Someone please tell me the name of the actress that plays the mother!!! Need to know! The episode overall was great, not the best, but with good emotional resonance and we finally got to know the mother!
INCREDIBLE episode, so excited for the final season. The Ted-Lilly conversation was really well done, plus some (I know it's obvious, but I have to) a-maw-zing Barney and Robin shenanigans, and a great twist with Marshall getting the offer of the judgeship. Top notch season finale, (again cliche, but I must), is it September yet???
OMFG AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Can not wait for September I have a good feeling that the wedding will be in real time after putting up the thing saying. 56 Hours before the wedding. Hopefully an interview with the EP's will come out soon and we will know more. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
It was the best episodes of the last three seasons. It had everything things that the show kinda lost in the way: a lot of humor, great and balanced story-lines, self-reference, heart, and coherence. And the end was really breathtaking. I actually now have some faith in the final season. I can't wait for it.
God, this episode was awesome. Loved the Barney/Robin arc. Barney getting hit by the door was hilarious. Ted and lily heart to heart was great. Marshall finally becoming a judge. And the mother reveal was awesome, I literally got goosebumps.
56 hours to the wedding, I wonder where they are going with this tho
Yuuuuuhuuuuuu!!! Finally we see the mother, after all this years, I'm so happy, for me it was like love at first sight, I love her already, I think she's gorgeous :). Please Ted, don't do something silly with the collar, or you will regret it. Althouth, it would be interesting if Ted did something crazy for Robin, and the mother sees that and thinks that Ted loves robin, and she tryes to stay away of that relationship, but is still atractted to him. ^^
hey guyz maybe she,z not the mother becoz in credits .it was written the girl in yellow umbrella, it can be any other random girl,if she was the mother it should be written 'tracy'.
Funny, not the best, not the worst, but definitely one of the better ones of this season. Still hate Ted pining over Robin, but they're on the way to the wedding so that'll be over. My biggest gripe was that the episode felt very much like a penultimate or half an episode. This should've been last week and then the finale should've been the finale and ended with Ted actually meeting her. That aside, glad we finally got to see her.
Ted was set up with this girl from the Match Making service. Why do they blur out her face? She was a bass player and wanted 2 kids. It fits perfectly. Season 1, Episode 7 "Match Maker"
I am in love with the mother already. Such a smart cast not so well known yet not an amateur she has a weird innocence about her after googling her she has no model in underwear bent over a muscle car type of photos.. Fuck Ted I want to marry her she is beautiful!
I haven't even watched this episode yet, but now that we know who the mother is, I can't wait for Ted to meet her and start being happy. The guys deserves a break from "the universe", he's such a great guy with extremely bad luck, he definitely deserves to be happy, finally!!! (PS: the Mother really looks a lot life Alyson, should Marshall be worried that Ted actually is secretly in love with Lilly and hides the fact by faking being in love with Robin? ahahaha just kidding)... I can't wait for them to drop this Ted in love with Robin story once and for all, and forever and beyond. So happy!
Finally we saw THE MOTHER!!!!!!!! I am so happyyyyyyyy and she was very cute.
Marshall storyline was so funny especially when he got the call and knew that he became a judge and the suggestions he made, HILARIOUS and it was cute when Marcus called him your honor :)
ENOUGH with the ted and Robin stuff already.. It's been eight years and she is marrying YOUR BEST FRIEND come on dude move on already, I get that he is a hopeless romantic and I am too and I love that about him when he is in love he is all in; but you are killing yourself.. and how can someone be open to meet and love the love of his life and the mother of his children if he is still in love with another girl!!! curious to see how are they going to pull that one off and convince us that his love to the mother is real and she is not a rebound or that he's just trying to forget Robin.
I really loved the episode. I thought Robin and Barney's scenes were great bro-time (can't really rate it higher than that), thought Marshall in Minnesota was hilarious, and I thought Lily and Ted's heart-to-heart was great as scenes between them usually are.
And I really really really love that Robin dug up the locket for Ted before his almost-wedding with Stella. And Ted's line about being willing to bleed out the locket from a vein in his arm just to make Robin happy...just amazing. All I gotta say is the writers are gonna have to work their butts off to make me care more about the Mother in one season after 8 years of Ted's antics with Robin and Victoria and what not. We'll see I guess...and on that note, was not very impressed with our first glimpse of her...I'll reserve judgment until we get to know her a little more, but I was expecting a bit more of a wow factor.
After all these seasons with the chemistry of Ted and robin which is still shown in the scene in the rain in this episode I just don't know how they will ever convince me this woman is the love of his life. Not in one season - probably not in 10 more. And Robin needs some self respect next season. I hope she finds some.
It weird right? but she isn't the mother or the wife yet, so it's not wrong to call her that. Besides everyone who watches the show knows the story of the yellow umbrella
Yeah i really dislike that they have to completely spoil his and all the rest of us (for that matter) meeting the mother with that ridiculous "pining over Robin" storyline. For one it is not that well done and two, Ted as a character deserves A LOT better than that.
The Barney and Robin scenes were way too meh for me in this episode. Although i did like his problems with the door.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
All the Barney/Robin moments were adorable and I loved them.
ReplyDeleteWhoa at Marshall! This may not end well for he and Lily, but they'll get over it.
AND HOLY FUCK THE END. I figured she'd be brunette, but that was not what I was expecting her to look like. I'm so excited for next season!
Finally Mother!Mother!Mother!Mother!Mother!Mother!Mother!Mother!Mother!
ReplyDeleteOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG

