It was such a great finale! I just hope Lucy and Raj get back together next season, they have to! It would be too tough finding such a nice paring for Raj. I'm glad that he no longer needs to be drunk to talk to women, it was getting annoying, but I have to say the way he overcame it is poignant. Hands down to a fantastic episode
This episode felt so mature and quite a bit more realistic and sensible; I really enjoyed it! It was a very emotional season finale and I hope we see Lucy back next season, she was adorable.
I've been a fan since day one! I watched this show when it had very few fans, was something you talked about 'in secret', and most certainly wasn't based solely on ratings. So I have always loved it for what it was. The original writing was phenomenal, as was the interplay between the characters. However, it no longer has the original appeal and is far from what it was. I still found the show entertaining, and kept watching hoping that the writing would return to what made it the show that it was. However, this latest season has been the hardest to watch. Honestly, I found last night's episode to be disappointing . . . OK, but disappointing. Laughed a few times (mostly at Jim Parson's character), but nothing like before. This show has become 'Friends 2.0' . . . it has vastly strayed from what made it comical to what has made it popular. This is a common complaint from long-time viewers. I fear that ratings don't equate to being good . . . only to being popular. Popular to those who don't understand what the show was like back in the first few seasons . . . those seasons which kept the show on the air to begin with. I fear that ratings is where this show is at anymore. So . . . watching Season 7 won't be my priority. How utterly disappointing. My 'best' goes to the cast, crew, and fans. It was fun while it lasted!
For a finale, I'd agree with you, too. But I really loved the character evolution for Raj, who's been sorely needing some for about two and a half seasons. Wasn't too interested in Leonard leaving, and I like Leonard. It's just ... this seems to be the norm for a BBT finale - one of the group leaves for a few months.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
One of my favorites of the entire season! It was all that I wanted and even more!
ReplyDeleteloved the ending of how raj can now talk to the women without being drunk
ReplyDeleteLoved that they didn't breakup Leonard and Penny.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for Raj getting over the hump!

ReplyDeleteI'm really sad for Raj, Penny & Leonard are finally a solid couple I like it.
ReplyDeleteGlad Raj can talk to women without liquor! Bummed about Lucy. I love the actress and her character was a quirky good fit for Raj.

ReplyDeleteI know I am going to get downvoted like hell, but I really thought the episode was lacking and was pretty underwhelming.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, that's usually how TBBT season finales are.
I actually agree. Overall it felt less like a story and more like a way to cap the season.
ReplyDeleteRaj may have lost a girlfriend but he won his voice.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for Raj...well, except for the whole Lucy thing...
ReplyDeleteget rid of lucy she has too many problems. either make progress on her or get rid of her. the bitch keeps running away.
ReplyDeleteOkay...they had Raj rambling over the *entire* credits. LOL I didn't expect that to be the landmark event of the season, but it was a really good one.

ReplyDeleteSo happy for Raj!!! But overall it was a ok episode there been better one for me than this one.
ReplyDeleteAmazing season finale, mature, more focus on Raj and btw great characters development here. Season six is definitely one of the best season of TBBT.
