FOX Announces Season Finale Dates and Storylines for 2013

This May, FOX presents massive television events, series premieres and season finales, as well as all-new episodes with big guest stars, including the global premiere of music documentary RIHANNA 777 May 6; a two-hour HELL’S KITCHEN event airing on a special night, May 13; the two-night season premiere of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE May 14 and May 15; the three-hour, two-night season finale of AMERICAN IDOL, featuring the final performance show May 15 and the final live results show crowning the next music superstar May 16; the one-hour season finale events of THE SIMPSONS, FAMILY GUY and THE CLEVELAND SHOW May 19; the series premiere of new comedy THE GOODWIN GAMES May 20; the season premiere of MASTERCHEF May 22; and the series premiere of new unscripted drama TOXIC OFFICE: DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO GO? MONDAY

Monday, April 29
BONES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Secret in the Siege” – Season Finale
When evil tech genius Christopher Pelant (guest star Andrew Leeds) returns to toy with the Jeffersonian team in their newest investigation, they discover a string of murders tied to FBI agents close to Booth (David Boreanaz). Meanwhile, as the investigation unfolds, Sweets (John Francis Daley) realizes that the evidence seems all too familiar to him, and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) starts evaluating her relationship with Booth as signs begin to point to him as a potential target of Pelant’s.

THE FOLLOWING (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Final Chapter” – Season Finale
In the explosive first season finale, Ryan (Kevin Bacon) races to stop Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) before his endgame reaches a deadly conclusion.

Monday, May 6
FOX SPECIAL: RIHANNA 777 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – World Premiere
Global superstar Rihanna soars in the exclusive world premiere of concert documentary RIHANNA 777, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at her unprecedented globetrotting concert tour that hit seven countries in seven days with seven shows to promote her seventh album, “Unapologetic.” The film provides fans with stellar performances of Rihanna’s greatest hits in exotic locales, as well as an inside look at the singer’s ambitious and often turbulent tour.

BONES (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Diamond in the Rough”
In an encore episode, featuring cast members of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, Bones and Booth go undercover on a ballroom dancing TV competition to solve the murder of a female dancer.

Monday, May 13
HELL’S KITCHEN (8:00-10:00 PM) – “10 Chefs Compete” / “9 Chefs Compete” – Special Night
In a two-hour special event, the remaining chefs compete to participate in a glamorous photo shoot and host an intimate dinner for distinguished members of the United States Army. Then, the chefs are challenged to design and execute their own dinner menus before one more chef is sent home.

Monday, May 20
RAISING HOPE (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) – “Not Indecent, But Not Quite Decent Enough Proposal”
In an encore episode, the Chance family meets Sabrina’s (Shannon Woodward) mother (guest star Melanie Griffith) at the funeral of her grandmother (guest star Tippi Hedren), whose last will and testament has a big impact on Jimmy (Lucas Neff) and Sabrina’s relationship.

THE GOODWIN GAMES (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Pilot” – Series Premiere
Starring Scott Foley (“Scandal,” “Grey’s Anatomy”), Becki Newton (“Ugly Betty”) and T.J. Miller (“Our Idiot Brother,” “She’s Out Of My League”), the new inventive family comedy features three estranged siblings who return home after the loss of their beloved father (guest star Beau Bridges) and unexpectedly find themselves poised to inherit more than $20 million – if, and only if, they can adhere to their late father’s wishes.

NEW GIRL (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Cabin”
In an encore episode, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) invites Nick (Jake Johnson) and Angie (guest star Olivia Munn) to spend a couples’ weekend with her and Sam (guest star David Walton), but once there quickly discovers two’s company and four’s a crowd.

THE MINDY PROJECT (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Danny Castellano Is My Gynecologist”
In an encore episode, when Mindy (Mindy Kaling) needs a new gynecologist, she asks Danny (Chris Messina) to take on the role, although the two engage in a game of chicken to see who will back out of the deal first.

Tuesday, April 30
HELL’S KITCHEN (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “13 Chefs Compete”
In anticipation of Steak Night at HELL’S KITCHEN, Chef Ramsay challenges the Red and Blue teams to create five beautiful steak dishes. Later, dinner service gets off to a rocky start when one diner finds an unpleasant surprise in her dish, and tempers flare during another dramatic elimination round.

NEW GIRL (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Virgins”
Flashbacks tell the story of how Jess, Cece (Hannah Simone) and the guys each lost his/her virginity and how it has affected their current romances. Dennis Farina and Dylan O’Brien guest-star.

