Yeah me too, but if Wonderland will be a limited series as they planned, who cares about ratings it will be only 13 episodes. Also Ouat will air for two cycles, one in fall, another in springs. I think it is a good resolution, it wont be too many breaks...
Actually, there will be more than 13 episodes, the exact number is still unknown at this point. Also, this is not a limited series, it just has a storyline that will be finished after the first season. Should the show survive ABC's death slot, there will be a second season with the same cast.
It is actually a smart move by ABC. If it ends up with underwhelming ratings they can still burn it off without fans complaining that they didn't give the show a proper ending. But I actually think the show could do well on the 8pm slot on Thursdays with the proper promotion.
Where did you hear that? I thought it was a one season show and that if it was successful they would look at doing future one season shows but in different places. Ex. OUaT in Neverland or some such thing.
This show looks more and more like it will rise or fall on the shoulders of this actress. Still holding out hope that it will focus on action/adventure and the weirdness of Wonderland than the love story.
Thanks. This actually makes me less excited about the series now. Now the idea of having a closed, self-contained season sounds more like tacking on a cliffhanger in the finale and continuing all the relationship drama that's already bound to be old by the time we get there.
I just hate the merchandising they are making with this show 'cause to me it seems that the only thing they want to sold is the romantic relationship between Alice and that long-hair-guy. And I don't care about it!! If I want to watch a romantic shit, I'll go to watch a telenovela. Please just focus on Neverland.
I also watched the comic con panel and they said it would be more than a season, but this very specific story they are telling would be closed, but they plan on bringing back the characters for another season, with another specific story.
Honestly, I don't know what exactly that means in terms of staying in Wonderland or not, but given Cyprus and Jaffar most likely will connect us to Aladdan/Arabian Nights stuff, perhaps this is a lead in for that story, as opposed to actually putting it all in this one season, unless that is the part of Jaffar/Cyprus flashback???????
Love that Jonny Coyne has a (small??) similar role to his Alcatraz one! Will be interesting to see if he did not advocate to institutionalize Alice for 'wonderland-secret' related reasons!
Wish we had some pictures of Jafar, but I'm really looking forward to seeing him with out Red Queen and how they compare to Regina and Rumple!!!
Also wonder if they will include Margaret, Alice's sister at all???
And oh, please let John Noble be the voice actor for the Cheshire Cat, you know, if he's not to busy with Star Wars or Almost Human :p
Well they only filmed the Pilot and that what most of the promotional photos show, but yes "true love is the most powerful magic of all' is most likely what they are going for here as we hopefully watch Alice evolve into a force to be reckon with.
But given the villains, I would say we have two that already have aspects that are similar to Once's Regina and Rumple, which I'm really looking forward to, let alone the prospect that the Red Queen may have learned her ways from The Queen of Hearts!
Additionally the Knave seems like his story is about unrequited love of Alice...
Then we know there are Jaborwackys to slay (and perhaps a flashback featuring "jack" -which by the way the Knave is the Jack in a suit of cards)
Jafar and Cyprus bring Aladdin/Arabian Night myths to us as well, which could connect/relate to Regina and Sydney Glass...
So I think just even thinking about this on the surface shows there might be a lot to think about.
LittleDreamer is right, but the kicker is also that (in this version of the story) The Red Queen comes "after" the Queen of Hearts, as it appears the "current" story takes place in a post curse Wonderland!!
Looks good ( a little to fluffy to me) I hope they give this show some TLC, and don't make it to soppy and cheesey (OUAT's downfall (don't hate me!)) because I adore Alice
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
i hate they put this at the thursday death slot i just thougth that the all point of this spin off was to air it during OUAT winetr break D:

ReplyDeleteI am confused??? I thought Cora was the queen of hearts. Did Cora overthrow this one??
ReplyDeleteThat's the Red Queen. Cora/Queen of Hearts is a different character.

ReplyDeleteI would have coveted that dress when I was 5 years old! Oh, the days when pink and frilly stuff were enough to make me happy :P
ReplyDeleteSO cannot wait for the show! Though they should have put it with OUAT on Sundays and not on Thursday Death Slot!
