  1. An awesome finale to an awesome season. I really love this show. I was pretty sure that Miss Watson would be Norman's first kill all along but my mouth still dropped at the final seconds. Can't wait for season 2!

  2. What makes you think Norman killed her?

  3. Because when Norman came back to the motel and Norma saw him, he said to her that the only thing he remembers is Miss Watson asking him for a ride and him running on the road alone trying to get home. Not the time when he and Miss Watson were at her house. But I thought they just implied that Norman killed her? I don't know because now that you say that, you have gotten me thinking someone else may have killed her.

  4. The boyfriend call stuck out. Miss Watson's relationship with Norman could have set that person off.

It seems like they left it open ended on purpose.

  5. No. Remember that Norman is going to end up being a serial killer. He'll kill Norma eventually. He does in the movie. "Mother" is the alternate persona that he has.

  6. i see what you are saying, but i disagree...

Norman killed Ms. Watson ... and the reason for bringing up the boyfriend problems is so that they will have a scapegoat to pin it on so that Norman wont go to jail.

He had the blackout like he did when he murdered his father.. and he saw Norma saying 'you know what you have to do' .. which theyve clearly showed is an indicator for when he has entered that 'state' in which he kills people.

There is no reason to have had the boyfriend kill her, it doesnt move any of the characters forward in any way.

  7. Great first season and a very good season finale with a "Question Mark" for a ending! I would have liked a longer season (16 episodes would be nice). I also feel they ended the "Teacher/Student" storyline to soon. The chemistry between Norma and Norman is great (in the weird sense). I wasn't sure at first about the Dillan character, but so far he's turned out pretty interesting and had some great scenes with Norma (like the target practice scene). Norma's scenes with the "Sheriff" are also hilarious! As for the "Death of a English Teacher", if I have to pick between Norman and Eric (the phone caller), I believe Norman is in the clear......................for now (LOL). 4 THE BATES MOTEL CHECK-IN TIME, I am Nobody!!!

  8. Talking about the show in general, I actually liked it. I can say I like it a lot.
What I like the most is, obviously, the mother-son relationship (and I think adding Dylan was a great point).

But all the drugs, chinese girls subplot was totally out of place for this story (and draw too much attention to the Bates family in town). I still think it would have been better if it was set in the past. Now it's too late for that, but at least I hope they will keep the drugs stuff to a minimum next year.

  10. Great finale.

I felt absolutely heartbroken for Emma who was so excited to go to the ball only for Norman to ignore her :(

Sheriff Romero was awesome! and the scene with Norma after he had killed "joe" was funny

  11. when they showed the teachers body, there was a necklace she was wearing, it said "B"
maybe bradley found out who B was and killed her for sleeping with her dad

  12. Come on. It's obvious that Norman killed the teacher. It wasn't the boyfriend. That's silly and just plain ridiculous

  13. You nailed it. Well written

  14. Didn't notice that! Awesome theory, I'm gonna have to re-watch it now.

  15. Great Finale!! I wish Norman didn't kill miss Watson he should of snapped on that guy who punched him in the face, either way I loved the finale and I cant wait for the second season!! and see how Norma/Norman will react to the death of Mrs Watson.

  16. Well, noticed, I saw that, but didn't connected to Bradley's father's letters...

  17. I think it was Norman too, mainly because she has reminded me of a brunette Janet Leigh so much in the show, even more so in this episode than the rest of the season. I was half expecting her to get in the shower tbh, but glad she didn't as that would have been a lil too cheesy maybe.

  18. I do not believe Norman killed the teacher. I think she was killed by the person she was having the argument with on the phone. When he saw his mother say you know what to do.......he ran from the apartment.............he got away.............I agree with itsmacie....the B connection. I guess we are finding out that Norman is not the only NUT in the town...everyone seems to have a screw loose. Not a sleepy little coastal town....with all nice people. Some serious loons and evil doings. I personally enjoy Norma's anger management blurt outs. She is a fabulous actress. You pity her and at the same time you get disgusted with her.

  19. What a great season finale! Just when you think everything is back to whatever normal is for the Bates family, we get to see Miss Watson dead on the floor!

I love how tptb have set up several different scenarios of who killed Miss Watson. It made for an excellent cliff hanger until next season.

Finally, we get to see some character development of Sheriff "Alex" Romero! My favorite scene had to be there on the dock when he shoots Abernathy and says "not in my town"!! Then Romero knows immediately that Norma is there watching him the whole time!! Can't wait for more sheriff scenes next season! He's turning out to be a sort of creepy but also kind of cool character on the show.

Norma's character has really grown on me this season, At first, I hated her but now I like how tptb are showing us how unstable she is and the horrible secret she shares at last with Norman. That answers a lot of what we are seeing from her behavior. I'm glad tptb shared some of her background to help us understand her.

Poor Emma. I felt so horrible for her. She believes that Norman really can understand her as an equal but all he wants is to get close enough to Bradley to watch her instead.

I too LOVE hearing Carlton doing the "Previously on Bates Motel"....reminds me of good times on LOST. Congratulations to him on having another great series!