THE MINDY PROJECT (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Triathlon”
Mindy considers converting to Christianity to seem more appealing to Casey (guest star Anders Holm). Meanwhile, the staff competes in a triathlon against the midwives (guest stars Mark and Jay Duplass), and Danny’s ex-wife, Christina (guest star Chloe Sevigny), returns to New York to confront him. Then, Morgan (Ike Barinholtz) makes a mistake that costs him his job.

Tuesday, May 7
HELL’S KITCHEN (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “12 Chefs Compete”
Chef Ramsay announces that HELL’S KITCHEN will be hosting its first-ever Quinceañera and the teams must throw a party fit for a princess. Unfortunately, when one chef throws another under the bus, guests are left hungry and dinner service comes to a halt. While frustrated at both teams, Chef Ramsay makes an unexpected decision.

NEW GIRL (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Winston’s Birthday”
Jess’ dad (guest star Rob Reiner) chooses the worst day to pay the loft an unexpected visit, forcing a nervous Nick to spend time alone with him. Meanwhile, Jess gets a shot at a big new job on the day before Cece’s wedding. Then, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) struggles to publicity date a less-than-physically-ideal woman, and Winston (Lamorne Morris) continually psyches himself up for his huge surprise birthday celebration, which no one seems to remember to throw for him. Mary Lynn Rajskub (“24”) guest-stars.

THE MINDY PROJECT (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Frat Party”
Mindy acts as a mentor to a college student (guest star Francia Raisa). But when Casey and Mindy unexpectedly hit a rough patch, she decides to drown her sorrows at a frat party where she reunites with her old flame, Tom (guest star Bill Hader), and all hell breaks loose. Meanwhile, Danny and Jeremy (Ed Weeks) try to woo Morgan away from the midwives.

Tuesday, May 14
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Audition City #1” – Season Premiere, Part 1
Returning for its landmark 10th season, the Emmy Award-nominated dance competition series waltzes into the first of a two-night season premiere. At the opening audition rounds, host Cat Deeley and resident judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy meet the new talent who showcase breathtaking dance performances as they compete to be named America’s Favorite Dancers.

NEW GIRL (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Elaine’s Big Day” – Season Finale
Cece’s wedding day finds Jess and Nick making a decision about their relationship. Meanwhile, Schmidt schemes with a typically overenthusiastic Winston to sabotage the nuptials, although a shocking announcement may be bigger than anything he plans. Taylor Swift and Rob Reiner guest-star.

THE MINDY PROJECT (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Take Me With You” – Season Finale
When Mindy decides to go to Haiti on a volunteer mission with Casey, Danny and his ex-wife, Christina, throw a party for them that they will never forget.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Audition Cities #2 & #3”
The auditions continue as host Cat Deeley, along with resident judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, meet new hopefuls competing for a chance to make it as a finalist and ultimately be named one of America’s Favorite Dancers.

Wednesday, May 1

The two finalists take the stage to battle it out on the last performance show of the season at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. Plus Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips and Carly Rae Jepsen perform.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Audition City #2” – Season Premiere, Part 2
The auditions continue as host Cat Deeley, along with resident judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, meet new hopefuls competing for a chance to make it as a finalist and ultimately be named one of America’s Favorite Dancers in the second night of the two-night season premiere.

Wednesday, May 22
MASTERCHEF (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Auditions #1 / Auditions #2” – Two-Hour Season Premiere
After a nationwide search, the best home cooks in America arrive in Los Angeles to present their signature dishes to judges Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Graham Elliot. The hopefuls whose dishes impress the judges the most will earn a coveted white apron and move onto the next round.

Thursday, April 25
AMERICAN IDOL (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) – “Results Show”
As the countdown to the Grand Finale begins, another finalist is eliminated from the competition.

GLEE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Lights Out”
After the school’s power goes out, Will (Matthew Morrison) and Finn (Cory Monteith) lead the students in an “unplugged” session. Meanwhile, Kurt (Chris Colfer) asks Santana (Naya Rivera) and Rachel (Lea Michele) to volunteer at a Vogue.com benefit with Isabelle Wright (guest star Sarah Jessica Parker). Nene Leakes (“The New Normal”) also returns.

Thursday, May 2
AMERICAN IDOL (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) – “Results Show”
In another nail-biting LIVE results show, the finalist who receives the fewest votes will be eliminated from the race for the title.

GLEE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Wonder-ful”
The members of New Directions take on the greatest hits of music icon Stevie Wonder. Then, Artie (Kevin McHale) receives news that could affect his and his mom’s (guest star Katey Sagal) future. Meanwhile in New York, Rachel prepares for her “Funny Girl” callback. Kate Hudson guest-stars.

