NCIS - Season 10 Statistics + Poll for the Season Finale

NCIS has had one of its best seasons this year in the decade it's been on the air. With one episode remaining, this season of NCIS is averaging an 18-49 rating of 3.34 per, and an average audience of 19.30 million viewers - the second highest audience season average in its 10 seasons. This season's ratings average is about 0.4 of a ratings point down on last season's 3.75 average, but this season's audience average is a fraction higher than last season's 19.23 million viewers

Live+7 DVR ratings this season reflect the same differences. This season's Live+7 ratings have been lower - 4.47 to be exact - than last season's 4.85, while this season's 22.875 million Live+7 viewers is higher than last season's 22.371 million viewers. The decrease in ratings average but increases in audience averages shows the NCIS demographics shifting higher like most shows, but total audience is increasing, which is unlike most shows. The season 10 ratings and audience data is available on this page, and season 9 data on this page. Remember there's still some outstanding Live+7 data thanks to the data being released three weeks in arrears

The highlight of this season in terms of statistics would have to be the twelfth episode breaking the series audience record, coming away with 22.86 million viewers - beating the previous record by a mere 10,000 viewers. A 3.9 rating accompanied the audience record, which was boosted to a 4.9 rating and 26.078 million viewers after the 7 days. Despite this episode earning nearly 2.5 million more Live+SD viewers, the season premiere takes the spot of the highest rated episode of the season, a 4.1. You can see the season 9 ratings and audience data on this page

With the careers (and possibly lives) of the NCIS crew on the line in tonight's finale, what do you think the ratings for the finale will be?? The last two episodes of this season have both earned 3.1 ratings, and well under 19 million viewers. Interestingly, the two episodes prior to the finale last season also earned 3.1 ratings, with audience numbers very similar. However the finale last season picked up another 0.5 of a ratings point, and cracked 19 million viewers. So, will tonight's finale experience the same ratings jump as last season?? Have your say in the poll, and share your thoughts in the comments below

  1. Tough one to call. NCIS's ratings have been all over the place. Low of 2.7 this year up to a high of 4.1.

    My guess would be 3.2/3.3

  2. Agreed, it is a tough call. I think a 3.3 is definitely achievable - a 3.4 is probably pushing it though
