Also interesting lack of Snow, Emma, Gold and Neal from promo, which usually means that THAT's the characters with most twisty storylines(as OUAT usually omits those characters from promo, for example 1x22 promos and sneak peeks having almost no Gold at all)
OMG!!! Now, I really hope that Tamara and Greg die for what they are doing to Regina. And Hook too if he is helping them. I'm really excited for these next episodes after this never ending hiatus. GOD(S) SAVE THE QUEEN!!!
Honestly, we haven't tortured Regina enough yet emotionally, let's do it physically too? ....JFC Do like the charming/emma family moment (I assume this is after Henry got Gregara-napped) Is that a funeral scene? Drawn guns into Regina's old office (?) I assume has to do with A: Henry going missing B: Regina going missing.
Emma was in the promo. She's in the mayor's office with Charming in one scene, at a funeral in another (think Snow is right behind her with Charming), and in the apartment with Charming and he has his arm around her and gives her a kiss on the top of her head. Plus the scene again of her saying "Storybrooke isn't safe." Rumple was mostly in the Lacey scenes, and one with Regina telling her there will be consequences. But yeah Neal doesn't appear in any of the new scenes, and Snow is mainly shown in flashback with Regina, where Snow pulls her bow on her.
He may be testing out whatever Tamara and Greg have for killing magical "creatures," to be sure it will work before he tries it on Rumple, since I'm sure he found out that Rumple survived the poison.
WHAT THE FLYING FUCK IS GOING ON?!?! IS THAT A FUNERAL?! WHOSE?? At this point I really think that Regina is the most tortured character ever in the history of TV shows, and OUAT is just on season 2. God only knows what else is yet to come until the series finale, but I would love so fucking much if they let her be happy just for once without being completely broken in the next second, seriously, how hard would it be to do this in one episode? Just one episode, go torture someone else, there are plenty of other characters in this show, too many actually. (we've had some spoilers from the finale and we've seen some of those who were there shooting so it can't be neither of them dying, can it? UNLESS, those scenes are from the season finale, and oMG I'M SO NOT PREPARED FOR THIS)
Normal people: oh, how cute, Charming family moments! Me: Regina is getting tortured, awesome! Trust me, I love her and don't want the woman to suffer, but at least I can say that's unexpected, something I'd all but given up on OUAT.
Looks awesome! I hope the ratings pick up now when it is back! Also, are they finally going to acknowledge that Emma and her father need to develop their relationship too? About time! And looks like a huge doses of Regina! Looking forward to it!
I for once don't care about Charming/Emma bonding - it comes way too late in the season, plus David has grown a pompous prick anyway. I'm curious though as to whose funeral it is (assuming it is a funeral) - it looks as if it could be Regina's but we know she's going to reappear in the finale so my guess is she's only pretending to be dead to trick people (as we know from one of the synopsis, "she sneakily double-crosses Hook" ). However, it also looks like she's seriously in pain - I actually see it as a perfect opportunity for Emma having to save her (who else?!). Now Greg and Tamara are the new baddies in town, the others will have to unite against them, a nice little chance for Regina to show she's changed? Also, I'm convinced all that will be in The Evil Queen episode and not Lacey, which makes me think if the first upcoming episode is going to be any interesting at all... (I'm not taken by the Rumbelle story either...)
I hope the Regina being tortured doesn't take place in Lacey because with all the Rumbelle stuff they're gonna cram in there it would be too much. Although funeral, Regina being tortured and looking a little dead, maybe they think she's dead.
O.K., the funeral...a family is torn apart...is Neal dead? Murdered by Tamara? Or are they burying Regina, believing she is dead after Owen/Tamara tortured her with this electric-shock device in order to kill her magic and to find out the whereabout of Owen's father??
But would the Charmings attend Reginas funeral? And Lately the show didn't much to support the notion that Emma/Regina/Henry were a family...So my guess is Neal.
Sorry to intrude in the discussion, but I can't help it. The problem, IMO, is this is a one time event in over 6 episodes, all of which were supposed to have lots of "surprises" and "revelations", but just turned out being incredibly predictable. Neal is Bae, Cora is the queen of hearts, Tamara and Greg are connected, etc. I'm not saying they don't make sense (mostly, they do), but it's slightly boring to watch the show and see all your predictions confirmed. This is one of the things that make users loose interest...
What got me the most was that scene where Belle said "You really are as dark as people say..." and then she SMILED. Plus, she looks totally different now.
I agree with you. The addition of this sci-fi element with Tamara and Greg is a great idea that should have come sooner - this whole second half of the season has felt way too muddled. The only really good parts were "The Miller's Daughter" and "Welcome to Storybrooke", the rest of it could basically have been boiled down into one or two episodes with better pacing.
And that's my problem right there. They need to go for the absolutely absurd and/or nonsensical in order to surprise or for people to not roll their eyes and say "Well, that was obvious."
And considering that Regina's storyline is pretty much following the final three episodes of Buffy Season 6/the first few of Buffy Season 7, I'm not really all that surprised. Jane Espenson is very predictable.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
My poor poor regina what are they doing to you :(

