  1. Ok ep, but confusing for me... I like the exposition that Guillermo is one of the 36 and I assume that they will show why he's on this mission to kill the others (my guess is that whatever he once "predicted" and failed to correct led to a tragedy of some kind and this his macabre way of penance)... and I was wondering how he knows how to find the others when all it seems he does is wander around with a beat up file with some pictures, which feels a bit clumsy as I would expect that he is working for a group that doesn't the 36 correcting the world for their profit or some other reason. The other thing that was thin and didn't quite make sense was Guillermo shows up in Mexico City after just being in New York... just to go to confession? There are plenty of churches in NYC... Also, why didn't the priest try to call for help before he was attacked, they were in a police station for goodness sake..
What was also unbelievable in the writing was if Jake and Amelia are so gifted, they should've just waited/met at the Donkey Kong machine in the arcade rather than go out in the open where they could be so easily abducted. At least we know that Norberg's mother isn't the kindly grandmother type that she was first portrayed, just like Calvin she thinks that she has the best intentions, but she's willing to ruin Amelia/Lucy's lives. Not really sure what to make of the ending, but obviously there will be consequences and that might be the impetus to why Lucy's character leaves (according to what I've read) the show

  2. The point where the show lost me was when they were at the arcade and Lucy was running to Amelia and instead of running to her mother, Amelia just stood there waiting ... waiting ... waiting... and then she was abducted. If Amelia is that smart, she shouldn't have taken a taxi directly to the arcade, which enabled them to find her, and she should have run to her mother when she saw her.

  3. Awesome episode, Jake and Amelia are the key to understand Touch. Why Amelia not escape before? Because is not the right time, is all about destiniy, fate and understand how the world works. You can't change the future, Martin understand and trust in Jake, Lucy in the other side choice the wrong way, If everything is connect like the show say, make a bad choice change of the course of things.

  4. Amelia knows this is not the right time to go back for his mother, but I think the scene in the peer give Lucy more hope to find her now.

  5. Totally frustrated screamed at my TV for Amelia to RUN RUN ......argggggghhhhh Oh well we have to stay hooked ....Lucy is not like Martin but Martin has Jake and Lucy is at her wits end. These people keeping Amelia from her mother and wanting to also capture Jake.....WHY WHY WHY to study and save the young kid in the hospital. How about talking with Martin and Lucy and explaining the situation about how special their children are and that they have a destiny and a fate to save. Not all this kidnapping crap..are they hurting Amelia more than mentally are they abusing her??? This whole thing is getting crazy. I want Amelia to be with Jake and the both of them to be with Martin who from the start of the show has grown leaps and bounds in understanding his sons special gifts. I ADORE when Jake grabs his dads hand...it gives me chills and tears well up ....I am so happy for both of them but Keifer Sutherland your acting at that point is awesome I feel your happiness and joy right through my TV. I hope Jakes first spoken words are Dad or I love you Dad...............that will be a tissue box event. Please don't make it be Amelia!

  6. Jake wanted Lucy to see Amelia but Amelia and Jake knows she had to return to the Norburgs for a reason yet to be revealed, I suspect it's because there is something special about Calvin's brother, and he may be one of the 36 (before his accident) and perhaps was the reason Calvin began work on the number sequence, but then needed Amelia to continue it to save his brother.

This is alluded to in the similar scenes wherein Calvin reminisces about playing sports after which his brother holds his hand, and then Martin talks of the same subject and Jake grabs his hand, mirroring the former.

The kids know they do have to help Calvin's brother and that he is somehow involved, and that's why they knew Amelia had to return and why she didn't run to her mother even though she wanted to. Jake may have wanted Lucy to see she's alright because as we presume, something will happen to Lucy at the end of the season and there may not be too many chances left for them to reunite. That's why both kids left the 29 clue on the Donkey Kong console, so Martin and Lucy could find and see Amelia. Remember Amelia and Jake already know what's going to happen. (Amelia's dice rolls)

Guillermo can find the other 36 because the show has formerly explained that we are connected by invisible mathematical strings that tie us all together in our interactions (the red thread of fate) and the 36 are able to see these strings so it is not difficult for them to find each other. Since we now know Guillermo is (or WAS) one of the 36, it's not difficult for him. Jake easily knew how to find Amelia.

Guillermo Ortiz's character is a Jesuit Priest, being a fraternal military-like order of priests in the Catholic Church also known as "God's Marines". In 1652 a Jesuit Priest named Athanasius Kircher deciphered portions of the Rosetta Stone using the Coptic Mass before it's official translation. He also introduced the "Tree of Life" found in Judaic mysticism that is possibly believed to contain an alteration.

A belief of the Catholic Jesuits is that humanity is separated from divinity, therefore no human can attain equality to the divine. Some think Kircher placed "The Abyss" between the lower branches and The Source (i.e. top of the tree) meaning no one can reach the top of the tree while alive. Guillermo tells the waiter in s2e1 that his tree of life pendant is "perfection of the universe. each has their own path to God, destiny preordained. It’s a mortal sin to deny it."

So Guillermo believes the 36 are evil while alive because they have divine powers, being the Judaic "Lamed Vav Tzadikim" (believed to be the 36 righteous people whose role in life is to justify the purpose of humankind in the eyes of God by the mystic powers which they possess, to succeed in averting threatened disasters, and that should a person claim to be one of the 36 that it is proof that they are not one)

So when Guillermo reveals to the Catholic Priest that he is one of the 36, he is either lying, or WAS one of the 36, but is no longer. This is alluded to by the fact that Rabbi Avram says that if Guillermo deviates from killing the 36, then he is just a Godless murderer, which is why he can't kill him. Now that Guillermo has killed the priest, he is just that, as Rabbi Avram had called him "an enemy of the 36".

    Another reason Guillermo might believe the 36 are evil and a deviation from the natural order of God is because The sum of the integers from 1 to 36 is 666, the number of the beast; i.e. 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + ….. + 35 + 36 = 666.

Guillermo after being offended by Avram is feeling guilt over his actions, for which he had to return to his church for confession to seek forgiveness and acceptance, I think that's why he left New York so abruptly, it may have been his native church. He does not receive his absolution from the priest and kills him.
