and maybe get Liv back with this twisted way? Or destroy her because she rejected him? Sounds crazy but now I can expect everything. smh...
Fairtale don't exist such thing and Cyrus is right. Olivia and Fitz try to act like coupple, but this is not exist, because Fitz is a weak person and Cyrus always have control of everything.
i was Cyrus put them both their places, Liv chose her little gladiators over Fitz i was pleased about that but her father is a real bastard can't wait to find out what his story is and we haven't heard from him before.
I love this show, but the characters get more and more insane! I knew Fitz and Olivia wouldn't end up together, but I'm glad that it wasn't because of the Jake and Olivia tape (Olivia and Fitz weren't together when she was with Jake, so to me, there was nothing to forgive). That whole scene with Fitz casually assuming that Olivia probably wouldn't forgive him for murder was so absurd that I had to laugh. Also, Fitz crawling back to Mellie actually made me feel sorry for Mellie. Fitz really needs to let her go and have her own life. That relationship is just sad, for both of them. I also think that Mellie either leaked the info about Olivia and Fitz or ordered the hit on Olivia.
Quinn (a.k.a "baby Huck") finding her inner Dexter was chilling, and kudos to the actress Katie Lowes, who has come a long way since the first season. The scene stealer award once again goes to Cyrus.....From getting a heart attack, to threatening the people in the ambulance, to revealing to Olivia that Fitz murdered Verna, to trying to smash the Cytron card...Jeff Perry was brilliant. Hollis gets the award for funniest one-liners (in reference to Verna being "dead as a slab of bacon").
I liked how the David Rosen story was resolved. I'm guessing that he originally meant to bring Olivia down and then changed his mind at some point? I'm just glad he got his job back (and a promotion)....I like him more as a DA than as a gladiator. I'm also glad Jake turned out to be sort of good. I've always liked his character, and unlike a lot of people, I liked him for Olivia.
The "Dad" reveal was surprising, given that it appeared as though he was trying to kill her...perhaps he was trying to protect her (by using the Jake/Olivia tape to break up Olitz), and had nothing to do with the assassin? BTW did anyone get an "Alias" flashback when Olivia said "Dad?". It reminded me of the first season when Sydney Bristow came face to face with her long-lost/"dead" mother and the last word uttered in the season finale was "Mom?"
I agree with you, Cyrus, Jeff Perry was just fantastic this episode. And I also agree about Jake, I like his character. He still have a story to tell, so hopefully he will be back next season.
I know that everyone's going to be talking about that last scene (and, man, what an awesome scene) but for me, this episode was all about Quinn. What a transformation her character has made - and I freakin' love it. Even if Huck doesn't.
He didn't try to kill her. Remember, he said to Cyrus, "Bring her to me." I think the agent was going to her house to bring her to him, by force if necessary. When Jake came to her rescue, everything was escalated.
I don't know if he really wants her to go completely over to the dark side..
because he knows what it can and will do to her.. So.. I think he's trying to watch out for her.. but at the same time he's proud at what she's capable of doing..
The dorky Senator was a joke, never liked him. I like Scott Foley, always did. I´m not sure who I want Olivia to be with, but I feel like Jake´s story is not done and would love to know more about his character.
I think that her dad was more interested in her ending her relationship with the President because somebody was out to kill her for it. I'm excited that we'll finally learn more about Liv's past and background plus (hopefully) more of Harrison now that he'll have to head up the team to handle and fix Liv. Loved how Rosen's arc was resolved. And the last scene with the white hat showed how much he's come to appreciate her imo.
At this point, I have no idea how Fitz is even a credible person let alone the President. His 'I forgive you' line was ridiculous. I'm glad Liv put an end to it (and yes, I'm one of the few non-rabid ones who like them together, but also see that it's an impossible situation). And Cyrus took the words right out of my mouth with his 'life is not a romance novel' line. Seriously, how delusional is Fitz to think he would win a second term after divorcing his wife and the mother of his children to marry his mistress? As with all Shonda shows, the finale brings us back full circle the season opener with Fitz and Mellie together and Liv with her gladiators.
Question though, Billy Chambers took credit for the CIA director's murder but then wasn't it implied that it was Jake who did it? So Chambers hired B613? I like Jake for Olivia and I think she thought for a while there that it was something. The look on her face right before she asks him why he slept with her and her speech to Huck during his 7:52 phase applied to him (as well as Fitz imo).
Haha, I thought the same thing! Immediately had Alias flashbacks too!
yeah right.. with the way he treats his husband.. he totally gave him the beat down... telling him all that crap about him basically not being good enough to be out there... doing what he does... what a total ass hole
I was wondering if they would start developing more in Olivia's past in next season, and they just putted her father in the mix. This series is amazing...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Fitz is pathetic. Mellie shouldn't take his ass back.
ReplyDeleteAnd I had more to say but WHAT. WHAT.
DAD?!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJake's commanding officer is Olivia's DAD?! WHAT?! OH MY GOD!! This finale was insane!
ReplyDeleteMy mind is BEYOND blown. I mean REALLY?! What an incredible finale. I have to give it up to Shonda Rhimes once again, because as ALWAYS she delivers. Genius doesn't even begin to describe it. Bring on Season 3!

So why did Olivia's dad try to kill her today???
ReplyDeleteFitz is always a child, this why Cyrus control him so well, he is a weak person.
ReplyDeleteDAD? WTF?!!! This show is amazing! I already knew the fantasy of liv as the first lady wasn't going to happen but it's sad anyways
ReplyDeleteFairtale don't exist such thing and Cyrus is right. Olivia and Fitz try to act like coupple, but this is not exist, because Fitz is a weak person and Cyrus always have control of everything.
ReplyDeleteGreat finale, can't wait for season 3.

ReplyDeleteI did not expect the last word of the ep! Dad?
ReplyDeleteGreat finale. Cyrus in the ambulance was just a hoot. Quinn...turned scary but I have to admit I wasn't really surprised when she picked up the drill.
Interesting way to reset most of the characters.
DAD?!?!?!? DAD!!!! Seriously?!?
ReplyDeleteI mean seriously!!!!
Brilliant finale! Dad?? I did not see that coming.
ReplyDeleteLoved it!
Incredible! The Final didn't reach the huge adrenaline rush we got in season ones final, but it was still a very, very good episode.
ReplyDeleteVery curious about who outed Olivia and who ordered the hit on her (cause I can't believe it's her dad).
I love this show, but the characters get more and more insane! ReplyDeleteCyrus is really making me hate him with a vengeance..
ReplyDeletesomeone needs to put Cyrus in his place..

wow, talk about shipper alert
ReplyDeleteThe finale was good but becoming wearying.
ReplyDeleteok I see what your saying
ReplyDeleteTo break her up with Fitz... not released to the public. He wanted the relationship stopped, not exposed.
ReplyDeleteHave always felt Scott Foley was very under-rated as an actor and I do like Jake/Olivia way better than Fitz/Olivia (or that other dorky Senator).
ReplyDeleteThe dorky Senator was a joke, never liked him. I like Scott Foley, always did. I´m not sure who I want Olivia to be with, but I feel like Jake´s story is not done and would love to know more about his character.

I love Cyrus. He was right. He was the only adult in the room.
ReplyDeleteyeah right.. with the way he treats his husband.. he totally gave him the beat down... telling him all that crap about him basically not being good enough to be out there... doing what he does... what a total ass hole
