Given that FOX wants to air the season finale of the ever amazing Raising Hope next Thursday, my only comedies will be the freshly renewed Cougar Town as well as the latest episode of the best new network comedy of the season (Go On, that is). And let's not forget Justified, concluding its 4th season next Tuesday — I'm catching up now, this show is still awesome and Patton Oswalt rocks, as usual.
But really, my eyes will be stuck on France/Spain. What? There's not much to say on this type of post so I might as well say what I'm actually going to watch :D.
After last October's very convincing game in Madrid (1-1, which should've been a win for les bleus given that Jeremy Menez had scored a perfectly valid goal, but whatever), tonight we could put Spain 5 points behind us, since last Friday Finland also had the great idea to stop Spain from getting a 3-point win at home (1-1 despite the 70% ball possession of Spain, that's pretty incredible) while we won 3-1 against Georgia (the country, not the state : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR5otApDYRY), putting us 2 points ahead of la roja (and we have the same +5 goal difference). With only 3 games (9 points) left to play in September/October, a 5-point lead could guarantee us the first place, forcing the current Champion to go in playoffs in order to go to the World Cup.
But it's not done yet, we'll have to play as well as we did in Spain, Italy (2-1 win) or against Germany (a 2-1 loss, but that was a great game) and better than last Friday (we had a wild half hour between 42' and 67' when Giroud, Valbuena & Ribéry scored, the rest of the game was pretty good but not overly outstanding : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npClbrYPRbA (goals at 4:55', 6:19', 8:05' and, sadly, 9:10')). With Spain in the group at first the most realistic outcome was to finish #2 and go to playoffs, but given how things are turning out, we have one shot to end the suspense in this group tonight. This is Benzema's last chance to prove he's still worth being #1 attacker of the team, he's having a tough season and the renewed confidence in him by Deschamps will hopefully pay off. Allez les Bleus ! No matter what happens, it will be an exciting game for sure.
I have watched it many times on demand and CWTV, but we support the show and we watch it live, its a thing of us BATB USA fans we watch it live no matter what, you know? :)
Truth is.. it's no deterrent for most #BatB fans that tonight's episode is a 'repeat', when most of us have episodes of 'Beauty and The Beast' LOOPING repeats all day every day!! #justsayin So, SEE U 2NITE @ 9/8 (CST) on The CW!
Unless you're one of the 25,000 people with a Nielsen rating box in their home, you're probably wasting your time (if you are, then I apologize in advance for this post!). People forget that viewers represent a "product" that the TV stations try to sell to advertisers and sponsors. A "product" who consistently loops repeats of a show all day, every day, isn't really desirable to the sponsor who wants to expose his/her advertisement to as many people as possible. I hope for your sake that advertisers don't read fan boards or aren't smart enough to figure out the difference!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Nothing. Theres no Pretty Little liars or The Lying Game or White Collar. My Tuesdays are boring till summer. =/
