Warning: If you do not want to know about spoilers for season 4, then stop reading. In a interview with CBR they asked Gale Annhurd about season 4 and she said "We are going to amp up the threat of the walkers, because they've started to seem like a manageable threat. They are not a manageable threat," Gale told CBR. "But, it is the people who you think you can trust who betray's you, that you have to fear. It is the monster inside you. We all have them. How do we keep them in check?"

  1. I just hope they bring some new faces to the group because the way things are going by the end of season 4 we'll be left with Rick and Carl, eventually Glenn or Daryl.

  2. Sounds pretty generic, though I have to agree that the zombies have been more manageable this season. They don't actually feel that threatening at the moment.

  3. I was hoping we would get to see running zombies. They scared the bejesus out of me in Resident evil.

  4. Different mythos entirely dude, ain'tever gonna see running zombies on TWD

  5. somebody from the prison group is gonna betray Rick, it is also part of the interview but not shown here.

  6. I can only see two ways to make the walkers more of an unmanageable threat. A) the virus evolves, giving them super intelligence, speed or even some Tyrant style mutation, so we'd be seeing some Walking Dead Boss Battles, or B) Just a hell of a lot more of them. Larger hoardes. I can't see it being anything like A... that might work for Resident Evil, but it doesn't feel right for Walking Dead. So more hoardes it is. Good.

  7. I agree, the walkers this season have been relegated to background scenery. Need more emphasis next season.

  8. yeah, sorry. i didnt want to take the whole story (respecting the source/author etc.) - but u found the second spoiler ... ;)

  9. Sounds like they're going to make it more based on Walkers. I had hope for Season 4, but Walking Dead is all story. Walkers are background scenary like the comics. You can't make them anymore threatening. There slow and stupid like all zombies. People want Resident Evil zombies or Day Z type ones.

  10. I agree. I think this is spot on.

  11. I totally agree exept at the beggining when they were taking the prison... That's why I stopped watching it for a bit

  12. Yea totally true I couldn't see them being like that either, like Call of Duty Zombies is so unrealistic when it comes to a zombie take over but it works.

  13. Hoardes would be right on. Esp. if they move to another area, out of the countryside and closer to what was once a larger city.

  14. Agreed! I love the arcs where there's little zombie action in the comics. Like Alexandria and the current Negan arc.

  15. I'm thinking Hershel's gonna do something. When he was sitting with Beth and Maggie, feeling bad about the idea of giving up Michonne and he's, "What I wouldn't do for you girls -" Then Rick walks in and it's like Hershel had something else he wanted to say to them, but didn't. Dunno what Hershel might try to do, but I have a hunch he's gonna be the other "big death" this season.

  16. I really don't care for the running styled Zombies, and I love Resident Evil - the games and the films.

  17. That's what they are in the comics, though. You could go 20 or 30 issues without a single roamer being killed. See a bunch, but at this point, they're like, "Why bother risking ourselves if they're not coming after us?"

  18. Yeah... unless you have the Governor by your side, in which case he'll just dispense of the whole hoard by himself in a narrow space without so much as a gun... or something.

  26. you know whats really funny .. if ya all watch season 1 again ... walkers ran and climbed fences then ... now walkers n just dumb cannibals lol a waste of space ... cuz i remember seeing walkers climb a fence after rick when him and glenn make a run for the truck ... now well c what happens just remember the dead dont get tired so they can never b manageable just avoided

they run all the time, not sure what your talking about, they might not go full sprint but they definitly run in the walking dead. examples...... when the walkers were chasing sophia, when rick and glen were walking down the street in atlanta covered in guts, when they started running so did the walkers, shit the walkers even were climbing over fence near the construction site. or when shane and ottis were at the school, the walkers also ran after them. there are many more examples but i think i wrote enough to prove that walkers can run in the walking dead.

  28. This isn't left for dead or resident evil..zombies are scary enough just being in packs.there's no need for sprinting..and when there's also psychotic humans to deal with what more do you want? If they hadn't taken refuge in the prison where would they be?dead or in the governors town..how fn boring would that have been..I'm just anxious to see if winter plays a role in the show...cuz idk if u know it or not but it gets pretty damn cold in Georgia in Jan. And Feb. Wonder if cold affects zombies like ppl..nothing worse than running in winter getting sweaty and ending up with gneumonia..just saying so all u haters shut up and get ready for season 4.. or don't watch..it'll still Max out ratings without u..

Those aren't what I would call 'running' zombies, I was referencing the type Fabaa was referring to, the crazy full tilt ones, like the ones in World War Z
