  1. "No other broadcast show is pulling off this level of drama"

I wouldn't go that far. Scandal is definitely on par with TGW. The excell in different areas(IMO, while TGW has better writing overall, Scandal is more thrilling and more fun) but they're both excellent.

  2. I don't watch Scandal, but from my understanding they are completely different shows- Scandal is more of a thriller to begin with...

  3. True but the suggestion that its the most dramatic show on broadcast TV is a bit disingenuous IMO.

  4. Putting the Will and Peter issues aside, I truly think it is very selfish of Peter to ask Alicia to renew their vows at this precise moment. First of all, she doesn't seem to know he's behind on votes. It's very tempting to think he is using her, at least partially, in the campaign. Even if it's not his intention, that's what I'd think if I was Alicia and discovered my husband is loosing the election. She is one of his biggest assets with voters anyway.

  5. Let's hope the proposal happens before he finds out then.
But well, that wouldn't be any fun, would it?

  6. But the problem is: if he doesn't tell her he's behind, it's irrelevant if he'll propose before or after he finds out about the numbers. She will probably still think he only asked her because he was loosing. And, as much as Alicia likes him, she still has the shadow of his cheating to remember how much of a mess Peter can be.

  7. What's sad is, even if we assume the best, i.e. he is NOT using her and in fact loves his wife and wants to have their vows renewed, she will probably still THINK he is just using her. It's a lose-lose for Peter and, for once, it might not even be entirely his fault.

  8. That's exactly what I said in my original comment :)
