Epic fail. Steve/Jimmy not resolved and if it truly is then it was a horrible resolution. I'm usually not critical and have an open mind but come on...
Liked it. A lot of moving subtle moments. I can never figure out why the kids keep giving Frank a chance, and then the show kinda makes me feel bad for Frank... not really sure how this will go when it comes back, with Ian gone in the army, and Lip about to go to MIT (which he should go, if for a chance to help his family out even though he doesn't want the pressure like he's mentioned before)
Was it just me that was weirded out that things worked out for some of the Gallaghers? Now of course Frank puking up a ton of blood and pretty much told "you drink anymore, you die" is bad and makes me insanely curious on Frank's future. But! Lip graduated and got a full ride at MIT. Even if he doesn't go (he should), that's a big deal. And Fiona getting a full time job.
Jimmy's fate being left unresolved is a bit irksome, I was hoping we'd see like a little thing of just him to tease us, but I'm assuming he'll be back next year somehow. Not sure how, but he's been in the show the whole time, who knows.
Great finale for a great show. Emmy Rossum continues to kill it, that scene with her and Frank in the hospital and her subsequently crying and running through the halls... truly remarkable work on her part, she deserves far more recognition than she receives.
OK finale. I liked Frank's storyline and that they tell exactly what happened to Jimmy. As for the bad stuff, couldn't care less about Ian's army storyline and about what happens to Karen next.
i know for some reason people are obsessed with the ian/mickey stuff, but hands down best scene, IMO, was when carl shaved frank's head. "To let the sunrays in so they can heal you." It makes me hopeful that he won't grow up to be a serial killer.
hey now, i rarely vote awesome on anything unless i was truly blown away. likewise, i would never deem something as "awful" unless it was a complete and utter disappointment with nothing to like about it. but i was only joking about the "you are wrong" thing. you have every right to think it was awful... but you'd be wrong...
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Cried like a baby... god I love this show so much.

ReplyDeleteAnd being a blind fan and voting 'awesome' week after week after week is healthy? ;)
