I'm sure there are a lot of people that will really like this episode. I'm not one of them. Overall the main plot points were there. Which really were only to get all of the players to Colorado and to provide exposition that there is more to the Tower than we understand: which is next to nothing to start with. Other than these plot points there was really not much point to pretty much the rest of the episode. Unless the producers plan on coming back to the possibility that Nora was brainwashed; I have a lot of trouble accepting that Nora endured interrogation and torture for twenty-one days. EVERYONE breaks and talks by the third day. So twenty-one days? Umm no. Not buying it. The writers used the twenty-one days to allow for Rachel and Aaron to walk to Colorado while suggesting that Nora might have been brainwashed and was the one committing the murders. But its lazy because they were as subtle as hammer by showing the blackouts and pointing to what's his face that interrogated her. We were supposed to think that Nora wasn't thinking straight and therefore the murderer. But it was a red herring because what's his name: Miles war buddy was the culprit all along. Surprise! Fooled us you did. Wow. But it was as effective as a deflated balloon because notice how I can't remember these people's names? That's how important they are to the show and how effectively they have influenced the viewer. In other words: they haven't. So what was the point of all that? To have Jason kill a guy for the first time? To throw some conflict between Romeo and Juliet? Oh and given that there NO OTHER FEMALE militia anywhere: how was Rachel able to just walk up to Monroe's tent completely unnoticed? Not the best episode.
I have no trouble remembering the characters names: Miles' war buddy who was the killer is Jim Hudson. I totally suspected he was the mole from last week's preview. He hasn't been in the last few episodes, and then he's in this episode? Dead giveaway. They tried the red herring, as you call it, but having Commander Ramsey in the episode as well, but he hasn't been a significant enough player for his betrayal to be any impact on the other characters. Besides, Jim told Miles back in the episode "Ghosts" that Miles had ruined his life, and his wife wanted nothing to do with him because of his secret past. He was the only one with any real motive.
And that wasn't the first time Jason has killed someone on the show. He killed the guy attempting to rape Charlie in the Pilot.
If you watched the Monroe Militia camp closely you'd have noticed that they made a point of having female militia at the camp. I noticed it because it was so out of the ordinary. Yes, it was completely done to allow Rachel access to Monroe, but name a show that doesn't pull the same stunt of inserting something out of the ordinary when they need it for some plot devise.
No, they wouldn't...at least not until the season cliffhanger!! I'm KIDDING, I'm KIDDING. I suspect Rachel will have more lives than a cat before the end of the series, whenever that may be!

(I hope this isn't a double post. I THOUGHT I posted this successfully, but it seems to have disappeared.)
Well that's one arrogant attitude...I'll have you know that I'M the arrogant one on this website and I'll not have you try to usurp my throne.
I'm sure that employing the intelligence of a third grader might be well beyond your "considerable" abilities, but if that mess is something you consider to be a high level then I really weep for the educational system you had to endure.
But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Standards are different everywhere. To you that might be a high level, but to people who actually read books that's quite abysmal.
Now before acting like an arrogant ass toward someone who truly is an arrogant ass, use whatever intelligence you may possess and learn how to get your point across without looking lazy. Because what you typed above was lazy as hell, and it's deeply disturbing that you don't see that.
Is not the best episode, just ok. I knew Jim is the mole, was to obvious and about Nora tortured for twenty-one days is hard even for her.
This episode don't have a good character development (except for Nora and the relationship between her and Miles), but I intrigue with the people who appears inside the Tower.
Rachel make stupid things again, I sure she is not dead, but maybe kill some milicia soldiers with the granade explosion.
Honestly, this episode wasn't as good as the previous ones.
I loved the opening montage of Nora's torture (not the torture itself, but the execution of the story), as I was afraid they'd be dragging her captivity for two or more episodes (a la Danny's storyline).
Overall, though, I was kind of bored with the "Whodunnit"/"Clue" storyline, as it's ben overdone on so many other shows. At least it wasn't Jason..
Good morning. Looks like I hit a nerve. Tsk, Tsk. You know for someone who wasn't going ready my post because of it's sentence structure, it sure looks like you read it thoroughly. Now are you going to comment on the actual substance of the post or are you going to keep stomping around about how threatened you feel?
You want me to read your post, but it doesn't seem like you actually read mine. I said I might read it if you could use those two extra seconds required to properly space your post. Calling my intelligence into question is very hilarious coming from you. It's a lot like a fat guy wearing a shirt that says "No fat chicks" on it.
As for hitting a nerve, you didn't even come close to getting on my nerves. If you had then my comment would have been a lot longer. You are amusing, that's as far as you get. My town had a little tornado weather last night and you were a distraction.
But now it's morning and the weather has passed and you're just sad. Acting like an ass on the internet because you can't be held accountable is just sad. So please, keep on replying. I really enjoy it when people respond like a jerk and then get defensive when someone calls them out on it.
Just recall that it was YOU who chose to respond and start this. If you didn't like how the post looked then you could have ignored it like the majority of civilization. So someone is acting like an ass here alright. A righteous, self important ass that likes to wag fingers at people when its not their place to.
I thought the episode was OK. I would have liked to see some flashbacks from when Miles and Nora met or something with Miles, Bass and Nora. Some background would have been nice.
Agreed! I had to rewind that scene several time because it's just so funny that she walks right in and says "Hey". and he's like "don't do anything rash". Really Monroe you forgot she stabbed someone with a screwdriver in your presence before? The grenade shouldn't be something out of the ordinary lol.
it just crossed my mind that maybe Monroe's waiting for her??? Obviously he knew Rachel is around somewhere but he just couldn't find her, and about his plan to the Tower, Randall couldn't open that door but Rachel may have her own way? It's possible that Monroe's well prepared for Rachel's coming:)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
They wouldn't kill off Elizabeth Mitchell would they? I hope not cause if they do I am going to be really mad!!

ReplyDeleteUse proper spacing to get rid of that wall of text and I might actually read it.

ReplyDeleteBest reunion ever was rachel and monroe. Grenades are cool!
ReplyDeleteThe best part was Rachel walking into Monroe's tent and flipping the pin out of the grenade.
ReplyDeleteTrue hahahahah

ReplyDeleteLol
ReplyDeleteThat probably is true, I dont think he was prepared for the grenade.
