Pretty good ep. Kinda sorry to see Lorelei go without actually pointing Jane in a better direction to who RJ is. I do wish they would move the whole RJ thing along faster and give us something of a major win for the good guys as it really feels to be dragging on too long., imo
I would NEVER have guessed that Lorelei dies in this episode- NEVER! The whole ep. did indeed feel like a finale, so I'm really thrilled (and a little scared) to see what they have in store for that!! Great acting on all sides... and very, very emotional, too.
Don't agree with this. Seeing as Bruno said the clue she left us in 5.08 (handshake) is what WILL lead to Red John's capture, what more do we want from her? This episode was more about wrapping up Lorelei's arc and providing a cuationary tale for Jane in his approaching Red John. That last line 'she had it coming' was very telling. This was a perfect episode. I voted awesome.
Not sure really. For me, the Lorelei arc ended in a somewhat underwhelming fashion. I think majority of us predicted she had it coming, maybe that's why I expected some other surprising twist in this episode.
Exactly, there was no other ending for her. There's no other way her arc could be wrapped up but death at the hands of Red John. It was the natural conclusion, and well done. Another thing about this episode is how emotionally intense it was, especially for Jane/Lorelei/Lisbon. Wow. And Homeland Security...wtf is going on there?
I think we all knew she had it coming from the moment she said she worked for RJ. After he didn't kill her at first, I kinda figured that she wouldn't be killed until the season finale or sometime next season because he wanted to keep her around for a while to get to Jane. Was not expecting that ending last night.
I love Red John episodes. It's a shame most of the season feels like filler episodes. I kinda wish it was the last season so we would finally get some answers.
Breaking Lorelei out of prison, gaining her trust, helping her solve her sister's murder, turning her against Red John. It's sad to see that entire thing was an utter waste. Jane learned nothing from the whole endeavor except the fact that, at some point in time, he shook hands with Red John. Also, I fail to see the logic behind one, Lorelei's decision to not only go after Red John alone when clearly she could have enlisted the help of the one other person in the world that wants Red John dead as much as her, and two, why she had to kill the other guy who could have told Jane Red John's name after promising Jane he could get him to tell Red John's name. She said she had to leave and did not have time to tell him Red John's name, for some reason I'm not buying that. From a narrative standpoint, all seems like a forced attempt to bring Jane back to square one. Lorelei, of all people, should know how dangerous it would be to take Red John on her own. Well, hope the finale ties everything together better.
Also, I still think that this handshake occurred before Jane's family was murdered. Lorelei was killed in a carnival type place, could that be a clue? Jane used to work at one as a kid.
I don't know where Connor learned it but I learned about the finale title here: http://tvline.com/2013/03/07/bones-castle-mentalist-once-upon-time-spoilers/

Jane really crossed over the line this time! Lorelei is Dead and Jane did not get the name of Red John.

ReplyDeleteBTW, could you point me to that comment from Bruno Heller. I think I've missed that interview.
