And now I can exclusively report that the season will have two new regulars, both with ties to Saul: F. Murray Abraham as retired black ops specialist Dar Adal, and Sarita Choudhury as Saul's estranged wife Mira. Both have been promoted from guest star status.

I love F.Murray Abraham so i am very exited he has joined the cast, can't wait!!!
ReplyDeleteAgreed! And it's curious his character's wife has been bumped up too!
ReplyDeleteThese two are so amazing and improve whatever series they are on. Good news.
ReplyDeleteNow if the writers can just create a coherent story from premiere to finale this year! XD
Aww yay Saul's wife! And I loved what we saw of Dar Adal
ReplyDeleteAmen to that!
ReplyDeleteYa,i was a little surprised by that considering we never knew much about her or their relationship.I guess this will be the season we find out!
ReplyDeleteDo you have anything against the awesome season 2? :)
ReplyDeleteVery interesting. I never expected these characters to be promoted, especially his wife! That means that Saul is becoming more and more important to the plot... and meanwhile, more mysterious. So, is he the mole finally?
ReplyDeleteKlattenhoff out, and Abraham in, the cast's value just incresead a whole lot between seasons.
ReplyDeleteOverall I liked it, but I hated how they ended it with Brody and the explosion outside the funeral bothered me because I've been to a few events of State and you cannot drive anywhere near them. You have to park blocks away and they have concrete or metal blockades set up to stop traffic. Every car that wants through is checked and any car driving in the area would be noticed immediately.
ReplyDeleteMinor gripes though compared to most shows! Homeland is still one of the best shows on TV, I just get annoyed by how the writers create stories that go nowhere because they change their minds later.
*Shrug*
Very happy about these developments, as it means more more more Saul! His relationship with Mira in season 1 was really interesting, and Dar Adal intrigues me. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteOddly, I had not looked at it that way.... GREAT news!
ReplyDeleteOne of those running plots they started and then left hanging. Grrr.
ReplyDeleteHopefully we will get an ID on the mole!
