  1. I have so little interest in Rake it is not even measurable!!
Reminds me of House but with law.

Anyone else think that the Gang Related pic looks like a new line of SWAT gear from United Colours of Benetton? XD

Sleepy Hollow looks odd, but intriguing to me.

Not one of the comedies looks even remotely interesting or funny to me.
I will wait to see some footage to form a final opinion of course, but....

  2. Terry O'Quinn with a beard. Of course I'm watching that show!
Almost Human is on my list too, but that photo doesn't really show us anything. :p Hopefully we won't have to wait long for more footage!

  3. Okay, the first thing that popped into my mind seeing Gang Related's picture : hey, that's kind of like The Shield with Terry O'Quinn as the leading bald guy (http://images.starpulse.com/Photos/Previews/The-Shield-TV-17.jpg ) !

Christopher Meloni, Andre Braugher, Greg Kinnear, Karl Urban, Seth Green, Terry O'Quinn : lots of great leading actors coming to FOX his fall. The other networks will have to work hard to top this.

  4. No premise looks funny to me. Like you noted though there are a lot of good actors, but I have not liked a FOX comedy with live actors since....

    still thinking....

    well, um.... ever. XD

I would love Gang related if it was Shield-like!
Just not gonna happen though sadly. It won't have that edge or grittiness The Shield had, but maybe it will be different enough (for a cop show) to entertain me?

  5. Almost Human takes place in 2048! Only 19 years before Observers are made! ;)

There is something interesting about all of them. Worth checking out. But....Sleepy Hollow: Ichabod Crane wakes up 250 years in the future? Sorry; sounds lame.

I almost spilled my coffee and tossed the computer off the couch when reading this! Now that you mention it, yes it does! XD

  8. After seeing Meloni play a really awesome old Vampire ahead of a prestigious sci-fi organization just to be tossed aside after only appearing in six episodes, has me sold that could follow him anywhere! :p

  9. I don't know I like the culture-shock value that might have on making some situations hysterical, but also it allows for genre bending as we might assume "magic" (witchcraft) is what allowed him to time travel to present day! -It would be cool if the show used flashbacks or time travel as plot devices.

You're well known for hating Arrested Development indeed :D. It shouldn't be that easy to forget it was on FOX given how much they've taken for having cancelled it (and Firefly, and The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and other shows other networks wouldn't have even put on the air in the first place).

FOX is no NBC but they have done great live-action comedies :

    - Action : 13 episodes in 1999, only 4 aired, it's on DVD, it has an actual ending and it's full of uncensored "fuck"s (it was made for HBO at first) - one of the reasons it wasn't very popular I guess, also it's the first single-camera sitcom on network TV, before Malcolm in the Middle in 2000. It's like Entourage (and certainly as good as the greatest days of Entourage, seasons 2-3-4) except it revolves around a meaner Ari Gold (the best thing about the show), and it's very funny.

    - Andy Richter Controls the Universe : I seem to recall you like Better Off Ted. While not as good, Andy Richter is definitely cut from the same cloth and those 19 episodes made in 2002 over two seasons are worth seeing.

    - Breaking_in : okay, season 2 (13 episodes, of which I've seen only those FOX aired, the first 5, but it's all out on DVD now) might suck a bit because of the retooling including Megan Mullaly, but season 1 (7 episodes) was a whole lot of fun. Fun concept, great execution, Chuck fans should like this.

I haven't seen Undeclared (Judd Apatow's follow-up to Freaks and Geeks) but it's reviewed positively (albeit not considered as cult as Freaks and Geeks). About Malcolm in the Middle, I've seen it on TV a few times, I've delved into it properly but it's known for being quite good too.

And nowadays, FOX can boast they fact that they have the BEST comedy on network TV, Raising Hope, which you must watch. Force yourself on the first few episodes, they're not the best, but it quickly becomes quite awesome, and it just gets better/wackier/weirder in seasons 2 and 3. Garett Dillahunt is just brilliant at comedy, same for Cloris Leachman, Shannon Woodward... all of them are perfect.

  11. I could not recall AD's date so I just wrote "Ever". Then I went to sleep (as I watched the last 2 episodes of Season 1 ironically! XD

One would think I would recall it was on FOX. Them mocking Family Guy for having huge pop-up ads etc.... Oh well. My bad!

Action was okay, but got old to me. I caught a few episodes of Andy Richter's show and thought it was kinda fun as I recall, but it never made me want to watch it regularly either..

Undeclared was okay, but not as good as Freaks and Geeks.

Never liked Breakin In I guess and I cannot stand Raising Hope. I tried it 3 times and never made it through the full episode I disliked it so much! XD

Malcolm in the Middle was good!

I never watched it when it was in first run, but I have seen a number of episodes in reruns and enjoyed them. Did not know it was on FOX.... Ooops. number

  12. Glad some one got that joke! XD
I think one needs to be of a certain age to get Benetton and their past ads maybe...

  13. Almost Human, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Dads looks interesting to me. Mostly due to some great actors. I just worry about following a new show, only to have it cancelled a few episodes later. Last FOX shows I followed was Alcatraz and Terra Nova, both cancelled.

  14. Some not uninteresting stuff there... since House ended I realised I haven't actually been watching much of FOX, but I think next season I'll probably sign on, on a couple of those....
