  2. I like how his buddy said that Cat is the real deal. I think Steve needs to be reminded of that sometimes. At least she got the chance to show off her training.

  3. It made me cry at the end.

  4. Clearly I haven't seen the pilot in a very long time, because I had to check and see if the guy in the stock footage really was Norman Reedus. Guess that was back during his "Irish mobster" days, before his "star redneck Zombie slayer" days.

  5. Yeah it was good but there were no game changers to speak of. Not even slightly. All that happened is that we now understand the whole storyline with Victor Hesse better. I'm pretty sure that next week will be the real game changer because Wo Fat is back.

  6. This episode gave us some inside why Steve is who he is a Navy SEAL Commander who picked his best friend to go with him on a danger mission and he had to leave him behind in North Korea something a SEAL never does. I liked his friend Freddie hope Steve will remember what Freddie said that Cath is the real deal. This episode showed how important friendship is for Steve. Steve will have some quilt over Freddie's dead which was show when he gave Freddie's daughter the dog tag chain. I had Tears
in my eyes and a lump in my throat the entire hour This was the BEST EPISODE of all IMO and Alex performance was phenomenal. Michelle did a awesome Job. The Ohana moment at the end was Icing on the cake!

  7. Great episode, I was crying for almost all the time, I think that Steve realised that his team will be always with him, no matter where he'll go. And not always you can see Steve so emotional, so it was great episode, one of the best, from now on my favourite ;-)

  8. AMAZING episode! Alex was brilliant, lots of action and emotions. I've never cried this much to H50 before! Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Definitely worth all the wait. Guess I have a new favorite episode!

  11. Still cannot figure out why Cath was there. Soooo unbelievable her role! I found the episode a bit boring, only good part was funeral scene at the end with the team.

  12. You kidding right!! you call this episode boring I wonder what the writers need to do for your satisfaction
let me guess a hour of McDanno which bore the hell out of me. Cath is the woman in Steve life they have a history together longer then McDanno get over it !!

  13. Unbelievable? How do you figure? And boring? Where we watching the same episode? There was action, angst, emotions...

  14. It was great... I loved all Steve's scenes, Alex was amazing, he left me speechless. Loved the flashbacks and the funeral scene. Too bad that lately the show is giving too much time and space to Catherine at the expenses of the Steve/Danny and team dynamics... I really hope the writers will focus a lot more on their relationships from now on.

  15. Catherine is perfect for Steve. If you don't understand why she was there, then you don't understand anything that they have been trying to tell you about these 2 characters and why they have been together for so long. Maybe its time for you to look at other aspects and leave these two alone. Catherine is here to stay and they just showed you that. It was a great episode. Looking forward to what they have in store for the other characters as we near the end of the season.

  16. Can't even take such a comment serious. If you can't figure out why Cath was there, well, I feel sorry for you.

This ep was not about the team, and that was a really good thing. Jeez, I better stop before I say something I will regret.

  17. This was an awesome episode. Such insight into Steve and Cath. Loved it.

Even though I don't get what the big game changer was. That Steve remembered Cath is the real deal? ;-) No, seriously, that I really didn't get.

But I loved it from start to finish. Sure if you want you could find a few holes in the plot, but show me one show where you can't. So I'm not even going there. I'm going to take this ep as what it was. A great emotional action ride. Bravo guys, well done.

Alex and Michelle were SO good.

  18. I also thought the episode was a little bit on the boring side and it was just ok. I did like learning more background about Steve but I just couldn't see how it really connects to what's going on now. It felt like a stand alone episode which isn't exactly bad, I was just expecting some big reveal or new arc for the current storyline and there was nothing. I would have also liked to have had more of the rest of the team in the episode too. That really disappointed me. Now with Cat I thought it was strange that she went to North Korea with Steve and you could tell it was just done so they would have more one on one scenes together without the team. It made no sense at all. I do like Cat don't get me wrong but if they are going to keep her on the show at least give her believable arcs. (Roller derby anyone?) Now on the plus side, I did love seeing Alan Ritchson on my tv screen again. I couldn't help but laugh at the start when the soldiers were on the beach and Alan was wet. It made it even harder to not think of him as Aquaman from Smallville. LOL! I also loved seeing Norman Reedus at the end of the episode and when the H5O team showed up at the funeral to let Steve know that they are there for him.