Thursday, May 9

The tension mounts, as another finalist is sent home in an all-new LIVE results show.

GLEE (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “All or Nothing” – Season Finale
The members of New Directions travel to Regionals. But the competition gets tough when they go head-to-head with the Hoosierdaddies and lead singer Frida Romero (guest star Jessica Sanchez). Meanwhile, Rachel finds out if she gets the callback for “Funny Girl” on Broadway.

Thursday, May 16
AMERICAN IDOL (8:00-10:07 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) – “Winner Announced” – Two-Hour Season Finale, Part 2
The most anticipated night of the television season is finally here! On the second part of the two-night season finale, the Top 10 reunite on the stage one last time before host Ryan Seacrest reveals the newest American Idol.

Thursday, May 23
HELL’S KITCHEN (8:00-9:00 PM) – “8 Chefs Compete” – Time Period Premiere
The remaining eight chefs take a spin to determine which type of international cuisine they will cook in a challenge that will test their ability to create an exquisite ethnic dish using only select ingredients. Later, one team falls behind even before dinner service begins, and the other team’s strongest competitor makes shocking mistakes. After the worst dinner service in HELL’S KITCHEN history, each team must nominate their weakest chef in another explosive elimination round.

TOXIC OFFICE: DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO GO? (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – Series Premiere
In this new unscripted workplace experiment, the boardroom doors get blown wide open when employees are given the power to make some tough decisions. Frustrated bosses will hand over the reins of their companies to the employees, offering their respective staffs a chance to make changes in the workplace – even if it means letting co-workers go.

Friday, April 26
KITCHEN NIGHTMARES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Prohibition Grille”
Chef Ramsay is in for a challenge when he heads to Everett, WA, to visit The Prohibition Grille. Professional belly dancer-turned-restaurant owner Rishi is struggling to keep her business afloat and is in desperate need of help, but will she take Chef Ramsay’s advice?

TOUCH (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Accused”
Martin (Kiefer Sutherland) attempts to clear his name with a skeptical Detective Lange (guest star Mykelti Williamson). Meanwhile, Jake (David Mazouz) leads Avram (guest star Bodhi Elfman) to a possible member of the “Righteous 36,” and Aster Corps executive Nicole Farington (guest star Frances Fisher) accelerates the company’s nefarious mission.

Friday, May 3
KITCHEN NIGHTMARES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Chappy’s”
Chef Ramsay heads to Chappy’s, a Cajun-style restaurant in the heart of Nashville, where he meets owners John (Chappy) and Starr. The couple’s original restaurant in Mississippi was destroyed in Hurricane Katrina, forcing them to move. But since its Nashville opening, Chappy’s hasn’t found the same loyal customer base it once had. Find out if Chef Ramsay can help turn this restaurant around.

TOUCH (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Fight or Flight”
Following an intense encounter with Aster Corps enforcer Tanner (guest star D.B. Sweeney), Martin and Trevor Wilcox (guest star Greg Ellis) go undercover to prevent Farington from harming the “Righteous 36” in the name of corporate greed.

Friday, May 10
KITCHEN NIGHTMARES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Amy’s Baking Company” – Season Finale
Chef Ramsay heads to Scottsdale, AZ, to visit Amy’s Baking Company, which might be one of the cleanest restaurants in the history of the show. Cleanliness aside, Ramsay and the patrons find a number of issues with the food and service. Owners Amy and Samy refuse to pay attention to any critiques, but will this duo listen to Chef Ramsay, or force him to walk away?

TOUCH (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Leviathan” – Season Finale
As Aster Corps closes in on the completion of the number sequence that could catapult them to the top of the global economy, Farington endangers her two newest test subjects – Jake and Amelia (Saxon Sharbino). Martin and Trevor race against time to save them before they are killed and Aster Corps changes the world forever.

KITCHEN NIGHTMARES (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Yanni’s”
In an encore, Chef Ramsay visits Seattle, WA, to help the family owners of a Greek restaurant that’s in desperate need of an update.

BONES (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “The But in the Joke”
In this encore episode, Bones and Booth investigate the murder of a telemarketer/comedian whose remains wind up stuck to the back of a graffiti artist who is still alive.

NASCAR on FOX presents exclusive coverage of Sprint Cup racing from Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, VA. Race announcer Mike Joy calls the action on the track alongside analysts Darrell Waltrip and Larry McReynolds.

