The press release is all about Abigail, so I'm guessing what Will is suspecting has more to do with that, than The Chesapeake Ripper (there's no way he's figuring things out this season and if he does- he'll think he's wrong and crazy). How does this show keep getting better and better? Can NBC renew this already (or better yet- can someone else pick it up so I won't have to go through so much stress regarding renewals)?
Oh and I'm not big on Will/Alana- I love their friendship and how protective she is of him, but their relationship always felt more sibling-y (or even mother/son) than romantic. Plus she's too protective of him- trying to shield him, fight his battles for him, she's walking on egg shells around him, and I can't see that working for them in a relationship.
Will/Beverly on the other hand.... I love that she's the only one on the show who treats him like a human being, who doesn't try and bubble wrap him` like a fragile child and isn't manipul
Forced in what regard? Right now she's just trying to be his friend, so I don't feel like anything is forced on the show. I think she's the type of person he needs- someone who won't analize him, won't manipulate him, won't try and protect his fragile psyche- she jokes with him, treats him like a normal human being and can also ask him if he's ok. Whether he gets involved with Beverly or someone else, I think a relationship with someone who treats him like a normal human being is healthier for him.
I also like Will/Alana as friends (also in the book 'Red Dragon') and I think them getting involved and breaking up (which is inevitable) will damage their friendship and take time to repair. Will/Beverly I could see as friends, friends with benefits or an actual couple. And if they break up, I don't think it would damage their dynamic as much.
Obviously this is all a matter of opinion. Also I think any romance will be temporary, since once they get to Red Dragon we should be getting Molly.
I like Beverly, but sometimes it seems that she is forcing a intimacy that they don't have. She really is the only person who treats him like a human being and I like of their friendship, but I can't see they as a couple. With Alana it's different, I can see a future (not for now, but eventually). Like you said, its a matter of opinion :P
I agree. I like Beverly, but don´t see her getting involved with Will at all. Also I don´t see any chemistry there. I think Alana and Will are attracted to eachother and I like that their relationship will be complicated. I think I´m a little in love with Will my self. :-)
it has never been said that the show will stick to canon material. also, there was no chance of a Graham/Bloom relationship in the books as Dr Alan Bloom is male.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

This! Totally agree with you about Will/Alana. I don't quite see it. I feel Will and Beverly have more chemistry than he has with Alana. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI think Will/Beverly is a little bit forced. With Alana i'm still figuring out.
