It didn't surprise me that Captain Renard was allied with the resistance. Didn't expect that Adalind was planning to get pregnant. Was she going to get her powers back that way?
Beyond awesome! It was worth the wait to see my dreams come true. Nick and Renard are in alliance, and Juliette's with them in Rosalee's shop (and Rosalee's there!). A few things turned out differently than I expected after seeing promos, interviews, etc. But it was all good. I really did think that Renard knew about Nick's Grimmness from the beginning, not just because Aunt Marie came. (I wonder if Nick can forgive Renard for her murder). Can't wait to see what happens next week.
Yes... I would like the Supremely, superperbly, Fantastically AWESOME option!!! That was so so much better than the ads showed it would be! I loved it!!! So glad Renard and Juliette didn't 'do it', so so glad Renard is with the resistance. This show was my favourite show and I didn't even think it could get this good. While Hank is still kinda dead air time (his character's purpose has fallen behind Juliette now) the rest of the cast is so great!
Or have a supercharge baby (but with a half-daddy and a mom with no power does it give a 1/4 power baby....or a 3/4 power baby and it doesn't change anything that mommy doesn't have power anymore...?)
So much fun! The fight scene was great, Renard is allied with the resistance and tentatively with Nick (for the moment), Adalind is evil and pregnant (and trying to get her powers back or at least get protection via the child)... nicely done, Grimm! And what exactly is going to be involved with reversing the spell besides the potion Nick took? After all of this, is Juliette in the know? They can't possibly keep her in the dark anymore, right? ;)
Fantastic ep that made the long hiatus somewhat a memory. Nice way to kick off and forward the mythology some while giving us a view into the mysterious agenda of the Captain. I hope that they finally get the spell removed from Juliette and the Captain and move forward. Obviously it looks like Juliette will finally get to see behind the curtain.... and it remains to see what effect that will have on her not to mention her relationship with Nick....
The pregnancy was a nice unexpected twist but the rest was flat. Rosalee comes back from "helping her aunt" and then its "oh yeah I know how to fix this" Well good to know that the great insurmountable mystery that was Juliet's condition was suddenly so easy to figure out. Lazy, short cut writing. Too much Chloe and her computer with that one. Its been a long four months but I remember now why this show always left me unfulfilled. Entertainment wise it gets the job done; but its not very good. Could be so much better.
I want an option above Awesome. I loved so very much about this episode. Monroe struggling to keep Nick from going postal.
And THAT IS HOW YOU CRAFT A PROMO....I had absolutely not idea that the scene with Juliette and Renard kissing would end with her firing her gun. Whoa.
That flip thing Nick did when he was fighting Renard.
I must say again....NICK MOVE THE FREAKING TRAILER! Good grief! It doesn't matter that Renard found the trailer a different way (that I have forgotten, in 4 months, specifically how he found out ) But once one person found the trailer he should have moved it.
And Adalind....found a way to keep Renard from killing her. Don't think it'll keep her safe from his brother, but Renard won't hurt her for at least 9 months.
So true about the promos. Here is what the promos led me to think: Juliette and Renard would go all the way, Nick would take Renard outside and take a swing at him, Juliette would shoot Nick to make him stop and Nick would fall to the ground in pain. Ha ha ha, totally not. Now I have to know in what context is Monroe looking down at someone and saying, "Dude, that's gotta hurt." Bet it's in the next episode and it's Nick he's talking to, after suffering the effects of the potion. But you never know, the way these promos go.
This was great! I honestly hadn't missed Grimm until last week (I mean there were other shows filling the void) when I realized it was coming back and now I'm right back to waiting for more once again. But man it's still a little soapy but hey Rosalee is back and Monore was on fire and up front. One request even if Nick and Juliette get back together can Monroe and Nick still live together? My new fave brotp for sure.
It was a pretty good episode the way it answered questions but I didn't like how they figured out so much in 20 minutes that we've been waiting for them to figure out all season. I seemed like an season finale(one where they were told they wouldn't be getting another season.)
The way they figured out the cure seemed to follow a logical sequence, IMO. Once they realized that the Captain was responsible for waking Juliet, everything started to fall into place. Then they deduced that he must have taken Adalind's mother's potion ( made with a list of ingredients purchased from Rosalee) and that he therefore had to be a royal. Once they knew how Juliet woke up and what potion was used to wake her, it became much easier to figure out a cure. I didn't feel like they were cutting corners.
Lot of great in this episode. The scene of Adalind getting released from jail and walking away like a victim was really funny. Great to have Rosalee back, although she wasn't gone for long. My one disappointment was that I expected more fight between Nick snd Renard before they started cooperating. Not that they're there yet, but I feel a little cheated out of a great fight.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

What a fantastic way to come off of a 4 month hiatus!

ReplyDeleteBest episode of the WHOLE SERIE. It was fantastic!

ReplyDeleteOh how I've waited for this episode. Definitely huge. Great episode.

ReplyDeleteI so hope that the ratings are good and that coming back after a 4 month hiatus won't hit them too hard.

I loved how Nick had to drink that fouls substance.
