Tweets regarding these episode from Sarah Drew's live tweet Q/A session have been added at the bottom.
Grey's table read for 923 today. Can't tell u anything about it. But I can say that after 9 seasons and 195 table reads, I still love my job.

Woke up thinking about what's coming in the final 2 episodes of GA...I don't know how @shondarhimes does it. This is going to be thrilling.

@rach_ranz don't know about the finale. There is something super duper fun in 23 though!
— Sarah Drew(@SarahDrewGreys) April 5, 2013
Speculate away!
We already know that it's a two week finale, and Episode 9.23 will have an explosion.
ReplyDeleteHopefully CL is in shock cause her character leaves. No time for Jo Wilson AT ALL. NO substance to the character whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteHow do you know about the explosion?
ReplyDeleteThere was a spoiler about it when Shonda 'changed her mind' again.
ReplyDeletethe CL tweet is giving me a shock 'cause i don't know what to think about that statement...is it really bad and if what happens in the finale????
ReplyDeleteI agree!!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Brooks/Mousy doesn't get blown up, murdered or other devices to leave. She's quite fun as is Leah. The others can go.
ReplyDeleteFrom a spoiler. I don't remember which site.
ReplyDeleteShe's good, all the others could go as far as i'm concerned..
ReplyDeleteHeather and Leah are my favorite too.
ReplyDeleteShane is way too annoying.
I hope Shane get blown up in the explosion. He is way too annoying.
ReplyDeleteWho else is hoping Jo dies? It can't just be me.
ReplyDeleteOh Shane is a gonna. After last night he's headed either for the funny farm or some unfortunate demise. He's not staying.
ReplyDeleteIt's not just you. I'm guessing that Shonda is quite worried about Jo and Alex because they've been written so poorly and with such a lack of depth that she can't help but be aware of viewer response.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe it's just us and we will have to put up with the plastic Jo for S10.
tease.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what they will do this time but i am very excited about it
ReplyDeleteThere is an explosion but I am not sure that it has anything to do with the doctors. The spoiler was from Kristen, who does a really bad job with spoilers. According to the side for 9 x 23, there is a patient who was in an explosion named Leon, who has an abdominal injury. His abdomen is full of metal shards.
ReplyDeleteJo is worthless she needs to go jump of a ferry boat
ReplyDeleteSo we got a 2 part finale which usually means tragedy and character deaths. That means one or more of the interns may bite the dust.
ReplyDelete- Tina Majorino has a TNT pilot (Legends) that could very well get picked up. So, while Heather has been at times the most entertaining intern, she is a kill-off candidate.
- The writers never bother writing anything for Leah (Tessa Ferrer) and as a result the character is dull, nondescript, forgettable, and expendable.
- The only thing the writers have done with Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) is to hook her up with Jackson. Just like Heather and Leah, she has no significant backstory, very little character definition, and is dependent on other characters for screen time. Another kill-off candidate.
- Shane (Gaius Charles) still isn't the most likeable intern but the writers seem to like inserting him into stories with a variety of different series regulars. He's always popping up somewhere on the show and just for that fact alone he's probably safe.
- Jo (Camilla Luddington) is the only intern for whom the writers have made an effort to flesh out as a significantly defined character. She has a detailed backstory and a solid foundation for her personality, attitude, and choices. She's the only intern that gets as much screen time as Shane and the only new character that the writers and Shonda Rhimes seem 100% invested in. I highly doubt she's going anywhere.
Urgh at all the CL and Jo hate. Izzy is gone people, deal. Alex deserves a chance to be happy and Jo seems yo be his best shot at it.
ReplyDeletedoes anyone concern about the possibility that that Shonda might give alzheimer to Mer, because i am really worried after this episode....
ReplyDeleteWell obviously Shane and Jo are the obvious to keep, considering Jo is the one who they've invested most time in and Shane, who is a male in a predominantly female cast, rounds out the numbers. The rest are fair game but Stephanie seems like a protege for Christina. I don't really think your post is very well deduced, it's rather obvious points.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing to deduce. It's simply a point of view.
ReplyDeleteKeep mousey TM is definately the much needed comedy relief and as much as ppl hate it jo will be sticking around she is gonna be with Alex he probably make's his move in 23 that why CL is in shock.
ReplyDeleteShane need's to go absolute try hard nobody and well damn me Derek told him in no uncertain term's he isn't cut out for Neuro.
Stephanie and Leah meh don't think they will be missed either.
I wonder what's the "badass stuff" April will be dealing with, and why should we "Get ready to be blown away!"
ReplyDeleteI want Alex to be happy... but a sloppy intern with a painfully forced relationship pairing, acted by a bad actress to the standards of 90210 is not good enough for Alex. Sorry, i'm not trying to be a 'hater' but I just really do not like Jo, and I probably never will.
ReplyDeleteI doubt she would give Mer Alzheimer's this early.
ReplyDeleteThat's my first thought, but with this crazy woman (shonda ) you never knows she didn't hesitate to kill so many people in the past, so i am a little bit afraid for what comes ahead...
ReplyDeleteNow, I can understand not liking Jo as a character, your prerogative. But dizzin on CL's acting ability makes me not take your opinion seriously at all.
ReplyDeleteIf you think CL can act to the standards of Ellen Pompeo, Candra Wilson or Sandra Oh then I don't even need to argue with you about it.
ReplyDeleteNice, putting words in my mouth now.
ReplyDeleteCL is a young actress, still green, but with lots of potential. It would be unfair to compare her to those awesome ladies that have been in the business for far longer.
lack of story line always made me think leah was never meant to last...and as much as I love jerrika hinton, I feel like she was kinda set up not to last by being put with jackson when we all know he's going to eventually end up with april. Shane and jo definitely look like the best candidates for regulars. I think shane 's storyline could grow to be interesting b/c there has never been a resident who really had a real passion for neuro. I think meredith tried out neuro b/c she knew she would get all of derek's attn and she wanted to find an alzheimers cure. Although I do think lexie would have been a neuro surgeon had she not been killed off. Random thought: what in the hell ever happened to intern steve and his pregnant wife meagan and the other interns that started with lexie???
ReplyDeletehe only told shane that he wasn't cut out for neuro so he would explore other specialties...sorta like when bailey was covering for callie (who was chief resident at the time)and told christina callie said she needs to look into other specialties when haun erased her name from her service and we all know yang was born to be a cardio surgeon. Shane was definitely made for neuro
ReplyDeleteI don't presume to know what other members of the spoiler TV community are thinking and by using the word "unnecessary" I'd be tempted to say that you seem to be missing the point of having a comments section but I think you've actually got a firm grasp on the idea:
