MoviesYou did it, Marshmallows!
Less than 12 hours after Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell announced a Kickstarter campaign, fans have raised the $2 million necessary to fund a Veronica Mars movie. It’s officially on!
“My mind is blown. I’ve been fantasizing about this taking big and had to tell myself, ‘Stop it, Rob, you’re being silly. You’re setting yourself up for disappointment,’” the Mars creator.tells EW. “And now today has exceeded the wildest pipe dream I let myself entertain. Holy cow. We better make a good movie. These amazing fans have stepped up. We better deliver.”
“I knew Veronica Mars fans were cool, but I had no idea they could rally with such power. They are unstoppable — just like Veronica. I will have a permanent blush on my face, feeling so lucky to be associated with this entire thing,” says Bell.

ReplyDeleteYEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!! I'm so happy, I can't even ... I'm finally getting a real LoVe ending other than that freaking look (which I was not at all bitter about)! And Veronica/Keith with their father/daughter batner, and Dick and his inappropriate stupidity, and Wallace and Mac and Weevil (I hope), and Jason Dohring being all Logan is just ... gah. Yes. This was favorite show in high school, and I'm just so glad we're finally getting a chance to the show wrapped up.
ReplyDeleteHOLY SHI!!! THIS IS SO AMAZING!!! THIS IS HAPPENING GUYS!! ASDFGHJGFDSDFGH
ReplyDeleteI always wanted a movie but never thought it was possible. Now it is so close to happen! I'm so glad that they never gave up to do this movie, as a fan I feel honored.
ReplyDeleteIt's is going to be awesome!!!
this seems really sully to me... but I guess more power to tad.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe we did it! Best news EVER!
ReplyDeleteIs this real life? Oh man, that is the best news EVER! My face has been blue forever but at least now I can stop holding my breath.
ReplyDeleteOh, my!! I'm so shocked. This happened so fast!!
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens when 6 years of pent up "feels" explode onto a passionate project. I am so overwhelmed that we will actually have our Veronica Mars film, and even better, we're part of how it came to pass in the first place! it was our money that started it so that we as fans can feel we've actually done something actionable with our efforts instead of searching for an endless array of petitions to passively sign. It's a good day to be a Marshmallow. :D
ReplyDeleteYEEEEES!!!!!!! I can't believe it. It's happening! The best fan base ever and there is still time left to donate so I am sure the budge will be more of enough for them to make it big!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I've always wanted to watch this show and now it's a must. Though how much am I going to hate where season 3 ends in terms of completeness? 'Cause then I will only start it when the movie is done...
ReplyDeleteWOW! Best fandom ever. I'm literally getting goosebumps reading this. It's so awesome!!!! Start of a new era!
ReplyDeleteBEST NEWS EVEEEEEEER!!!! I'M SO HAPPY so FUC*ING HAPPY!!!!
ReplyDeleteTake that Warner Bros! Veronica Mars has a HUGE fanbase, and the proof is that in ONE DAY it has reached 2.5 milions of dollars!!!!
This is going to be Wonderful! Rob started to talk of sequels if the movie will be successfull, my miind is just exploded
Hooray, really, really pleased by this news. Think the fan response has been incredible and ffrom a fans point of view it is great to be able to put money where our mouths are: we wanted a movie and we are prepared to paymoney to see it happen. Take that studio execs!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! Congrats to you VM fans! This gives hope to all of us! (Are you hearing this FRINGE Fans?! I think we should fund season 6 or a Fringe movie!)
