But seriously, shouldn't Angela be getting some child support and alimony? She was married to a senator! But I love that Oscar decided to help her and they've become friends. And yay, she still loves Dwight!
And Jim, Pam, and Dwight's friendship is amazing. I wish they had shown more of it.I just loved everything about their scenes together tonight.
The Andy storyline was stupid and annoying, but I loved the "I Will Remember You" scene (Just wish my mom hadn't called during it).
One of the best episodes in some time! It captured alot of the charm, awkwardness, and humor from the early years, and this is the most I've liked Andy in 3 seasons... (awesome song btw).. Loved the Jim/Pam stuff and their friendship with Dwight (loved how he told Clark that Pam is really cool and that he feels that Jim would be a good manager, and that Jim endorsed Dwight for manager). The Angela/Dwight drama was a bit obvious, but well executed.... definitely one of the better eps of the season
Best part of the episodes was Jim/Pam bonding again and bonding with Dwight. Loved when Dwight forced Clark to get out of Jim's desk. Curious what will happen with Pam overhearing Jim and Daryl's buyout thing at the end.
I still can't believe how far the writers made Andy fall. He was a cool character the last few seasons, then this season they just took a dump on him (not on David Wallace's car). Sad. That being said, I still hate Phyllis and Nellie more than him.
In many ways, Andy is much more like David Brent that Michael Scott ever was.
Michael was equally deluded about many things, but he believed in love and family firstly, which was very un-David-Brent-like. Andy is following Brent's ending story to a tee, which is interesting. His heart is in the right place, but he's just incredibly vain, selfish and deluded. He's become one of those characters who is very hard to love, but he does have those moments...
Besides that, loved it all. Jim and Pam happy was great to see, but she's clearly not going to let Jim give up on his dream. Dwight was also awesome today, glad he finally got what he always wanted.
2 episodes to go.... and "this is gonna hurt like a m%&*$erf&%$er - Michael Scott" - Adam Harris :-p
This episode showed me how much the characters really have evolved over the series (for the most part). Jim and Dwight rooting for each other to become manager was something we definitely wouldn't have seen in the past and the same goes for Angela and Oscar caring about each other.
And when Dwight got offered the manager position, i totally squealed and freaked out because it was all he ever wanted
I know what you mean about Andy, it's like the writers hated the fact Ed Helms went off to make a movie for most of this final season, and decided to punish his character for it!
I agree with you regarding Andy. I can't tell if it's Ed Helms' portrayal or the writers, but for the past few seasons I really haven't like his character at all. He was one of my favorites in S3 and S4. It seems like ever since The Hangover (or was it part 2?) his character has taken a turn for the worse (similar to what Chris Kelly said below except I think it's been far longer than just this season). And I definitely loved the Jim/Pam/Dwight interactions this episode.
if I had to guess, I'd say that it was probably more a choice by the writers as the Andy character was ok the first part of the season after he took over from Micheal, but declined steadily after that. The whole Erin romance, the poorly written adversarial relationship with Nellie (which suprisingly made me sympathize with Nellie - and I couldn't stand her character up to this season- good choice to dial her back to a background character) and then through the unbelievable 3 month boat trip sabbatical... seems to be bad writing..
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Oh my God. That was perfect. I loved it so much.

Cannot believe there are only two episodes left.
