As long as the Pelant storyline isn't dragged on until the ninth season finale, I'm okay with it too (I think I would cry if that dragged on that long because I'm sick of it already).
- I'd like Coach to come back to New Girl. I found his yelling and his anger issues to be very funny in the pilot. - Bones' Pelant can't die fast enough. They've made the character into a ridiculous Bond villain and they did a great disservice to the grounded, realistic (excluding the pace) progression of the Booth / Bones relationship by throwing an eye-rollingly dumb external complication at them. The whole thing is a farce. - I'd be happier if Owen/Sam was the one who was prominent and instrumental next season instead of Ryan. - I'm okay with a Revenge time jump. I think the show could work it either way. - The endless Zoe relationship drama is only one of the things HoD screwed up this season. Almost every aspect of the show was less enjoyable throughout the bulk of season 2. - The Vampire Diaries better play Jeremy's return perfectly. It'll be almost impossible for TVD to convince me that bringing him back wasn't a terrible idea. - The 'shippers will kill me for this but I think it would be more interesting if Kate turns down Rick's proposal.
Your probably right, that was my wishful thinking! Pelant sort of reminds me of Joe on The Following. He is so smart and always two steps ahead of the FBI,no matter what they try they just can't out smart him...
Lets hope his character doesn't take up too many episodes.
THANK YOU (about Bones). It seems lately on TV that writers are making tougher and tougher villains to the point of making them superhuman and frankly Pelant was at that point pretty quickly. There's little explanation for why he gets away with anything besides positing that he's just THAT good with computers.
You can have a great villain without going overboard but Pelant is overboard. In my opinion, the greatest villain is an antagonist fairly equal to the protagonist with 2 major exceptions: 1) They have an extra resource such as wealth, influence, slightly higher intellect, etc. 2) At a key moral decision in their lives the characters went in opposite direction. With Pelant you have are ungodly computer skills and an act of Dues ex Machina any time he gets into trouble.
Agreed. The minute that Bones introduced the idea of Pelant writing computer code on bone I started rolling my eyes and the character just kept getting worse from there.
Getting Coach back on New Girl could be fun! I'd totally be up for that.
I hope TPTB have finally come to grips that Zoe/WADE is endgame, and stop with all the triangle Drama and trying so desperately to make Zoe/George a viable ship. Though I will agree with Wilson Bethel in that Zoe did need the break. I just hope it's a positive thing.
I wouldn't mind f Kate rejects Castle's proposal as long as it doesn't mean they'll also have to break up.
well if she says yes to castle it doesnt mean that there will be a happy ever after for them because their relationship is to much based on RL. if she turns down the job and doesnt even try it for a big, she wouldnt be kate. maybe its the rocky road and her yes that brings her back to NY, to spend all her life w/ castle. to turn him down and to leave for washington would also mean no ryan, esposito, etc - without them caskett doesnt work. *le sigh*
Well, we may not want to get our hopes up so fast. Because as a friend of mine so graciously pointed out *rolls eyes*, it only says that the "current" Pelant crisis will be wrapped up by the end of the first half of this season.
But I'm telling you right now, if he's still going to be around after the Christmas break I'm done because it's beyond ridiculous, IMO.

Yup, Joan's secret on Covert Affairs is going to be that she's pregnant since Kari is in real life. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteLOL - I hope coach does come back as a character on new girl! That would be fricking hilarious and unintentional plot device
ReplyDeleteReally don't like Revenge's spoiler. I don't want a time jump.
ReplyDeleteAbout Bones and Pelant: Hallelujah!!!!
ReplyDeleteWould I like it if he were dead sooner? Definitely. But I can work with by the Christmas break.

ReplyDeleteAh heck,i thought Pelant would have been wrapped up by October, balls!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Wilson Bethel should pitch the HoD writers some ideas. It definitely would not hurt the show.
ReplyDeleteNikita - Noah better not get his way!

It rhymes? As in, "Lou Wu"? I like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm right there with you on the crying thing because I'm sick of it, too.
ReplyDeleteLOL. I'm thinking Nov sweeps.

there's some potential "new girl" scoop under the "happy endings" spoiler! :D
ReplyDeleteabout castle ... kate jsut has to say yes, there is not another answer *le sigh* but it will be a rocky road nevertheless
