Whats with Rachel saying she wouldn't be coming back? Im still paranoid that they might kill her off. That she somehow knows she will die doing whatever it is they are going to do at the tower. I wont relax until I know Elizabeth Mitchell is a confirmed season 2 regular. Thats the problem with me and these types of shows. Im just in a constant fear of worrying about my favourite character being killed off.
Please kill/get rid of Elizabeth Mitchell. She is like a fish on a dock, she flip flops so much. And she has no chemistry with Billy Burke. So all she is is an irrational whining plot device for flashback/info dump purposes. Has to be a better way.
Other than her crap which took up waaaay too much time, I liked the Jason turnaround. He got me for a bit--probably helped that I was predisposed to stupid with Elizabeth Mitchell coming to kill Nevile so I willing to believe the show would keep annoying me. I love it when they flip the script, it gives me faith again. I miss Maggie something fierce though.
Don't really need to, it was a good kiss either way. I think Miles had a plan to arouse Rachel so much that she couldn't physically walk away. A few seconds longer and he might have succeeded. ;)
Just like any mother or someone partially responsible for the apocalypse would act... People are irrational in an emotionally charged apocalypse. Hell people are irrational every day doing mundane things like driving or eating.
Loved Tom rocking to Lionel Richie's All Night Long, how great were those few seconds!
I'm not liking Elizabeth in this show which is disappointing.I find her character hollow, she doesn't express emotion, her facial expression are nil,its like looking at a cardboard cutout.Even the way she moves is wooden.I finally saw her express real feelings when she and Miles were kissing, but i'm not watching this show for that....
On the flip side Charlie has grown up! I'm really enjoying her now,and when Rachel said she was sounding like Miles and Charlie said it wasn't a bad thing just made me cheer her on even more..
Yeah, but the apocalypse was fifteen years ago, and she's supposedly been doing a lot since then--fending off Monroe's attempts to get info from her for years, for one thing. NOW she's a basket case? Not tracking.
When are they going to get the big reveal of Miles being Charlie's father out the way. It's been blindingly obvious for *at least* the past two episodes now.
And do they have to be so in-your-face with all the Stephen King references. Every TV show references The Stand, that's a standard these days (this show even named an episode after it two eps ago). But what with that, and Randall Flynn (Flagg) and the Library full of Stephen King books last week, not to mention this mysterious [Dark] Tower, where's the subtlety?
The acting has got worse I think. It was starting to improve before the hiatus, but now even the ever-reliable Miles is starting to slip. the only one providing solid performances each week is Tom. I seriously wonder why I keep tuning in every week, but the storyline is just too delicious to ignore, even if the writing is almost as sketchy as the acting at times.
Please tell me I wasn't the only one who thought the ambush of the convoy wasn't a shot for shot lift of the opening scene of Iron Man. Except Lionel Ritchie in place of AC/DC. I mean, even the low camera angle as Neville walked around disoriented was EXACTLY THE SAME.
Yes, the one she walked away from years ago because whatever resistance activity she was up to was more important. Suddenly now family is more important?
Hehe, they do seem quite similar don't they. but I just compared the two together and decided they're not really that much the same. You be hard pressed to convince a jury, anyway.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Aside from the Miles/Rachel kiss (Starting to believe that "Miles is Charlie's father" theory more and more), I loved it!
ReplyDeleteWhoa at Jason playing his father like that. Was honestly not expecting that.
LOL forever at Neville rocking out to Lionel Richie. That was just awesome.
Ugh at Rachel just abandoning Charlie like that. So rude.
Such a great episode!
Best episode of the series so far, imo. Liked the science behind the blackout and LOVED the Neville/Rachel/Jason dynamic in tonight's episode.

I honestly thought it was a pretty good TV kiss.
ReplyDeleteI don't ship it though.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone read the Wool/Silo series by Hugh Howey? He has nanos that go through people, destroying & replicating. Just an interesting similarity