OMFG....Charming and Emma!!! Finally some bonding time. They are all I care about from this promo.
ReplyDeleteOwww Charming and Emma :) they just melt my heart
ReplyDeleteFucking finally! I've been waiting forever for Charming/Emma bonding moments! That was cute.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for this.
What are they doing to Regina?!? That looks horrible. And Hook is helping them?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, we haven't tortured Regina enough yet emotionally, let's do it physically too? ....JFC

ReplyDeleteI know I love it! Such a cute father daughter moment!
ReplyDeleteI knew there was something in that taser!!!

ReplyDeleteMe: Regina is getting tortured, awesome!
Trust me, I love her and don't want the woman to suffer, but at least I can say that's unexpected, something I'd all but given up on OUAT.
Is it wrong that the part of the promo that I liked the most had Emilie de Ravin/Belle/Lacey in it?
ReplyDeleteOmg YES - Emma and charming? i've been waiting for this! Love this show!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome! I hope the ratings pick up now when it is back! Also, are they finally going to acknowledge that Emma and her father need to develop their relationship too? About time! And looks like a huge doses of Regina! Looking forward to it!
ReplyDeleteI think we have all been waiting for that! Awesome they are finally giving us something!
ReplyDeleteYes yes! I'm so looking forward for that moment, especially because Emma looks sad:/ wonder what happens :/
ReplyDeleteanyone knows what the song used in the promo is about at 0:16 - 0:20? am I the only one who cares lol?
ReplyDelete"And a family is torn apart" while showing Emma, Henry and Regina. Interesting.

ReplyDeleteDid Mary Margaret gave one of her hats to Emma and force her to put it on? :D
ReplyDeleteI feel the EXACT SAME.
ReplyDeleteShe also has a bruise on the side of her face...O.O So excite for some daddy/daughter moments! :D
ReplyDeleteO.K., the funeral...a family is torn apart...is Neal dead? Murdered by Tamara? Or are they burying Regina, believing she is dead after Owen/Tamara tortured her with this electric-shock device in order to kill her magic and to find out the whereabout of Owen's father??

afaik some pictures show Neal in FTL (neverland?) with Aurora and such but I might be wrong. So I don't think it's him.
ReplyDeleteI would laugh so hard on if Snow just happened to punch her for no reason at all...
ReplyDelete(i am a cruel person I know, but snow punching people is the most hilarious and awesome thing ever)
I gotta admit, that would be fun! haha
ReplyDeleteSee, these are the moments I find unexpected. I'm referring to our discussion on the Podcast post.
ReplyDeletenope, you're not the only one xD

ReplyDelete*shrug* Even if it is wrong, you're not alone. :)

It's not that they're predicted, it's that they set them up to BE surprises.
ReplyDeleteNeal's not dead. We're not that lucky.
ReplyDeleteNot at all! I'm GIDDY over that whole scene and I cannot wait to see what Gold does with this new Belle.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!
ReplyDeleteHa I don't know about Gold, but I know what I'd do with the new Belle...
ReplyDeletecan someone screen cap that moment with emma and charming I want that pic but idk how to screencap.
