So to sum up, Zoe barely needed an episode after the break up to pick up from where she left off believing that George is her one, Zoe and Wade have barely had a decent scene since the breakup and their fist somewhat meaningful interaction is her asking him to have sex so she can get her mind off George? Really? I mean.... REALLY!?!?!?!?!
Anyone else hoping Hart of Dixie pulls a "Bobby Ewing in the shower" at the end of the season finale with Zoe realizing most of season 2 was a bad dream?
Here we go again right where we were when we stared this season. George is going to run to Zoe said he's in love with her. Find her in bed with wade give me another story line please. I totally a Wade and Zoe girl. And they can't get over this George thing.
Such a heavy episode! I feel very very sorry for Zoe this episode. I know she screwed up, but my personal opinion is that, she wasn't the one who caused Tansy and George to break up. Granted, she went to George to tell him how she felt towards him which I said last episode that she deserved the yelling from George, but it should be done and over with after George reassured Tansy that he didn't have feelings for Zoe. I think it was Tansy's insecurity that caused them to break up. It was her relentless obsession to get external validation to see that there's no problem in the relationship.
I think Max's father is a jerk! When Tansy teamed up with him, it's really not fair for Zoe. I usually liked Tansy but this episode made me feel like glad that she's gone from the show. Tansy going to Zoe and attacking her without any valid reason (I mean, it's not like she went to the prom to see George) is such a bitchy move. Although Zoe should have admitted sooner that she's a drama addict. I have a feeling that George is going to blame Zoe for all this, and they are not going to be shipped anytime soon.
One intriguing thing though is she went to her house with Wade! Now Wade's personal development is getting better, I really hope she and Wade are a couple again.
I like Hart of Dixie but this season had been bad. CW renewed this show but Nikita, which has gotten so good, they can't figure out what to do..I'm perplexed.
Lavonabeth is the only good thing about the show at the moment and I liked Brick and Shelby tonight too. And again I say: Kaitlyn Black for regular! I never saw the chemistry between Lavon and Lemon anyway. What we saw tonight was nothing more than neighbourly friendship.
It's cheat-gate. They knew they wanted to breakup the couple but didn't plan or poorly plan the fallout. I believe they are saving it for the finale. But the post breakup episode seems disjointed and missing it's soul which is Zoe and Wade. Without them the pliable parts of the show is not strong enough to carry the entire episode and it shows. It's missing it's beats and the comedy, quirky events are trying to take center stage and it doesn't work. Yes, the breakup is ruining the show. So hopefully in the finale, we're going to get a sense of the direction the show is headed for Season 3. Hopefully Leila and team understand what is and isn't working.
I'm also hoping that the producers were smart enough to evaluate the success (or lack there of in this case) of their ongoing plot threads and course-correct before filming the finale, but I'm not optimistic. I really do hope they made the necessary creative adjustments because if the finale ends without giving all those disgruntled viewers some sort of proof that HoD is trying to change for the better, they may not come back in the fall.
I'd go a bit further, how about the "morning after". If the writers wanted a triangle (which was what they talked about at the time) the way they eventually chose to develop it was just rubbish. I think the wedding should've taken place, Zoe should've gotten into the relationship with Wade, and then let it all play out during the season, Zoe unsure for her feelings, struggling to have a decent thing with Wade, him unable to change and commit, George wrapped around Lemon's finger with the occasional flirt with Zoe. That sounds more normal than the ridicule we've been watching since September.
Well yeah.... I get that (it really goes back to him just accepting her for who she is, not who she thinks she's supposed to be), but still, how their relationship and their dynamic has been handled since the breakup to me it kinda cheapens that feeling. Because yes, that's how he makes her feel, but she just takes advantage of that without ever acknowledging that it's the case. And after everything I just need her to....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
My poor show, they are so lost. Please come back!
ReplyDeleteAnnabeth FTW!

ReplyDeleteAt this point, I wouldn't even be against that idea...
ReplyDeleteI know right they just don't know where they want to go.

ReplyDeleteLet's face it. Except for Lavon & Brick's love interests, virtually everything on Hart of Dixie since the breakup disaster can be easily scrapped.
ReplyDeleteYou're preaching to the choir my friend....
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell are the writers thinking .. Jeez i can't recognize this show anymore
ReplyDeleteSMH.. its too stupid for words.. am so disappointed in the writers
ReplyDeleteTrue dat!!!

All I took from that was that... She only feels fine when she's with Wade, even if he cheated her, she still goes to him to feel good. Sex or no sex.

Preferable than this long dark place we're experiencing ourselves.....