  19. Me too I was a bit disappointed on that fact and the words did come from a crew member who is part of craft services he tends to joke around sometimes but yeah I don't know what was going on in his head at that time sorry everyone :(

  20. I guess they didn't get authorisation for that but the fact is that the bunker was right in front of them when they captured the Korean's

  22. Ok enough is enough ... I was not supposed to write a big comment about it, because I think "best episode ever" is enough to explain my love for that ep .... but I can't help to write a few things when I see some of your comments ... The ones who know me from tw or other social networks know that im not usually rude but some of you should watch the ep again ! NOT SURE WE'RE TALKING about the same ep !!!

BORING ???? seriously ???? God, what do you need to have a good ep ??? it was all except boring !!! action packed and emo all the time !!!
even McDanno fans, stop me if I'm wrong but you're fan of Danno AND OF STEVE right ???? It WAS NOT a McRoll ep, but a STEVE's centric ep !!! If you didn't like it, you should probably take a step back and think if you're a real McDanno fan !
And let me prove it that it wasn't a McRoll ep : 1/ NOTHING between them as a couple ! (no kiss no hugs NOTHING) they were in North Korea as the NAVY Seals they are !!! 2 persons working together in a mission ! 2/ no mention of their relation in the present (Steve's said "I'ld like you to say hi to Catherine Rollins not "hey this is my gf Catherine") 3/ the argument they had , it was about "hey I'm worriyng about u i don't want u to go alone, i don't want nothing happen to u ... ..." NO NO, it was about WORK and how usefull she can be for him in that mission ! ... Should I keep going ???
And to end this, what were you expecting , Danny going with Steve ??? Hope not because if yes you're far away from the show !!! Danno won't NEVER do such thing ! Even in a little car chase he's scared ! Catherine was definitevely the best to go with him and it was way to dangerous for him to go alone !

Don't want to offend anyone, but serisouly, if you didnt like the ep, it's because you don't like the show for what it is !

Now that I started, not gonna stop now LOL let talk about the ep :)

I absolutely love it ! BAMF McRoll was awesome, Michelle and Alex did an great job for the action stuffs, it was brilliantly played ! The McRoll argument i liked it, she had the last word, that was brilliant! I really enjoy their relatioship in this ep, as much as I'm a total McRoll addicted, I like to see them working together, as I said before, they were coworkers in the ep, not BF/GF , and it was really awesome to see this side of their story :) and when they just escape from NK, they look at each other and then "BAMF" at the same time JUST AWESOME !
Glad to know how and when everything started, as Freddie said, that might me at least 3 years they're dating, and that's col to know it, we didn't knwo anything about their past in the NAVY :) Hope Steve will remind what he said to him "she's the real deal, dont mess it up :) )
the "how's my boy" from Danno was soooo cute and lovely ! I laughed ad I was sooo touched by that , great moment !
All the flashbacks were awesome, I absolutely loved this, and to see Steve so close to Freddie was great and emotional ! Those 2 were like bro' and it was so great to see how they were able to give their own life for each other !
2 thumbs up for Alex and his emo acting ! Definitively the best actor ever and his best perfo on H50!
When he saw Freddie body and an the end during the funeral, he absolutely killed everything ! it was MAGNIFICIENT ! The little girl was sooo cute BTW :)
    Steve was soooo great !!
and to end this, how can we not talk about the last Ohana scene ! brilliant idea of bringing the team at the end ! They will always be there for Steve, and they prove it once again :) that was beautiful !

So IMO best episode of the entire show, my all the time fav ep !
Congrats to Alex and Michelle for their acting, and to Peter who did a fabulous work !

  25. I thought this was a pretty good return episode for H5O. Seems like this season has been hard to follow with all the breaks we have gotten.
Nice to see Terry O'Quinn return once again and liked how we got some background on Steve and his Navy Seals career.

I've always liked Catherine and was glad when tptb brought her back on the show. This episode showed us how their relationship started way back when. But for me I hope she stays a secondary character on the show since we already have the "team" in place for the regular COTW episodes.

What a surprise to see Norman Reedus as a long lost character from the season one pilot episode! The first thing I said was "Darryl??" Ha Ha !! This was also a nice reconnection to how Steve ends up back in Hawaii which started the whole series. Norman must have done this last H5O episode after TWD finished filming and that was pretty cool since I too had to go back and see if he was actually in the pilot episode.