Officers from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department are called to help detain an unruly suspect and stop a woman who appears to be soliciting on the Vegas strip. Also, the Atlanta Police Department is called to a gas station where a woman accuses her male friend of punching her in the face and throwing a brick at her car. Then, patrolmen from the Toledo Police Department find two female neighbors fighting. Plus, officers from the Sacramento Police Department pursue a suspect hiding in a neighbor’s backyard, and find more than they bargained for in the process.

Rallo (Mike Henry) heads to East Stoolbend to stay at Robert’s (guest voice Corey Holcomb) apartment for the weekend. But when Robert abandons him for a trip to Baltimore, he’s forced to make friends with the tough neighborhood kids. Meanwhile, Cleveland (Henry) and his friends discover the joys of hanging out at the beautiful, lush Stoolbend Cemetery. Rapper T-Pain guest-voices.

THE SIMPSONS (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) – “Pulpit Friction”
Homer (Dan Castellaneta) is recruited to be a church deacon by the trendy new reverend in town (guest voice Edward Norton). But Bart asks Flanders (Harry Shearer) to help him track down their former pastor, Reverend Lovejoy (Shearer), when Homer starts to embrace the faith a little too seriously. Meanwhile, Marge (Julie Kavner) finds out her dry cleaners mistakenly swapped her wedding dress with one of Krusty’s (Castellaneta) costumes.

BOB’S BURGERS (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “Boyz 4 Now”
Tina (Dan Mintz) drags Louise (Kristen Schaal) to a boy band concert against her will, and much to her horror, Louise develops her first crush on the band’s youngest member, Boo Boo (guest voice Max Greenfield).

FAMILY GUY (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) – “Total Recall”
Stewie’s (Seth MacFarlane) beloved toy, Rupert, is recalled. Then, Peter (MacFarlane) gets sick, so Lois (Alex Borstein) replaces him in a bowling tournament.

AMERICAN DAD (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Full Cognitive Redaction of Avery Bullock by the Coward Stan Smith”
Stan (Seth MacFarlane) is shocked when Agent Crisp (guest voice Phil LaMarr) from CIA Internal Affairs tells him that Deputy Director Bullock (guest voice Patrick Stewart) is showing early signs of dementia and must have his memory erased. Steve (Scott Grimes) runs into a bully at school, so Roger (MacFarlane) hires an old friend to take care of the problem. John Leguizamo and David Koechner (“The Office”) also guest-voice.

THE SIMPSONS (7:00-7:30 PM ET/PT) – “Love is a Many-Splintered Thing”
In an encore episode, Bart’s heart strings are pulled once again when Mary Spuckler (guest voice Zooey Deschanel) returns to Springfield.

THE CLEVELAND SHOW (7:30-8:00 PM ET/PT) – “Of Lice & Men”
When Rallo must chop off his beloved afro after a lice outbreak at school and his classmates make fun of him, Junior (Kevin Michael Richardson) takes him under his wing. Meanwhile, Freight Train (guest voice Craig Robinson) and Cookie (guest voice Frances Callier) leave Cleveland to house-sit for the weekend, but things go awry when all his friends come over.

THE SIMPSONS (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) – “Whiskey Business”
Moe (Hank Azaria) finds a new lease on life when rich venture capitalists take an interest in his homemade whiskey. Then, Grampa (Castellaneta) injures himself while babysitting Bart, and quickly discovers he prefers being cared for by his grandson than by the staff at the nursing home. But Dr. Fist (guest voice Bryan Cranston) reveals that the elder Brown’s surprising behavior may be the result of dementia. Then, Freight Train takes Junior to the local YMCA, where the athletically challenged teen discovers he’s a pole-dancing savant.

THE SIMPSONS (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Saga of Carl Carlson” / “The Man Who Came to be Dinner” – One-Hour Season Finale Event
Homer, Moe, Lenny (Harry Shearer) and Carl (Hank Azaria) win the Springfield Lottery. But when Carl takes off to Iceland – his homeland – with all the winnings, the guys embark on a Nordic adventure to rescue the cash. Then, the Simpsons board the wrong ride on a trip to “Dizzneeland” and are transported through the galaxy to Kang and Kodos’ home planet, where the inhabitants try to eat Homer in a giant fondue.

FAMILY GUY (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) – “Road to Vegas” / “No Country Club for Old Men” – One-Hour Season Finale Event
Stewie and Brian use Stewie’s time machine to go to Las Vegas for a Bette Midler concert, but chaos ensues when the machine malfunctions and creates alt-versions of the pair: a “lucky” version and an “unlucky” one. Then, the Griffins are invited to join the prestigious Barrington Country Club and, of course, get thrown out.