Per TVLine, Cristin Milioti

ReplyDeleteThanks :D
ReplyDeleteThe mother has that geeky cute quality that I usually go for.
ReplyDeleteWho very well may set some sort of record for 'most searched name in one day in IMDB history' this evening :)
ReplyDeleteIt was the best episodes of the last three seasons. It had everything things that the show kinda lost in the way: a lot of humor, great and balanced story-lines, self-reference, heart, and coherence. And the end was really breathtaking.

Everything that involved Ted, Lily, Marshall and the mother was just awesomely perfect
ReplyDeleteGod, this episode was awesome.

Ted and lily heart to heart was great.
Marshall finally becoming a judge.
And the mother reveal was awesome, I literally got goosebumps.

I wouldn't call the ending a cliffhanger, though.
ReplyDeleteI admit I actually teared up a little bit at the end!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of this season yet, but I just Google'd her. She kinda sorta looks like Allison Hannigan to me.
ReplyDeleteShe appeared!!!!!!!!! THE MOTHER!!!!" Holyy God....
ReplyDeleteYuuuuuhuuuuuu!!! Finally we see the mother, after all this years, I'm so happy, for me it was like love at first sight, I love her already, I think she's gorgeous :). ReplyDelete"What's the poop, Ted?" made my day <3
ReplyDeleteI thought the exact same thing from the first picture that pops up on google.
ReplyDeletenot to be that guy, but it's "where's the poop" just a simple correction

ReplyDeleteDoes this bother anyone that the mother was listed as girl with yellow umbrella in credits?
ReplyDeleteAmazing season finale and finally The Mother :D
ReplyDeleteI agree and definitely my favorite season finale of all show so far.
ReplyDeleteEpisode 21, Season 1. That is her.
ReplyDeleteI love how I couldn't catch the episode when it aired and got spoiled by a picture posted by the HIMYM page on Facebook. Not cool guys. Not cool.
ReplyDeleteWill have to actually post an opinion when I see the episode.
It's because Ted never stopped loving Robin (as we are reminded ad nauseam) that he meets the Mother! For fucks sake, that's stupid!
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the mother already. Such a smart cast not so well known yet not an amateur she has a weird innocence about her after googling her she has no model in underwear bent over a muscle car type of photos.. Fuck Ted I want to marry her she is beautiful!
ReplyDeletePlease explain what you just said.
ReplyDeleteAlso the mother not being a star - this is the best they could've choose. It feels way more natural.
The execs confirmed that she is the woman.
ReplyDeleteAnd her name probably isn't Tracy. Ted did that just to screw with the kids.
ReplyDeleteOh sorry, I was still a little ecstatic. HAHAHA
ReplyDeleteI haven't even watched this episode yet, but now that we know who the mother is, I can't wait for Ted to meet her and start being happy. ReplyDeleteBut it is :) it gives this "I can't wait!!!" feel, now we know her and we want poor lonely Ted to finally know her too
ReplyDeleteIt weird right? but she isn't the mother or the wife yet, so it's not wrong to call her that. Besides everyone who watches the show knows the story of the yellow umbrella
ReplyDeletemaybe ted would still be single and just fooling around with the kids of some of ted's friends...
ReplyDeleteWhat happened with the "cliff hanger" from the last episode?
ReplyDeletethey also didnt reveal her name :)
ReplyDeleteYeah i really dislike that they have to completely spoil his and all the rest of us (for that matter) meeting the mother with that ridiculous "pining over Robin" storyline. For one it is not that well done and two, Ted as a character deserves A LOT better than that.
