After the excellent House of Cards and also Hemlock Grove, Netflix will make the 13-episode first season of its latest original series Orange is the New Black available for streaming on Thursday 11th July 2013.
Here's the synopsis of this dramedy from Weeds creator/showrunner Jenji Kohan :
Engaged Brooklynite Piper Chapman's decade-old relationship with a drug-runner results in her arrest and year-long detention in a federal penitentiary. To pay her debt to society, Piper must trade her comfortable New York life with fiancé Larry for an orange prison jumpsuit and a baffling prison culture where she is forced to question everything she believes and form unexpected new alliances with a group of eccentric & outspoken inmates.
The series' ensemble includes Taylor Schilling, Laura Prepon and Jason Biggs alongside Kate Mulgrew, Natasha Lyonne, Pablo Schreiber, Danielle Brooks, Laverne Cox and Taryn Manning.

Until July 11, Netflix will still be involved in the orange business, as it's kind of the trademark color of Arrested Development, which is set in Orange County, aka the O.C (don't call it that). Season 4 arrives in 26 days !
