Week 14! Thanks everyone for their contribution!
Not a lot going on this time, so my choice this week is:
Show: PERSON OF INTEREST
Episode: “Proteus”
Date: March 7, 2013
Actors: Michael Emerson, Luke Macfarlane, Taraji P. Henson, Sterling K. Brown
The Scene: Finch confrontation with Fake Agent Fahey
I don’t what is it about the show that makes even its filler episode a really great one. Kudos to the brilliant creators for making the series so extraordinary! As for my favorite part of this episode, it’s definitely the showdown between Finch and the fake Agent Fahey, the serial killer.
The dialogue is very well written, with Finch pointing out the differences between the two of them constantly changing their identities. Saving lives vs. destroying them. Not to mention the bit about “Agent Fahey” being amateur at this all. And the mystery behind the glasses. Wow, Finch! I really like this slow character development, learning about our heroes personalities and history with time and like here, seeing the whole new side of them. The acting, as always, is one of the best parts about the scene. Opposite the always amazing Michael Emerson we got Luke MacFarlane with his very good and quite scary performance as a sociopathic killer.
Also, it’s a nice change to see Det. Carter coming Finch to the rescue instead of Reese (though I was hoping he’d show up a bit later) and surprisingly mysterious Det. Beecher. I am interested to see how he fits into the story… Anyway, can’t wait to see what the creators got for us next week.
NOTE: The scene was also picked by Darth Locke and Jimmy Ryan as Scene Of The Week!
“Luke MacFarlane did an excellent job playing this strange intellectual sociopath and this episode was exceptionally creative and an outside the box psychological thriller!” Darth Locke
“I really enjoyed the scene with Finch facing off against Declan (Fahey) at gunpoint, with Finch standing proudly on the fact that he saves lives while Declan (Fahey) takes them. Finch also says Declan (Fahey) "is an amateur at this" when talking about assuming people's identities” Jimmy Ryan

FROM JIMMY RYAN
The Following, “Let Me Go”, March 4, 2013, Actor: James Purefoy
The Scene: The scene where Carroll finally arrives at the house to meet his followers in the last 5 minutes of last Monday's episode was one of the most eerie, uneasy scenes I've ever seen. The darkness of the night coupled with the darkness of the man and his followers, the innocence of Joey in the presence of evil, and "If I Had A Heart" by Fever Ray as a backing track, came together in a pretty amazing way considering the subject of the scene itself.
NOTE: The scene was also picked by Sharon Seymour as Scene Of The Week!
