James Woods has been tapped for a recurring role on Showtime’s upcoming drama series Ray Donovan. He joins fellow heavy hitters, Liev Schreiber, who plays the lead, and Jon Voight, who co-stars. The series centers on Ray Donovan (Schreiber), the go-to guy who makes the problems of LA’s celebrities, superstar athletes, and business moguls disappear. Voight plays Ray’s father, whose release from prison sets off a chain of events that shakes the Donovan family to its core. Woods plays Patrick “Sully” Sullivan from South Boston, who has a very complicated history with the Donovan family.
